Great and prompt service, yummi pizza. I ordered a large two-topping pizza, 2x pepperoni, they did not disappoint. You couldn't even see the cheese underneath all the pepperoni. Loved the crust (thin). This is my first time trying their pizza and for sure it won't be the last! Delivery time was just as expected. Overall, two thumbs up! read more

Just ordered a deluxe 10 inch pizza sub and stuffed bread sticks. Was the grossest food I have eaten in a while. Undercooked un melted cheese in both. Raw dough and tasted greasy. Driver said one person was working. Might explain subpar food. Have had this in the past this was bad. read more

First time trying this place. I would compare it to lil Caesars, didn't like the bread, it got hard quick and had cardboard texture. Order was missing our dipping sauces. We also ordered the garlic cheese bread and that was a little better than the pizza. I don't think I'd order from this place again. read more

I was too lazy to cook and wanted pizza. Didn't want to go far and didn't want to pay too much either. I saw an ad on Instagram for Hungry Howie's and they have a 50% off promotion going on. So, Hungry Howie's for the win. My first time trying their pizza and I ordered the works pizza because I like everything on my pizza but I'm mad at myself because I meant to get thin crust but didn't. I don't know why. Brain fart I guess. I prefer thin crust pizza. Not a fan of thick crust pizza. For me the pizza isn't bad, it's ok but I think it's too doughy and I feel like I would've liked it better had I got thin crust. Oh well! You do get to pick a flavor for your crust which is nice. I got garlic herb which I couldn't really taste. It's not the best pizza but it's not the worst either. I put it up there with the Little Caesars kind of pizza. It's good in a pinch and budget friendly. I ordered online to pickup and when I got there the staff was friendly and my order was ready to go. Hey, for half price it was good enough. Would I go again? If there was another promotion, maybe. It wouldn't be my go to for pizza or my first choice but if I had a deal and don't want to spend too much then I'd probably go again. read more

I ordered 2 pizzas.. 1 came out fine.. the other was messed up. I ordered a large with green peppers red onions and DOUBLE steak. They got the veggies okay but ONLY PUT STEAK ON HALF THE PIZZA!! How hard is it to read? What makes me so upset is that they charge $3.98 for steak and nearly $8 for double.. I paid nearly $8 and what I got was half of the pizza with a normal amount of steak.. so I should have only been charged what.. 1.99? Ridiculous! read more

Just picked up my order and very unhappy with my order. I ordered their $5.00 pizza it's a small 2 topping pizza. I ordered extra cheese , pepperoni with ranch crust. I open the box to look at it only to find out it has very little pepperoni that only surrounded the crust, none in the middle (I always get it this way and it is covered with a generous amt of topping). I talk to the girl behind the counter and express my feelings on it. She says sorry but that's how we make it unless you ask for double. I tell her that I've never had this issue before and if I had known that I wouldn't have come here in the first place. My second pizza was fine and the wings were as well. Not in any rush to ever go back again read more

the service is always wonderful but i do have one complaint there is a young man who has curly hair with blonde streaks possibly highlights while he is nice .... i have noticed a semi foul odor when he helps me possible BO i feel here is the best place to leave this information due to the simple fact hygiene and good hygiene at best is required for food service employees and honestly employees every where maybe something for management to bring to this young man's attention!!!! read more

Not sure what the disconnect is between the ordering call center and this location but it was a terrible experience. Ordered pickup on the phone and was told 20 minutes. Came 40 minutes later and they said they haven't even started and that they were hours behind on pizza orders. Cashier instantly asked if I wanted a refund as a first option. First off, I didn't drive out of my way just for a refund. I wanted pizza. There were a ton of irritated waiting customers inside. Some just yelled "I'd like a refund." At that point, I just said to cancel, I haven't paid and left. The employee seemed lost and just didn't know how to handle the situation. This location clearly needs some work and is poorly run. Send help and training. And figure out how to get the call center and location on the same page. Ended up going to another location. read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would. We order pizza to an apartment ACROSS the street. We waited over an hour and finally called. They "claimed" they knocked but we have been home sitting in the living room which is literally the other side of the door and there was no knock. The said they called but we never got a call and when we called to check the status of our pizza because the tracking number said it was "on its way" they said he already tried but that's not true and they didn't even pretend to apologize for the inconvenience or lack of pizza. This is unacceptable and honestly down right disrespectful. read more

