They stayed in cabins on the property. Getting there requires some patience. From the street, you turn into a dirt road that seems to go on forever until you see the lake. The ceremony was on the "wedding island", the reception in the lodge and the dancing under the pavilion. The Southern food served in the lodge was good and the cakes were dynamite. There's servers were attentive. Despite having to travel an entire day to get here, I was very blessed to be at Beaver Creek Plantation.

When we did our site visit, it was exactly what we had envisioned and more. The space is beautifully decorated inside a historic Savannah building and offers thoughtful features like a Frame TV for slides or welcome messages, private restrooms, a private bar, and the ability to play your own music (which is rare for a small venue and comes without extra charges). Leah was wonderful to work with throughout the entire process. She responded to our initial inquiry almost immediately, something that really stood out since many other venues took days or even weeks to reply. From the first email to the site visit and all the communication leading up to the event, she was incredibly helpful and reassuring. As someone who works in hospitality and tends to be a bit of a "controller," it meant a lot to feel confident that everything was in good hands. On the day of our celebration, everything was beyond what we imagined. The space looked beautiful, and we were greeted so warmly. Sammy, our server, was attentive and fun, and the bartender was fantastic as well. And the food... absolutely incredible. Every dish exceeded expectations. Our guests are still talking about it weeks later. The oysters were incredibly fresh, the steak was outstanding, and the fried cornbread, fish dip, and cheesecake were unforgettable. A huge thank you to the Executive Chef (who even came out to greet us) and the entire kitchen team. Every member of the team made us feel cared for and ensured we had everything we needed. They truly embody the meaning of Southern hospitality. Thank you all for making our day so special. You want fresh local oysters on the half shelf pulled from the water only hours ago, well they got you right in house with them lying on ice and a professional shucker right there to serve you with a beautiful smile. Definitely was reminded why I avoid hotels after staying a night at this hotel. I just came from a…read more10+ hour flight, just found out my dog is very sick & dying coming back from vacation. I needed a place to stay for one night & regret choosing this hotel in Hinesville. I checked in later in the evening as I was unable to do early check in. The room itself was great but you literally can hear the people across the hall talking as the hotel door doesn't completely close & has a huge gap where you can see the hall from the inside of your room. You can literally slip something in between the door. The hotel room wasn't quite clean as you would expect. The room did look cleaned but there was pieces of hair on the bathroom sink as well as in the shower. Which was so disgusting to see as a paying guest. What made my experience so uncomfortable is waking up to the housekeeping knocking so loudly & trying to come into my room around 9am as I already had trouble sleeping & was so uncomfortable as it is. Luckily I put the door lock so they werent able to get in. If I known there were going to literally come into my room, when i just checked in late that evening, I would've instantly put the do not disturb sign on the door. But didn't expect them to try to come into my room. On top of that, I was trying to go back to sleep from the long flight & the situation w/ my dog. All I could hear is what sounded like the hotel door banging back & forth on the door latch from house keeping! I've never in my life stayed at a hotel & experienced such inconsideration for their guests still asleep! Would NEVER stay at this hotel ever again. This was by far the worst & most uncomfortable experience staying a at hotel. I hope housekeeping reads this & be more courtesy, considerate & respectful for their guests! You dont know what guests are going through...& to make it a very bad experience is the total opposite of hotel experiences are suppose to be!

They have a great gym!!! 5. They have a beautiful pool with plenty of lounge area. 6. Breakfast is AMAZING! Mrs. Alfredia takes excellent care of the entire breakfast area! She even writes inspirational words on the bananas! She stands there making sure everyone has what they need and rushes to help families and professionals manage their meals so things don't get dropped! Customer Service is in her DNA! 7. The front desk ladies are nothing short of kind and helpful! I am sure they would have had the moon AND stars delivered to my room if they could! You work your way around the wild life ground ,tables and chairs are tastefully decorated in the center of the grounds and you are given regular sized plastic dinner plates and then you just select what you want. Some business give you a healthy portion and some try to measure out theirs. All in all it's a great event which starts at 6:00pm-8:00pm. By 7:15 I had my fill of wine and food. Unfortunately I won't be here for the food truck extravaganza Saturday where over 50 food trucks will be participating in this awesome event.

The front desk claimed I only paid for one night, even though my bank showed a $528 charge and the Hilton Honors app showed both nights. I had to stand there proving the charges while my special-needs son was upstairs alone. The manager admitted it was their mistake and promised a $267 refund. It's now March 10, my stay cleared March 6, and I still have not received the refund. I even have a letter confirming it. Very frustrating experience. Double-check your charges if you stay here.
