You can taste the love for food in Hungry Hippie Tacos! I ordered the Idaho Love taco, which is garlic roasted potatoes, corn, rancher beans, and kale chimichurri. My husband ordered the Blueberry Fields taco, which is house smoked pork, blueberry bbq sauce, hippie slaw, avocado ranch, and jalapeños, and we shared the sriracha maple cheese curds. The portions are humongous and their tacos are delicious. I love the puffy homemade taco shells. The cheese curds are just ok. Service was friendly. You just order at the restaurant and seat yourself. The ambiance is casual, and there is plenty of seating indoors and outside. Definitely recommend. read more

The absolute best tacos and experience ever. Love this place, Thank you Kate, Jeremy and Casey.

Food was pretty bland and the customer service was lacking in authenticity. I'm a Minnesota boy by birth and upbringing, I'd strongly suggest hiring Latino folk to add some soul to the food. read more

Excellent food. The Idaho Love taco was the best. It is such a rare pleasure when a restaurant cares enough to create a vegetarian option that shows they care. Huzzah! read more

Visited on a Friday for a fun cribbage night. Chips, salsa and service were fine, but we ordered the hippie cowboy and it was honestly one of the best tacos that I've ever had in my life. Very unique tortilla! read more

Guys. Congratulate me, cause im going to be a father. Have have hippie tacos before. They're always decent. Tried a burrito this time. Holy smokes great flavor generous portion and packed with protein. Woah boy i am full! Had smoked pork burito with corn salsa and chipotle sour cream. Spouse had brisket tacos. Was very satisfied with price and flavor of both and it's something unique/different than other places. Really appreciate the meal, will be back. read more

Visited 5/11/24. Giving this place a very strong 4/5. Super cute spot in west Duluth that is fairly new to the Duluth food scene. My friends recommended it and I'm glad that they did. They have nice indoor and outdoor seating available and a solid menu that has a good combo of mainstays and specials. The majority of us got the pineapple taco special with the fry bread as our shell. I would definitely recommend getting your taco in the fry bread option, as it worked perfectly with the flavors of the taco. It's pretty large too, which also is nice! A little bit on the pricier side despite being a larger dish when comparing to other local taco places (especially compared to taco places in the cities), but I liked the fry bread spin on things. Overall, a really cute place that made for a good spot to catch up with friends and snack. read more

Hungry Hippie Tacos - Pineapple taco special-delish, would be great on their regular menu - Tacos Near Me - Duluth, Minnesota

My husband and I stopped here to get away from the tourist lunch rush, and we made it just in time! Unique menu items--not your typical taco place--but there's also a "build-your-own" option for less adventurous eaters. I got the Space Rancher without bacon, and we shared some spicy cheese curds. Everything was excellent, and I love the "northern spirit" fused with southern chipotle flavors. Great seating options inside and outside. We got our food fairly quickly, but we also arrived right before a huge line formed. read more

Swung by for a quick lunch and really enjoyed the atmosphere and the food. I was glad we got there when we did, after we ordered there was a line out the door!! The person taking orders was nice and the food came out pretty quickly. I got taco with the applewood pork on a corn tortilla. It was a little messy, but the flavor to the meat was great and there was a kick to it with the chipotle sour cream. The group I was with all enjoyed everything they got. I also tried a bite of the blueberry fields forever and thought the blueberry BBQ sauce had great flavor. They had a lot of hot sauces to choose from if you wanted to add more. The outdoor seating was nice and had both a rock are and a deck area. read more

I got a beef brisket taco- it tasted delicious!!very flavorful. I should have gotten two. The salsa with the chips wasn't great didn't taste very fresh and reminded me of jarred Tostitos brand. My friends enjoyed their tacos as well. The inside is small but there is a good amount of outside seating. read more

I paid a BUNCH of $$$ for an Air B&B nearby. I have no idea why, I'm an idiot I suppose. That aside, there's NOT much down here in the way of restaurants - the revitalization is progressing (shops, lodging etc.). Great tacos, tasty & fast service with solid beers on tap. ZERO COMPLAINTS - if the BBQ place up the street can't handle a crowd, these guys CAN! I ordered the pork taco - one is all you need. Well, two if you're REALLY hungry. Not expensive at all and the ambiance is solid. Enjoy ! read more

My fiancé had the hippie cowboy, and I had the space rancher. We got them both on fry bread- so so good! We had never been there before and the cashier was happy to answer all our questions! We had our dog on the outside patio, and he brought us a fresh water bowl for her without us asking! So thoughtful! The place was super clean, inside and outside! We will definitely be stopping by the next time we're in town read more

They charged us $15 for quesadillas we didn't order and didn't receive. I didn't notice it until I checked my receipt later, but I would definitely be careful in checking your order at this place. read more

Everywhere was super busy last Saturday night and we stumbled upon this place, super cute, super clean, friendly staff and delicious food! I tried the apple smoked pork burrito and it was HUGE. So much food for the value you pay here. Also tried the frybread tacos and those were big too. Loved the tots. Definitely stop in on your next trip to Duluth! read more

Really good fast casual tacos. Everyone was happy. I had delicious Korean bbq fry bread tacos.

