Oh, man. My second KFC review. Not cool, Naomi. But more about KFC…read more I've been to this one a few times over the last couple of years. It's fine. I don't recall them ever stuffing up my order. They are a bit slow, which is annoying in a fast food joint. This store doesn't seem that new either, everything is getting a little dated. If you really need to get food here I'd suggest take away. Go and eat your food on the lovely Bulcock beach.

But I'll have you know that this is the one I choose to go to over all the other ones, and that makes it super special. I go there for the playground. It's not only a McDonald's play area, it's under shade. Now for all you mums out there looking for a place to dump your 2-5 year old kiddies, this is the place. I know it doesn't sound like that big a deal, but it is! Do you know how many mums out there wish there was a place like McDonalds with a play area under shade? While they can talk, eat, be merry. There are millions. And that, my friend, is why this McDonalds is super special. You can lock those smelly little suckers up and they can't go anywhere while you have a chat with your friend, lover, some stranger... it's fantastic. You can finally grab those really precious few minutes if not more (there is rubber matting, it will reduce the time the child falls to when you actually have to get up and see to that they are okay because the rubber matting, sponges their fall mmm hmmm you see?)... and for free. FREE. Cheap food, no entry fee and free enclosed play area... these words are like music to a tired, restless, about to lose it mothers' ears. It sounds very hard to believe I know... shouldn't all play areas for McDonalds be under cover? The answer is NO people.... the answer is no. This one even has a McCafe and is now a 24 hour establishment... even better! I have driven around Centenary looking, the Hungry Jacks has a playground so under the sun the paint has started stripping and the metal has started looking very grimy. The KFC doesn't have one, the other ones are in a shopping centre... just trust me on this one. Take a breather, I never thought I'd say this, but go check this quinkydink out.

The lovely ladies working the counter are making GREAT fish and chips with a smile and service. If you ask for your chips well done they come golden and crispy (none of those limp pale things I complain about at other locations). They are busy and there is a good reason for it. With fresh fish and good product this is the place to come for your fish and chips in the Everton Hills/McDowell area. We haven't tried them but there is also burgers on the menu. Call ahead if you can as orders placed in person do take up to 1/2 hour when they're busy. Note they close strictly at 7.30 so often stop answering the phone at 7ish if they have a lot of orders. Now it's set a standard for fish and chips so high that it might never be lived up to. The prices are reasonable for the quantity of food you get. And then beer battered chips which were super yummy too. The servings were super generous and the food was fantastic! The food was so good and so perfectly cooked that it makes me scared to go to other places in the future - which is inevitable as we're not from here... Just go here when you're in the area. The staff are super friendly too and very honest and generous. I seriously couldn't be happier and I'm a fuss pot when it comes to fish and chips (or food in general).

At the conclusion of the meal I had come to the conclusion that this Chinese restaurant offers the best example of Chinese cuisine on the East coast of Australia. It started with the dim sims. There was nothing exceptional in their appearance, and, perhaps they were even a little small. But they tasted absolutely delicious. It was the same as the main course. I had a beautiful beef and black bean sauce shandy. Steamed rice. Fried rice. And I sampled some of my friends' meals. They were all amazing. I will definitely be going back.
