    Potato Salad

The name the place attracted us and it's right off of I-80 and sits along the Mississippi River. The chicken noodle soup is mediocre. The potato salad could use some eggs, onion and cheese. The waffle fries could have been cooked a bit longer and added some seasoning. Hubs had a sirloin sandwich with onions and said it was very good. He got his grilled sandwich and I had to wait for my cold sandwich and cheddar fries, which were waffle fries with dipping "cheese". It was more like nacho cheese and I was not a fan. It was a so-so experience

I wanted to stop and get a bite to eat on the way back to Des Moines a little while ago. The location was great, take a look at the view in the picture! It's located right next to the Mississippi. As for the sandwich, the bread is very soft and delicious. The rest of the sandwich is your run-of-the-mill meat and cheese but when you partner that bread with the view, you can't fail!

Fountain drink, potato salad, 12inch sun and chips about $18.48

I got snowed it at a nearby hotel and decided to step over to this sandwich shop next door. The walk was less than 3 minutes. Once inside, the shop looked and smelled clean. Quintin and the girls on the line who took my order had a polite demeanor and my simple veggie but huge sandwich was delicious and fast to make. The bread fresh. Delicious potato salad and refillable fountain drink. The customers after me got a sample of soup they were trying out before having to purchase it as a whole. I'd say that's great customer service. Thank you Hungry Hobo. (P.s check out their cute wallpaper)

Service was quick and the menu had tasty options from deli sandwiches to loaded baked potatoes. Side options are chips, cakes, huge cookies, soups, cheese curds and waffle fries. I enjoyed my Philly Cheesesteak sandwich while the rest of my family had a Turkey/Ham sandwich and a Ham/Salami Sandwich. The sandwiches were fresh and the bread was soft and pillowy. We will be back to try the other sandwiches and sides.

I went here because it was a chain I never heard of since I have only lived on the East and West coast and traveling through the Mid-west I thought I would check it out. Think of this like a sandwich shop that uses better tasting ingredients than Subway but isn't as good as a Fire House Subs or other popular trendy submarine sandwich shops. This is more like a Subway/Arby's upgrade that is mediocre at best. Wife and I stopped by and the parking lot was huge and I didn't realize it until we left, but really empty. As we entered, the place was a ghost town. I did not really care since I was starving the wife and I ordered. I got the king size Roast Beef and cheddar with waffle fries, double meat on the sandwich. The wife ordered a loaded back potato. The damage for the meal wasn't bad but I figured for the cost the sandwich would be pretty good... The sandwich was huge but underwhelming on taste. There was a lot of roast beef and cheese but with no sauce or anything, I was wishing I went to Arby's instead for a Beef and Cheddar. The fries were good but I wouldn't really call them better than Arby's curly fries. Since I paid twice as much as I would as Arby's, I was left a little underwhelmed. The wife's potato was good but I have seen better potatoes from Wendy's... Hungry Hobo, nice try at making a better sandwich, but based on the ghost town I visited, you have the location set up down, tons of tables and wide open spaces and large parking lot. Now you need to make a sandwich people actually want to eat...

    Great view of the river

Best place to eat in town!!! I drive from Albany. Most of the time it's not too busy and the…read moreservice is great. Chef cooks with heart. During dinner rush there can be an 1hr wait for take away. Order ahead. I always get Tom Yum Soup with chicken, steamed rice, and Thai ice tea with boba to go. 10/10 keep this place open!!!

I will start by saying that the food was beyond exceptional. Just so good. If you're ordering take…read moreout I would highly recommend doing so. As far as the dining room, it's quite tiny. It's nicely decorated and comfortable. We were greeted and told to sit anywhere. We chose the last available booth and placed our order. After the server left we noticed that the table needed to be wiped. We didn't see the server again until our food was ready, so she's probably working in the kitchen as well as tables. When our food came we asked for the table to be wiped and she did. The appetizers came without plates for us but no big deal. We were splitting an entree. We then asked for plates and forks when the entree arrived, which she provided, but no napkins, which my husband went and grabbed. Our shrimp entree was spicy and still flavorful, everything I love about good Thai food. My point is that this place with really really good food is only marginal as far as the table service goes. In spite of the issues with service I'm giving them all the stars because the food was so good. Try them!
