Stumbled in here a couple days ago and I was truly impressed. It's a funky little market in the very best tradition of what an Asian market should be. It's got everything and the prices are good overall. Also a nice choice if you don't feel like hiking a million miles up and down the aisles of H-Mart or Lotte. And as others have said, the proprietor is very warm and kind. read more

I cannot believe how much stuff I bought for $11. I came here looking for roasted rice powder (no problem - found it in less than 5 minutes) but walked out with a bag full of gorgeous fresh herbs. Plus, the staff was genuinely friendly. read more

Love this place and they have the best bubble tea (phat tea) in the dmv. Very knowledgable and friendly staff there. Love this place

This review is for the boba. Best boba in the local area. Good menu selection of flavors. I like that they give you a choice of how sweet to make it. I always get 25% sweet and find it to be more than enough. read more

The grocery market is fine. It's not as big as some of the Asian markets in Rockville along 355, so it makes it hard sometimes when I'm looking for a specific brand or item. The people who own it/work there are extremely friendly and helpful. This rating is actually for the restaurant in the back, since I couldn't find a yelp entry for the restaurant itself, whose name I admittedly don't know. Their thit nuong is perfectly seasoned and their pickled vegetables are delicious, whether you're eating them with banh hoi or com tam, two items that are hard to find on the menu of average Vietnamese restaurants. The mi la kai (a noodle soup) is also very well done. The pho is not so good, so if your Vietnamese dining experience is limited to pho I wouldn't go here. read more

I like this place, I tend to pop in after eating at Nava Thai. It's not as big as some of the Asian markets, but the staff is very friendly and helpful, which can be a HUGE advantage if you don't know exactly what you're looking for (lots of things are not labeled in English). There can be a bit of a language barrier when searching for specific ingredients, but we worked it all out and I got everything I needed for tom yum soup, most recently. read more

This place is incredible. I come in to buy ingredients every once in a while, although I do occasionally come out carrying a handful of snacks and drinks that I can't easily find anywhere else. They have a huge range of items, from baked goods to sauces to canned food to rice noodles to rice balls. I can find food from my childhood that I'd normally have to go all the way to Rockville to buy, and even then it costs less here. It's not a huge store, so it can get a little cluttered sometimes. But everything is stacked and organized neatly and it works. I don't normally see many people in here for it to get packed enough that it's hard to move. The only time it was ever really packed enough to that state was when I stopped by around Chinese New Year's, and even then they kept the lines moving at a good pace. read more

Ya know what I really like this place not only the fresh veggies, but I love the random treats they have on the counter. I never know what I am buying but it's always good. I always get the sticky rice black bean, bananas thing warped in banana leaf or anything with rice and meat. Heck I like it all! And I know it;s home made. I really like their selection of tea. Good store read more

I come to this shop very often. The service is extremely friendly and always welcomes me since I'm a regular customer there. They have great prices too. I usually buy their new Pork Subs that they've started selling for $3 each, and I've gotta say they're pretty tasty & fill you up quickly. I also usually go to the grill right behind them. The summer rolls are a good price and I love their iced coffee. They have low prices for their good food. I definetley recommend this place. read more

I'm a super friendly and patient person but God forbid you actually need assistance in this store. I've witnessed customers getting attitude from the employees when they needed help but ignored it because it wasn't me. However, very recently, the store owner was muttering inappropriate things at me when I approached her because she thought I didn't speak the language. She continued making rude comments because she truly believed that I didn't understand. Never going back. Not only did I not get what I asked for, she was rude when I hadn't even spoken to her yet! It made me wonder how she often she does this to non bilingual customers. Maybe be a little more careful about who you assume can't speak a certain language! read more

This isn't a review about the grocery store (which is wonderful, by the way). Nor, is it a review about the various ready-made Vietnamese and other-Asian foods that you can grab at the hot station, or the checkout counter. (They can seem really funky, but if you are the adventuresome type, they are truly cool to try.) No, this review is about the bubble tea bar that they opened a short time ago. It's not the fastest....or, the trendiest...or, the coolest. But, man...can those guys make some great drinks! I've had several tea drinks with bubbles and jellies. All were wonderful. The prices are really decent. Unlike some other bubble tea bars, these guys push the envelope on Asian drinks. You can get the various black and green tea drinks, as is the usual in such places. They also serve this sweet Thai tea which is to die for. Give this stuff a try. Its really worth it. read more

Very friendly staff, wide selection, awesome fresh banh con noodle and other fresh prepared foods, and amazing bubble tea.

Such friendly service and a great selection. Discovered it by accident several months ago, now I'm in there every week. This place is a treasure! read more

I've been a loyal customer for many years. I love their fresh noodles (banh cuon), fried tofu, and coconut bread from Maria's bakery. The herbs here are also very inexpensive (many you cannot find at Hmart), such as the two types of Vietnamese cilantro. The owners are very friendly and often give me new recipes to try. read more

I don't know how every one thinks about this Asian groceries store, I personally think will never come back. Well, the fesh foods are not fresh, and the place to keep the fresh foods are very dirty. The prices more expensive. Just compared one smallest item is 40cent expensive than another Asian store, and big items are more expensive. read more

Excellent source for southeast Asian items. Wider variety from that region than the larger Asian stores in Rockville that specialize in Chinese and Korean. Carries many hard to find items from Indonesia. Good prices and friendly staff. read more
