In 2015 I had my left knee replaced and it was a nightmare because the doctor in Los Gatos (will not mention the name) caused an infection and in the leg and many visits to correct the complications. Now I need my left knee replaced after exhausting all other remedies, injections, PRP, stem cells, steroids and meniscus repair, PT exercises but the last X-Ray showed bone on bone. My search started and after a few months found Dr. Sah and his team's reviews. Also a good friend had just had a partial knee replaced a few weeks ago with Dr. Sah and was totally impressed! I met Dr. Sah February 3, 2021 and a few members of his team and after seeing my current X-Rays (they did the X-Ray while I was there) and Dr. Sah explained his procedure, type of prosthesis he suggested and uses I felt I was in the right place. Dr, Sah expressed that he had an opening February 18th and could do the surgery then. I asked if I could confirm this date in the next day or 2 and he assured me that this would be OK. i again did more research and was convinced that he was the right surgeon for me. Well it is now March 7th, just a little over 2 weeks and i feel like a new man. The prep for surgery was at 4pm and I left the hospital at 9 pm. I watched the complete surgery on the monitor and talked to Dr. Sah, the PA and anesthesiologist through the 1 hour surgery and was totally impressed with how his whole team operates. Pre-op, op and post-op has been a wonderful experience and am so glad that I chose Dr. Sah his team for my second knee replacement. I have been seeing Dr Van Gompel for nearly 2 years now for an extremely rare injury that occurred after taking a medication, resulting in nerve damage. Dr van gompel took the time to thoroughly research my condition, order tests and refer me to the appropriate places to get the answers I needed. He seemed to be one of the few doctors that genuinely cared and wasn't going to just let me slip through the cracks. He was on point with his analysis of my condition and all the things that he suggested I do to get better when other doctors said there was nothing I could do. As a provider, I not only have complete confidence in his expertise and direction for my own treatment plan but the office I used to work for referred all our patients to Dr Van Gompel, wo any reservation. He is extremely knowledgeable (not just in podiatry!) and up to date with the latest research and techniques. I love how he will not just read a result from an imaging study but will open up the CD images and show you the images and explain what is going on. Even though he specializes in podiatry, I always feel like he treats the whole person and gives solid fact based recommendations that make sense whether it be in neurology or immunology or other. Dr. Motamed is professional, caring, and easy to talk to. When my 11 yr old son broke his arm, Dr. Motamed took care of him from beginning to the end. He reassured my husband & I that everything would be ok and simultaneously allowed my son to feel he was in trusted hands. Furthermore Dr. Motamed took the opportunity to explain the injury to my sons (because I have 3) and engaged them in the recovery process (which I loved, because for the most part they all wanted to help their brother heal quickly). As a side note, when my son was out of town visiting family and decided to go swimming and then submerge his cast underwater, my husband contacted Dr.Motamed. Dr. Motamed responded quickly to our concerns and reassured us that everything was going to be ok (luckily, my sister wrapped his arm in a plastic bag & his cast was not completely soaked but only a bit wet). My experience only: Scheduling appointments: 1) available for appointments weeks or a month out due to booked schedules, 2) receiving text messages of canceled doctor's appointment day before appointment (twice already), 3) on call for over 30- minutes before being connected to live agent to re-schedule! Office experience: 1) Front staff (unfamiliar with new system), 2) no patient's records, history from previous Mission Peak, 3) need Patient's to re-enter all information (insurance, meds, allergies).

The Therapists are great like Kevin, Sophia, and Jamie including the Aids but of course they can only provide treatment as they are ordered and approved. Despite proving clerical with the paperwork, they are still confused and erroneously provided the wrong information (ie. being treated for right hand not left to my surprise). This is failure to include patient in on their their own care planning and treatment...mine! This feedback was escalated because the person at the front desk was unable to provide rationale and an explanation. Hope this changes.
