This is an amazing phlebotomist. Rogelio was kind and sensitive to "sensitive needs" clients. He is easy to recommend. So thankful.

We needed to get a prescription refill so I tried Santa Clara Valley Medical Center Express Care…read more(Urgent Care) on the 2nd floor. I was welcomed to fill out a slip stating why we were there by Christian. He was very nice and compassionate to why we were there. He said he would have the nurse review our request. We waited a short time and then we were called in to be seen by Dr. Iliana Harrysson. She was absolutely fabulous. I felt like we were in good hands and we were being seen, heard and understood. She recommended we go to a clinic closer to our house next time. But, I would rather drive far to see her and be in good hands, then drive close and have a different Dr. Thank you Express Care for exceeding my expectations!

No nurse EVER came in to check up on us or say "the doctor is running late...." Perhaps if there was so communication, I wouldn't write such a horrible review, but this was just awful! After the doctor spent 2 minutes looks at my son's broken wrist, he said "looks like he healed fine...." Which his wrist was STILL SWOLLEN! We went to Stanford and his PCP there was PISSED! She said he needed to wear his wrist brace at LEAST 6-8 more weeks as she ordered 2 X rays and OT! This doctor dismissed my son since he's an older teenager and said he'd be fine..... ughhhh

I've been here a few times in the past with scheduled appointments and was always seen on time…read more Today, I came in as a walk-in, and Rosita (I hope I got her name right!) greeted me at the window. She helped me get checked in and was kind, patient, and friendly. I felt safe and welcomed, and her nice yet fun attitude brightened my mood, especially because I had been feeling particularly wary and anxious all day. I walked in expecting a busy, impatient, and stressed-out lobby. Surprisingly, there was only one other patient there, so I must've come in during a lull or something. The staff seemed welcoming and friendly, and they handled some sassy patients who came in after me really well. It takes a lot to maintain that kind of professionalism, especially when someone is giving you attitude and you're just trying your best to do your job. I know working at clinics like this can be difficult and stressful, so I have to give props to the people who choose to work in this field and help the community. As a walk-in, I knew the wait could be one hour or many hours. I knew that's what I was walking into, and I accepted it. If you don't want to wait, book an appointment in advance. After waiting about an hour in the lobby, another staff member called me over and said they were able to find a later appointment time for me if I wanted it. I assume someone had canceled and that I was the first walk-in at the time. I really appreciated that because I hadn't even asked, and I was fully prepared to wait another 3-4 hours if I had to. I appreciated their efforts to accommodate me and get me seen the same day. Although I wasn't able to get everything I wanted done, Rosita tried to find another same-day or next-day appointment for me at one of their other locations, which she really didn't have to do. I appreciated her going out of her way to help me. Overall, I had a positive experience. I know walk-ins can be unpredictable, and I went in fully expecting to wait, so I really appreciated how kind, patient, and accommodating everyone was. That's not to say it will be the same for everyone--I was just lucky. Please be aware that the wait may be several hours, and try to be patient with the staff. They're also human beings and are trying their best.

I agree that waits can be ridiculously long--can Kaiser hire more staff??…read more It comes across far less efficiently run than other hospitals. However, I feel that the staff are really caring people and are good at their jobs. It must be stressful otherwise work somewhere always understaffed. URGENT CARE: FIVE STARS I went to Urgent Care for a foot injury, and I wanted to give a shout out to Urgent Care at the Santa Clara facility. I was seen by Dr. Hamden Fayad, who, followed up after his shift had ended to give me x-ray test results. Tony (works in urgent care) is absolutely a treasure at this hospital. He wheeled me around and, again, went the extra mile, and made a bad evening okay with his friendliness and helpfulness. The receptionist was also friendly and helpful.

During my wait, I witnessed patients with serious injuries waiting in the waiting room, including people who were visibly bleeding. It was extremely concerning and upsetting to see patients in that condition waiting for such a long period of time without being treated. If the cameras are functioning, they should be able to show exactly how long patients have been sitting in the waiting room without being seen or receiving treatment. Six hours is an unacceptable amount of time to wait in an emergency room without even being evaluated. What is even more frustrating is the lack of communication and urgency from the staff. People have jobs, families, and responsibilities, and being forced to wait for hours can result in people missing work or being late to work. I genuinely believe the hospital should take responsibility for the impact this kind of excessive wait time has on patients. My experience with Kaiser in Santa Teresa has been completely different. Their patients are seen much faster, and the process of getting evaluated and treated is much more efficient. This experience has been extremely disappointing. Patients come to an emergency room because they need medical attention not because they want to spend six hours sitting in a waiting room wondering when someone will finally see them. I hope management reviews what happened that night, including the wait times, staffing, patient flow, and how long patients were left without evaluation.

Their team of young doctors are very well motivated and trying very hard to make sure patients are taken care of with utmost care, consideration and most importantly in a timely manner. Hats off on her management skills for such large mass vaccination events with limited manpower and that too off site... Daniella scored and taking every patient's need into consideration she won here big time especially during these stressful times. Seniors managing to come for vaccines who had not left their homes in months should not have to wait long in lines and it was all well managed by Daniella... I don't have enough words to compliment and pass the word out there of how great this place is and the staff is.....