Some of the better tacos I've had in a long time. The fried bread was delicious and quite filling. The choice of toppings is decent, and I was impressed with the quality of the meats. I highly recommend pulled pork tacos. The chicken meat was dry and lacked any flavor. Overall, I recommend the place. The service was great, and the staff was friendly and helpful read more

Hungry hippie tacos is a very quaint place with great food and atmosphere. The place is small, but still could hold our party of 8. I got the loaded totchos which were incredible. Only $13 for a heap of totchos is worth it every time. If you're in the area, stop by this place read more

This food was nothing short of pathetic. Chipotle has horrible portions and yet they manage to get a serving size to price infinitely better than this. On top of that, the food is mediocre at best. I have made better and I'm not paid to cook. It seems as if they bought the packets of seasoning from a local grocery store. Salt pepper and garlic would do wonders compared to this. If I were to return to this restaurant it would be with a gun to my head. I do not wish this abysmal waste of money and time to befall upon anyone else. If I pay $14 for a bowl I expect a bowl, not a pathetic excuse of a tray filled. And 5$ extra for chips??? I could pay that to make my own chips that would taste better than any of this. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else. read more

Been wanting to check this place out for awhile, so my daughter and I had a little lunch last week. We each got a taco, her the ground beef and me the applewood pork. The flavor was delicious! Like REALLY good. I asked for everything on it, and it was about the same size as my daughter's with only lettuce and sour cream. For two tacos it was $22, which I think is a little steep, as no chips or anything come with it and both tacos fit in one of those paper boats. That would have been nice. That's really my only complaint. Serve those with some chips and a ramekin of salsa, and I'll be back in a flash. read more

My frybread taco, brisket, was amazing! Very delicious. The flavors meld very well together and the frybread was perfectly crispy but not burnt. Definitely fresh fresh fresh! I ordered the hot curds too, couldn't help myself. They tasted pretty good but they were COLD. Most expensive item I order, COLD. Would be 5 stars. But... cold cheese curds!? Come on. read more

We usually love this place and include a generous tip when we can afford. However, we had visited 7/19 around 2pm and a younger girl was working the register, with an absolute attitude may I add, so we don't tip, we also order a glass bottle coke with our to-go order and she doesn't ask if we want it opened, just opens it and walks away, he had wanted to open it when we got home. We get our food (at a great speed as always) and another girl throws our food down and unwillingly pinged our pager. It was a quiet Friday, I don't know what was going on with either girl, but it's not so serious you need to make other people feel bad For you. read more

We tried this place tonight heard it was good, but it wasn't really good. The fry bread was over cooked and hard and the smoked beef was horrible, and the portions were small. Went Sat 3/11/23 at 12:30 for lunch. One woman working the cash register as we walked up she was in the phone and didn't even look up to acknowledge us. On this one call she took probably 15 different orders and continued to not look up. After 10 min or so another cashier came up and got my order wrong. At this point the line is out the door so I had to wai back in line to get my missing fry bread taco. Food was horrible. Very dry fry bread and the spiced ground beef was also too dry and had huge clumps of meat in it. Avoid. Awful. read more

Hungry Hippie Tacos was recommended to me from a co-worker of whom I trusted. I will never trust another recommendation of theirs again. To start off, the customer service was near horrible. All of the girls working had very snippy and rude attitudes. I felt like I was in the middle of the movie mean girls. I ordered my taco, to find out that it's 10 dollars for one single taco. So In my head I'm gonna be getting a dinner plate sized taco shell, but In reality I got one medium sized taco. Granted, it was pretty tasty. And I was hungry and willing. So I give up an additional 10 dollars for another taco that ended up being TWICE the size as the previous taco at the same price. OH! And it had a HAIR in it. All the while this is happening, my girlfriend is barely Enjoying her taco bowl, soggy shell, cold meat and all. The salsa was literally from a can of salsa purchased at the nearest super one foods. Nothing special at all about the salsa. Spent over 50 dollars for the same experience that I could have gotten for 15 dollars at Taco Bell, and Taco Bell would have been better. read more

Great post-hike casual dinner spot. Fry bread pulled pork tacos with chipotle sour cream hit the spot! Great beers on tap, too!

Slow service. Long line to order. Food wasn't worth the wait. I won't be returning.

Great food. Terrible service. Wasn't greeting at the register, asked for water jug to be refilled for customers and the worker just stared at me. No music in the facility, just customers standing in awkward silence while the only person at the registered stared at everyone. When I finally got up to order he proceeded to answer a phone order -- the line which I had called not 5 minutes earlier when he could have very rudely answered before another in person customer, but choose to ignore me. Will not be returning soon. read more

No stars. This place sucks so bad. They get my order wrong every time, the staff does not care at all. They're like robots that haven't been programmed properly. Just stone faces and zero emotion.