Very Tasty inexpensive pizza. The stuffed crust is awesome, along with the flavored crust. For the league it's in, Dominos, Papa John's, Pizza Hut etc. Hungry Howies tastes the best in my opinion. They also make their own crust in house. read more

My last visit Placed a "to go" order 3 small pizzas, 2 with pepperoni and 1 with pepperoni and sausage, all with Asiago flavored crust. I walked in to Hungry Howies to pick up my order and the restaurant was empty. However, it still took over 5 minutes for an employee to acknowledge I was there and to get my order. The pizza honestly was one of the worst take-out pizzas I have ever had from Hungry Howies and the order wasn't even correct. I wish I would have looked at my order prior to leaving the store. I called Hungry Howies to let them know that not only was the pizza not very good but my order wasn't correct. The associate who answered the phone response was "Sorry bout that, not sure who cooked it. I guess we can cook another". After waiting another 20 minutes to cook another pizza I head back up to Hungry Howies and yes, once again my order wasn't correct (wrong flavor crust). Since I wasn't willing to wait another 20 minutes I took the pizza and headed home. My previous experiences with Hungry Howies has always been hit or miss. I think I will drive a little further to one of the many other pizza places in my area. read more

The pizza has a great flavor, but there isn't much pizza stuff. The crust was about 2 in then the pizza toppings started But never the less taste good. The young man that took my order at the register somewhere along the line lost his personality. He really acted like I was bothering him from the very beginning. And, don't even ask question about anything because it might just get him more bothered then you coming in to begin with. The black gentlemen making my pizza was perfect when he brought it out to me. I will order again but 1 staff personality got It only a 3 instead of a 4. read more

This place is honestly just ok. We got delivery and although the delivery was quick and the food was hot, I just dont know if we would do it again. The 3 cheese bread was overcooked and so salty I couldnt get through more than a couple bites. The sauce that came with was bland and unimpressive. The pizza was just...ok. It was a decent price, but it's nothing I would request. I'm the type of person that believes if a delivery or restaurant pizza is just ok I may as well save my money and make a frozen pizza. This was one of those places that I would save my 20 bucks and just make a pizza at home. For something quick and at least reasonable, I suppose this could be a choice. If you want actual good pizza, skip this place altogether. read more

In the morning, I received a mailer for a free medium 1-topping pizza. It was fate because at the end of my workday, the last thing on my mind was cooking dinner for my family (sorry family!)... Sorry not sorry cause Hungry Howie's came through! It was super convenient cause as I was about to leave work to pick up the kiddos from daycare, I easily registered on the site and placed my order. Used the free pizza coupon and BAM! Received an e-mail saying they got my order in and it would be ready in 20 minutes! Picked up my order (which was reasonably priced!) and paid in cash. The pizza tasted good, kids and hubby were stuffed and we lived happily ever after... the end! read more

The pizza is very good for takeout or delivery. I actually like it quite a bit. The low rating is due to the fact that every single time I order, my pizza is significantly undercooked to the point of being doughy. I tried to solve the problem by ordering it well done. But despite asking for well done, they never actually do it. So you have to ask for it to be thrown back in the oven, at which time there's about a 50% chance that the employee at the counter will have an attitude about it, even though you're just politely asking for your pizza to be cooked all the way. Summary: Good food when the rude employees cook it all the way. read more

