The store is packed to the fullest and you can find items covering the aisles and tucked in corners. I was looking for Gluten Free items which are hard to come by in a regular box store. Moti's Market had quite a variety. Gluten Free products are quite expensive and hard to find. I wanted to be able to pick up and look at the products, before buying them. I was able to find Gluten Free cookies, matzah ball mix, matzah, onion soup, and gefilte fish. There is ample parking, but checking out can be a challenge. There are only a few lines and on the day I went, they were snaking through the store, almost from front to back. That being said, cashiers were nice, as well as people who helped me find certain items. The line moved fairly quickly. I would highly recommend this store to people who are Gluten intolerant and observing Jewish holidays. Their deli department and meat department are top notch. Thank you Moti's Market for helping to make our Passover Seder healthy for everyone attending.

Little did I know I was about to order from one of the most amazing Persian spots in town. I can't speak to the ambiance since my I dined on my couch. From what I can tell, it's actually a Persian market with a kitchen inside. When my food arrived, I was greeted by a wide flat box nicely packed in a fancy plastic bag. Honestly, it felt less like takeout and more like a gift. This had to be some of the best takeout packaging I've ever seen and the unboxing was as satisfying as opening a new iPhone. Inside was my koobideh platter, a side of Shirazi salad, and a heaping side of yogurt sauce. They even included nice utensils, a napkin, and a packet of sumac to sprinkle on the kabob. After a few minutes of staring at my food in awe, I finally dug in. The platter came with two skewers of koobideh. They had a nice bouncy texture and were juicy with excellent flavor. It also came with a 1/4 grilled onion, a whole grilled tomato cut in half, and a whole grilled jalapeño, all on top of a bed of fluffy saffron basmati rice. They even tucked a pat of butter in with the rice. Everything was perfect! I love Persian kabobs, but I don't get them very often. They can be expensive, and some restaurants (I won't name them) are very skimpy with portions. Gourmet Bazaar restored my faith that there are still places that give you your money's worth. I will 100% be returning, and I highly recommend them to everyone.

Then visually, everything spoke to me, from the displays of imported products, to the cases of nuts in copper bowls, to the freshly prepared take home hot & cold foods at the food order counter to all the varieties of any kind of Mediterranean foods you can think of stocked within all the aisles. And did I mention the pastry counter? OMG, I was in heaven & how did I not know about this place? We came to order a take home dinner after a class we were taking and wanted to try the chicken kabob dinner. We found our way to the order counter despite my obvious distraction of everything around me. Everything on the menu looked SO good and the items in the display case were looking yummy. They had many varieties of Pinsa on display & they were tempting, but we were there for kabobs first. Judging the store/takeout by this simple dish, but very important. They have everything from traditional Persian meals, but also flatbread "pizza" called Pinsa, cheesesteaks etc. I also have been searching for Fesenjan as my usual stop has disappointedly changed the recipe. I inquired if they have it and they DO! The wonderful counter lady offered me a sample & I quickly said, Yes and it was YUMMY!! Just with that, I grew more excited. We decided to also purchase 3 different Baklava from the pastry counter (2 walnut types & 1 Pistachio). When our food was ready, we were handed this HUGE bag, for 2 dinners? 2 almost pizza boxes were in the bag and it was heavy. I kept telling my husband, are you sure this is ours? When we got home I couldn't wait to see what's inside the box. I have NEVER seen such a well packaged take home set up. Food was perfectly presented within the box as well as once we opened the lids, nothing moved. I'm still in awe & appreciate the high level of care in creating the packaging. Shows care for the food & customers. What I didn't expect & great surprise was receiving Shirazi salad and Mast-O-Khiar with our entree order. ALL the food was EXCELLENT, good portion value. I will say the Pistachio baklava was my favorite, but the other walnut baklava was also very good, I would even say THE BEST I've ever had and I've had many from almost everywhere my entire life. Please note that store hours are hour longer than kitchen hours. We just made it before kitchen closed at 8p, which we did not realize. The store looked clean, nicely stocked, very friendly staff and what I could see of the kitchen also clean & orderly. Truly a fantastic experience.
