Absolute thieves! Do not set foot in this place. They completely misled us regarding our insurance coverage. We explicitly told them multiple times that we are on a high-deductible plan, meaning every cent comes out of our pocket until the deductible is met. Our plan has zero copay. We have coinsurance, but that doesn't kick in until much later. Since this was our first time using insurance for physical therapy, we made the mistake of trusting their "expertise." They charged us $150 for the initial session and $90 for each subsequent visit, labeling them as "COPAYS" and explicitly promising that this was all we would have to pay. Total lies. We checked our insurance portal today and found out that on top of the money they already took, they billed our insurance $278 for the first session and $177 for every session after. The Math of Their Deception: What they promised: $150 + (4 × $90) = $510 The actual bill: ($278 + $150) + 4 × ($90 + $177) = $1,496 They are absolute crooks who intentionally confuse clients with false information just to fill their schedule. They trap you into booking sessions under false pretenses and leave you to drown in the insurance mess they created. Avoid this place at all costs unless you enjoy being scammed. read more

First impression is that the quality of care seems to be fine, but the general management of the business, and particularly of patient experience, is poor. Lots of small things that are easy to fix but not attended to - wifi wasn't working (and the place is in a cellular desert), emails aren't answered, scheduling is hit-or-miss, etc. Given the other reviews here on Yelp it _appears_ that solving these things are not a priority to the owner. Still, will try another week and see if the actual PT care is good enough to tolerate the rest of it. read more

After undergoing total knee replacement surgery, I was looking for someplace to receive outpatient physical therapy, following my in-home PT treatment. A friend of mine was receiving treatment at Peak Performance for her foot injury and said they helped her regain strength and flexibility. After calling to book an appointment, I verified that they would accept my insurance. I met with Todd W., who is a certified PT and co-owner. We discussed a treatment plan that I was in full agreement on. Neeva and Katie are the two other certified PT's. They also have PT Aides who assist with my treatment to include explaining the variety of exercises and how to properly use the equipment, along with administering ice and electric stimulation treatment. I like that the staff are constantly encouraging me with my treatment, but do so in a very professional and patient manner. They appear to be fully invested in my rehabilitation. Working with Todd, Neeva and Katie has been critical in my recovery. I like that they push me with my treatment. As the saying goes "no pain.......no gain" and I'm a true believer in it. The PT Aides are also knowledgeable and a great help. They also really care about my well being and are always eager to answer any questions I may have about a certain exercise or how to properly use a piece of equipment. The PT Aides who I've worked with are Ryan, Mariel, Darani, Megan and Arjun. I haven't worked with Tammy yet, since she must work the days and times I'm not there. Booking appointments is easy, since it's usually with Monique, who is the Front Desk Manager. She's very helpful and friendly and always accommodates my appointments with my schedule. I like that they have taken precautions around Covid-19. They ask anyone entering their gym area to use the hand sanitizer in the lobby. Also, most staff and many patients wear masks. I like that they wipe-down their equipment after it's used. They also have a place for me to place my belongings, while I'm receiving treatment. This place is so unprofessional. Their website was outdated and difficult to navigate, so I had to leave a message. I stated that I wanted to verify my insurance coverage before making an appointment. When they called me back, they clearly didn't listen to my message at all. They had no idea why they were even calling me. The woman was so rude and acted like she was doing me a favor by answering the phone. Without even verifying my information, they said I would have to just pay upfront. I contacted a different place and they told me I actually have full coverage with no deductible by my insurance and only needed to pay copay. I came in with a bad shoulder. My MRI had shown some tearing and swelling. I had tried other physical therapy places with very little success. Pros: Analysis of my problem: Neeva took her time to understand the issues with my shoulder and put together a plan that would work for me. She was thorough and would make minor adjustments based on my progress over time. Staff: I can't say enough about the staff. They are amazing. From Emily and Monique upfront to all the assistants that work with you on every exercise to ensure you are positioned "properly". Besides that, they are very, very nice people. One thing that is important to me is they call you by name. It creates a more personal atmosphere (good employee training). Empathy: Neeva (and Todd) seem to really care that you are doing better. There is genuine concern about healing and moving forward with a healthier lifestyle. Even though Neeva was my primary PT, everyone helps. For example, Todd saw me standing and gave me some fantastic tips to help with my posture (ask about the downward V). It changed my life! Even my regular doctor mentioned how I stood and walked on my last visit. And remember, this isn't why I came to see Peak Performance. Cleanliness: They are constantly cleaning the equipment. They seem to have a process to ensure everything is sanitized before the next person uses it. Atmosphere: It's a casual environment that helps to bring down the stress of trying to rehab the body. Cons: There is really only one con I can think of. Well, it's that they fixed me! So I don't have to go back. When I started going to Peak Performance, I had so much shoulder pain I couldn't sleep. I had very little mobility, and it was all around bad. Well, here I am today. Able to do so much more and understand the simple exercises I can do every day to keep me healthy. Three months ago I could not pick up my coffee mug because I had so much pain from my tennis elbow. I genuinely thought my exercise days were behind me. I had three sessions with Peak Performance where they taught me various exercises that would help build up my strength and reduce pain. I kept it up. I'm 51 years old and this morning I benched press 200 pounds which I have not done since 2008. My favorite exercise is using the 4LB hammer that Thor- I mean Todd- recommended. I made an appt without a doctor's recommendation because I've been having ankle problems for years and I've tried many things to fix it and the next thing on the list was trying physical therapy. Service: A++ friendly and knowledgeable staff. Easy to make an appointment and communication is clear. From my 5+ sessions here, you can feel the good vibes from all the workers here and it's a positive place to be. My PT for my sessions was Alan Fong and he really takes care of you, listens to you and makes you feel safe --yet still pushes you to your limits. Truly talented and great at what he does! Price: Really depends on your insurance, but my sessions were $50 co-pay for each ~1.5 hr session. It's seriously top notch quality care here. They explain why they are doing things, an overview of each session, what to do between sessions and what we are going to work on next session. They have a clear and solid plan to put you on track to recovery! My 16 session journey at Peak Performance has been tremendous. I entered on day one with a shoulder injury. My mobility was awful. My right arm pretty much just wanted to stay by my side. So frustrating for this yoga lover! Today I completed my 16th session and I am able to hang while lifting my feet off the ground and I can also get my arm pretty far behind my back. I didn't have a great experience here at all. I had a few sessions here and my problem got much worse and I'm not really surprised. The place was really unprofessional. They were really late for the first session, I lost 30% of the time and they didn't make it up to me. They constantly send me emails and texts. During my actual sessions, I dealt with 4 different people in the span of an hour. Someone would assign me an exercise and then leave and then a different person would see me at the tail end of the exercise and point out that I was doing it wrong. So during one of my sessions, I did every exercise wrong and nobody was there to guide me and I only saw them do it once really quick so I guess not a surprise that I didn't do it completely right. I've had physical therapy at other places before and it saved me from a lot of pain and having surgery, this place made my pain worse. read more

