She even ran a delivery out to a disabled guest. I had the double bacon cheese burger with fries, and it came out quickly and was delicious, too. The lemonade was the perfect southern lemonade - the kind you could feed right to a hummingbird and send them buzzing off. My favorite part? My meal was cheap - I'm talkin' c h e a p. Oh, and I'd like to congratulate one of the servers. Her pet pig just had piglets.

The old lady who was managing was very rude to me and my husband and wouldn't quit glaring at us from the time we walked in till we went to the counter to pay. We asked the waitress if we had done something wrong and she told us her manager is "Just old fashioned and doesn't like mixed race couples, but she won't do anything but glare." I think this is disgusting and we will not be going back to this restaurant any time soon. People should not have to eat in an environment like that just because some old lady doesn't like something. Please speak out if you've experienced the same because the only way to fix a problem it to make sure that they know why they are losing business.

Now, I probably should know better than to enter a small Deep South restaurant with a San Francisco Giants' jacket and order a veggie burger with a Diet Pepsi, but that's what I did. Got a few strange looks, but I didn't hear anything along the lines of "Damn Yankees" or "Left Coasters". Crew was a bunch of young women who were polite if not particularly memorable. The veggie burger: Meh, and the fries I can't remember at all, and it's but eight days later. The Huddle House: If you think America's restaurants are in danger of all being the same, try it out. Just don't expect it to be gourmet.