I am so livid!! I am a faithful customer to Hungry Howies, tonight I ordered online $40 in pizza, not only was pizza 2 hours late, but I called after 90 min (pizza promised in 1 hour) and asked where pizza was and they said on its way... the person who answered phone asked if I wanted left on porch and I specifically told her and noted on the online order NOT to leave on porch... we just had a severe rainstorm and had leaves, ants and pigeon crap that was accumulated there. They delivered it on porch, didn't ring doorbell. We had went to go check and saw pizzas left there and when we got the box open the pizzas were infested with ants. I called the store and person who answered phone said to call tomorrow to speak to manager, I demanded my order refunded, but we will see if that actually happens.... the ordeal was ridiculous and they definitely lost a loyal customer.... BROTHERS PIZZA NEVER DISAPPOINTS, so that's where we will be getting all future pizzas even if farther away and a few dollars more. read more

We ordered pizza for delivery to the Wigwam Resort when the delivery driver got there he blew me up yelled at me that he called several times. We are part of a huge event and I had people coming in & out. The pizza was for the kids. Our valet guy gave him a ride to our room and he didn't have change and he was rude about the tip when he didn't have change so my valet guy Emilio took a $20 to get change and I gave him a better tip which he didn't deserve for what he said, to be exact he said you gave me a lousy tip $2.50? I'm like you don't have change! He knew we were paying cash and I was quoted a different amount from the restaurant so? I'm disappointed with his attitude about the whole situation and how it was handled. I tried calling the restaurant to speak with the manager who was very helpful with my phone order but waiting on the phone for an hour and 20 min I'm still waiting this is ridiculous read more

I have been to other hungry howie's locations and they have been excellent. I spend almost 100.00 on 4 pizza, 2 breadsticks and 2 orders of boneless wings. I also added Cajun and Garlic herbs crust. The pizza I order that it was supposed to be a veggie pizza without onions, tomatoes but everything else was really poor in the toppings. Also the 4 meats pizza I got was really poor in the toppings and the pineapple pizza was poor with the toppings too. The pepperoni with jalapeños and the 3 cheese pizza was excellent with the flavor and toppings. The wings were great too and the breadsticks too. They also forgot to put the crust flavor on the pizza's. read more

Meh. I mean it's not terrible. Prices are ok. Service is ok. Pizza is ok (pretty greasy though). I did like the option of the different flavored crusts. We went with the garlic herb. It was ok. OUT OF BUSINESS...Even less pizza options in the far west valley (west of the Agua Fria River)...so angry. I always enjoyed Hungry Howie's, and now the closest one is about 13 miles away at 107th Ave & Lower Buckeye. I will say the last time I was at this location in April, they gave me a hassle for using a birthday coupon that said Tempe on it. They scolded me saying that I needed to go online and change it to their location, but they will accept it this one time. Even though, I didn't appreciate how they acted; I still didn't want them to go out of business! read more

Ordered over the phone for 12 pizzas, they where done on time and the person on the phone was very nice!!!

Great pizza, try the deep dish with onion crust (delicious!) Sandwiches are alright, salads are gigantic, wings are decent as well. Delivery comes fast, these guys don't mess around. I would've given 5 stars, but there's been a few order flubs in the past - if you're ordering delivery, please ensure they read the order back to you before placing it. Today was the first time our family tried this pizza place. Poor customer service skills. Couldn't take my order over the phone right the 1st time. Sent my son to pickup dinner. They forgot some items. Deep dish pizza was burnt around the edges. I called in and acting supervisor wasn't of any help his name was Kyle. No apologies what so ever. I really rate this place no stars. :( Today we re-visited and our order process was excellent. When we picked up our pizza was hot and ready! Thank you!! First time visiting Hungry Howie's and it was a great experience. The customer service here is great. My family and I came in to order 6 pizzas for a party we were attending. The system at Hungry Howie's seemed to be having some issues and unfortunately the card payment wasn't going through. After a couple attempts the manger assisted and we were able to get it done. He even offered a discount to accommodate us for system processing time. The willingness to accommodate was such a kind gesture and exceeded our expectations. The pizza was a hit at the party as well. Decent prices. Will be coming back. read more
