Dr. Goldin does not deserve 5 stars - he deserves TEN stars! I was referred to him to diagnose and treat a lower back/hip injury from a fall. On our 1st visit, he did a cursory physical exam and then ordered 2 MRIs for me. The results came back and he took an extraordinary amount of time to thoroughly go over each and every view with me. I am so pleased with my experience at Washington Health Medical Group! Dr Goldin and his office staff are straight up, the best of the best! If you are seeking a very kind, thorough doctor with excellent listening skills, who tells it like it is, search no more! First, Dr. Goldin performed a very thorough exam, which had actually been skipped entirely by previous physicians. After the exam, he reviewed my radiology with me on a large screen to make viewing easy. Dr. Goldin explained his plan for my care in a way I could appreciate, even though I didn't get the answers I had hoped for. He stressed the limitations of recommended procedures, and answered my countless questions meaningfully, without rushing. This requires patience, understanding and communication that is not easy to find these days in the medical field. He also very kindly prioritized my ability to successfully complete physical therapy, by offering Home Health Care, since I am physically unable to drive right now. The support staff at Washington Health are also very professional and friendly! A very special thanks to Liz, who worked very hard to get me in with cancellations, following up with me regularly, to ensure that I was scheduled for the soonest appointment possible! I was referred to Dr. Goldin by my PCP (Primary Care Provider). I have an on going issue with my lower back, which was causing a lot of pain and discomfort. When I had my first appointment with Dr. Goldin, I addressed my problems to him. After meeting with him, he ordered an x-ray and MRI to be done on my back. After completing those two things, he found that I had a bulging disc in my lower back. I was given a few options and went with cortisone injections, since I did have them before. Surgery was an option, but I would only consider it if an extreme last resort situation was my very last option. A couple days before my procedure, I had to get tested for covid. Once cleared, I was ready to go through my procedure. On the day of my injections, Dr. Goldin explained his process and made sure I was comfortable and in good hands. After the procedure, I had a follow up appointment scheduled two weeks post injections. The pain my lower had greatly improved after the injections. During my post procedure appointment, Dr. Goldin gave me some post exercises and recommendations to hopefully prevent my back problems from reoccurring. I had better experience with him, rather than my experiences with a prior doctor. The staff at the office was great! I received great service from this office from the moment I walked in. First thing I noticed as soon as I walked in was how clean the office was. The furniture matches, no magazines scattered everywhere. First impressions are important and that's what I noticed. The front desk staff was friendly & attentive. I thought Dr. Goldin's Medical Assistant was very nice and thorough. As for Dr. Goldin, I thought he was great and very professional. He apologized for having kept me waiting which I didn't even notice, it was only a few minutes. I didn't wait long at all. I went in there because of back problems. He asked a lot of questions, we went over my history, did some mobility tests. I didn't feel that he was rushing (like some doctors I know), he took his time and in the end we decided to give physical therapy a try. I also liked how they gave me a printout of my visit with a summary of their evaluation and recommendations because I know I'm not going to remember everything that he told me. Worst experience with this place. Specially with front desk, they were not ready to hear my concern and not able to help at all. I was told wrong information for almost more than 3 weeks from different customer rep every time I called them and finally they said, doctor can't see me because I didn't provide proper information (simple to blame me). Dr Goldin and his staff are amazing. He is honest, up front with you, caring , thorough and truly compassionate. Dr Goldin has amazing skills, even knowing that I have an irrational fear of pre-op rooms. He talked me through every step of my procedures. I met Dr. Goldin 6 mos ago when, after a long search for the right doc, I sought help from the Bell Neuroscience Institute's Minimally Invasive Spine Program for a complex hip and spine problem. It was the best decision I ever made. Dr. Goldin and his entire staff are wonderful! The office reception and nursing staff are excellent - friendly, efficient, quick to return calls and follow-through on requests. I previously went through four different ortho/spine/physical medicine/rehab specialist teams where I just didn't see any improvement and didn't see that options for recovery were being explored. One of the past services didn't spell my name properly, even after I corrected them, and then took three weeks to figure out what drug that doctor had prescribed...all of which really concerned me. My problems progressed over two years and I was told by two of those past physicians to stop exercising. Suffice to say, I gained a bunch of weight and my mobility declined, then I developed totally debilitating sciatica. I'm extremely lucky that I found Dr. Goldin after all of this confusion because the pain had become unbearable and I had no idea where to turn next. Dr. Goldin performed a spinal injection of cortisone. First I have to say I was so impressed with my experience at Washington Township Outpatient- it was head and shoulders above any service I've been to. The staff were so concerned with my every need, and were so helpful, you could tell they all loved their work and care for their patients! Dr. Goldin explained everything about the procedure in detail before and during, and I felt ZERO pain. Dr. Goldin was adamant that I do the correct exercises to strengthen my back and abs, and he even provided them to me. Everytime I see him, he asks for details on every exercise I'm doing, literally asks me to demonstrate them; he listens carefully and offers advice. Dr. Goldin's focus on my habits and exercise have made me work a lot harder since he made it clear that what I'm doing plays a major role in my ability to move, (thus quality of life) and it worked. My sciatica has improved under Dr. Goldin's care, so we recently discussed options for my hip pain (osteoarthritis and labral tear overuse injuries). I wanted to try a cortisone injection in my hip but Dr. Goldin personally called me on my cell phone over the weekend to ask me to get an additional diagnostic test first that showed that it may be time to go directly for a hip replacement. In short, Dr. Goldin and his team are true professionals that care deeply and passionately about making a difference in their patients' lives. I've really improved already and feel confident (for the first time in over two years) that I'm going to be able to continue teaching fitness classes, which I've done for 30 years and would like to continue. I highly recommend Dr. Goldin if you have physical medicine issues or need rehab; I wouldn't go anywhere else. read more
