I moved to Southern California 20 years ago, and when we left, this was my favorite course in the area that we lived in. Returning last week for the first time, it has only gotten better. The service was great, the starter was cool, the price was great and the course was in terrific condition. It will be a couple years until we are back, but we'll definitely play it again! read more

We're visiting from Texas and this course is FABULOUS! It's in great shape and priced right. The staff is exceptionally courteous and the Ranger, (Jim), is FANTASTIC ! Jim personally took the time to give my wife and I some pointers on the driving range, which will undoubtedly improve our scores. Definitely a must for golfers far and near! read more

changes to the course that are disappointing -no water to drink on the course -no Ranger on the course -no rakes in the traps -garbage and ball washers are ever third hole -poor to no yardage markers -crew is spraying and cutting on a Saturday morning slowing down the pace for the entire course . read more

Pretty fair course - in the middle of nowhere. Everything in decent shape. I can't blame the course for my off day of golf. Some of the greens proved very challenging. A few holes with water, some sand. All in all not too bad of a course! read more

The course is a little way past Howell, but was worth the drive. The staff was friendly and helpful. The course was in nice shape. The greens were particularly nice. And both sand traps I went into were in great shape with soft sand. The layout was challenging but fair. The pace of play was good, and they actually had a ranger out on the course (becoming a rarity these days). Just be sure to bring big spray. Out in the county with woods and ponds, you get bugs! read more

Pros: Outstanding layout (wide fairways, big greens, lots of elevated tees, etc.), super-nice family-run golf course, lots of parking and very affordable especially when using a Group Golfer certificate ($19). Cons: In the middle of nowhere and not walk-able under any circumstances. The Hot Blond Wife and I played a round yesterday and while quite soggy, the course was in good (not great) condition for mid-April. The folks working in the clubhouse could not be nicer and even though the pace of play was a little slow, it was a very enjoyable sub-4 hour round. The only problem is unless you live nearby, this place is really isolated and I just hope it's not a victim of golf's overall contraction. read more

The ranger was an absolute bother who constantly harassed me and made nosie while trying to hit my ball. The front desk staff was extremly rude and treated me like i wasnt a customer, but a bother. I believe they were racist, because i brought my mexican gardener and they wouldnt allow him to play golf because he had a tear drop tattoo under his eye. read more

Several problems with this place. First off way too far out of the way for anyone local in Howell, perfect for people who live in the sticks, but not for people living in town. Two, the owners are rude, I've played there several times, (not of my choosing) and they're attitude toward anyone who remotely looks young is terrible at best. (I'm 30 but was told I was a trouble making teenager) Not only are they rude on the phone and will tell you that you have to wait for them, but if you unsure of anything golf related they make you feel dumb and mock you for your lack of knowledge in the sport. The old woman and her husband (I'm assuming the owners) have a habit of searching you before you go out on the course, cart and bag, don't have anything remotely suspicious or they will refuse to let you play and will not give a refund. An otherwise nice course is ruined by these negatives. I DO NOT recommend this course to anyone and I personally refuse to golf there. read more