In 2018 I dislocated my shoulder at Disneyland. Following healing or a least I thought I was healed because the pain was minimal, I went for a follow up with my doctor. He referred me out to PT. After searching high and low, I chose Peak Performance to do my PT. I met with the Owner; I can't remember his name, good guy, very friendly, and knowledgeable about his profession. He did my intake and paired me up with Alan. Alan is a PT master. He got me going in no time with the stretching of my arm and the medical massage. I am raising my arm like a kindergartner again! I loved having physical therapy at Peak Performance. The facility was clean and ran smoothly and on time. The only complaint I have is the towels were thread bare and dingy but clean. Replace your towels please!! The staff was most excellent. The number one star is ALEX BUTTARS, my Physical Therapist. She was thoughtful, smart, gentle and had a wonderful way about her. Encouraging me the entire time, although I was very frustrated, she was able to diagnosis my problem when the orthopedist could not (although she offered it as a suggestion). The orthopedist was unsure why I had my problem and did not seem overly concerned even when I could barely walk and my right leg swelling was 1-1.5 inches larger from my left leg. She devised an individual plan for me and changed it as my abilities got better. I feel better than anytime after my knee replacement from 2015. I'm so thankful I found her!! Other staff was most excellent from Caroline at the front desk and all of the PT Aides. Their names were WES (he really pushed me, which I needed), SHRUTI, IVY, ESI, MELANIE, DEANNA, and JASON. After going through the reviews of the different clinics that the VA recommended, I picked PPPT...what a mistake! After waiting for a week, I messaged the VA, to let them know I hadn't heard from them. So they told the VA that they tried calling, but that the VM was full and couldn't leave a message, Which is a F'ing Lie! Did they try calling again (like all business do), Nope! Peak Performance Physical Therapy was my first experience with physical therapy services and I could not be more pleased with the experience and results! Growing up and all the way till the end of high school I was an avid runner who would compete in cross country and track and field. However, once I got into my college years I seemed to be getting injury after injury, preventing me from running. I thought maybe my running days were behind me and I was only in my early to mid 20's. The last straw was a pretty painful case of runners knee. I decided to get a referral to PT and landed on PPPT. After a couple months of sessions (And actually doing my "HW" on days I didn't go in) I am back to running and increasing my mileage every week. I had hardly any hope in the beginning but as the weeks progressed I was amazed by my progress. The staff is super knowledgeable and was able to answer my every questions thoroughly. Even when your doctor tells you there's not much that can be done to help you, you can still count on Todd; Been here for two injuries that made me stop training, and every time, not only they fixed me, but also I never had injury in those areas again. The overall care from PPPT is unmatched to any other physical therapy office in Fremont. I was first evaluated by Dipali and I knew that this PT office would be a great fit. I've been going to Alan and occasionally Todd post ankle surgery. There was extensive work done on my ankle and I was down in the dumps since I was unable to workout and live my active lifestyle. I actually came to PPPT after being unhappy with my previous physical therapist. I didn't think they listened nor did they push me when it was appropriate. However, transferring to PPPT my care plan was always in tuned with how my body was feeling. That is something the therapists carefully monitor. This review is long overdue: I've been going to Peak Performance Physical Therapy for about 4-5 months now and couldnt be any happier with the service, knowledge, friendliness and overall care. I suffered from a severely herniated disc in my lower back and was going to another physical therapist in the area with limited to no improvement; however after the first session with Peak Performance I already started feeling better. Thanks to Todd and his team I (thus far) avoided the clutches of surgery and am pain free. Todd (and his wife Neeva) are the owners of Peak Performance and Todd is the one I went to for care. Both of them are amazing in their knowledge and genuine care for their patients. The same goes to the others on the Team (I worked with Jerome and Katie first and they were incredible as well). Not only do they make you feel at ease but genuinely go "over and beyond" for their patients. From the office manager to the aides and therapist everyone is super friendly and work hard to relief any issues or pain you may be in. Best physical therapy establishment I've every been to. I received truly excellent physical therapy from PPPT. The therapists are knowledgeable, skillful, experienced and encouraging. Their assistants are well trained and attentive. At no time was I left to just stand around, as I have at other offices, wondering what I should be doing. The front staff is accommodating, knowledgeable about insurance administration and pleasant. There was never any obstacle to scheduling/rescheduling an appointment nor was there any billing confusion. The mood of the office is upbeat and professional. As an aside, the music is wonderful!
