The interior is bright, super clean and the aromas of baked goods and hot coffee are a wonderful greeting. I got the jalapeño-cheddar bagel, toasted. This sucker is HUGE! The texture is like a nice sourdough; spongy, chewy, amazingly good. The flavor is exceptional - made even better by the melted cheddar cheese and sliced jalapeños on top. It wasn't spicy, just great flavor. I totally forgot to use the cream cheese she gave me. It didn't need it. The staff is very friendly and courteous. Prices are ... okay. I want to go back and get half-dozen of those bagels to bring home, hoping they have a "bulk discount."

We wanted something other than good Mexican food, so we went out of our way a bit to try this place…read morein Soap Lake. We ordered two sandwiches and a carrot cake cupcake. The man who took our order said it would be about 25 minutes; it turned out to be closer to 40. Both of our sandwiches (Italian and turkey club) were delicious, mostly thanks to the outstanding focaccia. The sandwiches were served with chips. If there was some other option, it wasn't offered to us. The carrot cake cupcake was pretty good; the icing was better than the cake, which was on the dry side. The employees were interesting. They were overly friendly to the locals, and a bit cool and indifferent to everyone else. We had plenty of time to observe this pattern. Also, they all moved at the pace of a Siberian snail. But they do warn you about their lack of expediency both verbally, and by way of multiple signs that urge patrons to exercise patience. If I had to sum up the ambiance, I would say that it's eclectic, somewhat hippy-ish, and clean. If you have time in your hands, this is a good place to get a darn good sandwich!

I absolutely love the concept of Kitty Cantina--it's such a great way to combine a café with a cat adoption center. The food was incredible--seriously, a 10 out of 10--so I highly recommend visiting just for that. They also have a drive-through option where a lot of people bring furry friend to get a treat. The kittens do cost $200, which is good to know upfront. That said, the adoption process is very slow. Because it's off-season (winter) they have limited cats, and the website wasn't very functional. They open their books for a reservations the week of and they book up pretty fast. They do have walk-in visits Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays for around $5, it's four people at a time and it's first come first serve for those visits. Same-day adoptions aren't possible; you need an appointment. If you're looking to adopt quickly, I'd suggest trying somewhere else--like Petsmart, where we found a beautiful kitten and adopted the same day. The process was seamless and so easy. Still, I'll definitely be back for the food and to support them with donations--just be prepared for a longer adoption timeline.

The Garden is swiftly becoming the new pub (caffeine a gleeful swap for alcohol in this case) here in the southwestern Valley. My husband and I indulge in fresh coffee and tea drink flavors, healthy and filling breakfasts, and yummy desserts-- and every single time I see people I know and love just "bumping into" more regularly. The sweethearted staff always puts up with my need for extra help in ordering (I have a sugar allergy, which can make getting to try a seasonal drink tricky-- but they do their best to make it work for me!). The business supports an incredible cause, which also serves to strengthen and help our immediate community. There are only positive things to say, and I just want to end in gratitude for this heart-and-soul based spot. Long thrive the Garden!

There's nothing about this place that 'quick' but it's not slow either. You come here to have a meal and chat it up with others if you'd like. All were spot on and made me a happy man before heading back out on the cycle. Servers were friendly and knew all the locals by name. It's that kind of place. If passing through, it's worth the stop. Btw, I see one person didn't care for the coffee and gave them a poor rating. I thought the coffee was excellent enough to polish off a few mugs of it. For motorcyclists, the parking lot is mostly gravel with a small concrete pad directly in front of the store.
