Heard good things about Hundy but it was very disappointing. It was the driest burger I've ever eaten, I couldn't even finish it. If you want to spend $20 on a burger, try somewhere else. I'd say even White Spot is better lol. read more

Solid burger. The sauce is a bit similar to triple o's. The bun/meat ratio is a little off but everything was delicious. Tried a cabbage on peanut sauce special, which was nice. The ambiance is trendy, with lounge background music and low lights. Service was good overall. When arriving, you'll be seated, but there's no table service. The tables are on the small size and we shared a long table with multiple people. Was not an issue though. read more

Hundy - Very hip vibe. - Burgers Near Me - Vancouver, British Columbia

Visited Vancouver and ate here twice had the hot chicken burger the first time and thought it was great. Loved the zucchini pickles on it and it had a nice kick. My companion had the fries, I'm not much of a french fry person, but she was impressed. Liked it so well that we went back and then I tried the bacon cheeseburger. I had eaten at Five Guys and this burger put it to shame. It was amazing. Staff were friendly and helpful and everything was fresh and delicious. Did not visit the speak easy. read more

One of the best chicken burgers in Vancouver! Flavourful and crunchy. Beef burger is typical, maybe a little less than. Don't order it. Order the chicken burger! read more

We were craving a late night burger and we're happily surprised by Hundy! We initially came in for takeaway and were then told about the stockroom and opted to eat there. Ambiance was great. Burgers are filling and with great toppings. Poutine was alright. Would recommend! read more

Really good burger, potatoey-fries and good service. Very good picnic food though the place itself it good to eat in too.

Hundy is a great place to get a good burger in Vancouver, maybe even top 10! They serve their burgers medium well by default , something that is becoming harder and harder to find. A medium well burger will always be juicer than the typical overcooked burgers you'll find at most places. Ironically, my burger during this visit was actually over cooked and a bit dry as a result. The menu here is small and simple features a few different burgers and poutine. They serve beer, wine, and bottled soda.(no big brand soda though) You wait to be seated and then go up to the counter to place your order. I had the bacon cheese burger, fries, and a beer. My food, including tip, totalled $30. My 3 reasons for not giving this place 5 stars were because I was a little disappointed to see my burger well done and also because the Hundy sauce they use is hella runny, resulting in a sloppy burger. The final reason, the price was a bit too high in my opinion for what you get; I was still kinda hungry after. Overall, I would definitely recommend you try Hundy. We will definitely be back here again, only this time I might get a double instead. read more

Ordered on Uber eats. Appreciate the sustainable packaging. What was bad was the poutine was nearly flavourless, cheese curds barely melted and gravy was bland asf. Ordered a bacon cheeseburger. What monster puts American (processed) cheese on a cheeseburger? Cheddar cheese is the bare minimum here, use real cheese ffs. 2 stars since it was edible despite the issues, but holy cow get your sh*t together y'all. Burgers and poutine are not hard to make well. read more

4.5 - Ordered through Ubereats, and it was a good meal, albeit a bit pricy for burger and fries. The bacon cheeseburger was flavourful, with a soft milk bun and lots of toppings - generally, a solid burger. The chicken burger was also really solid - nicely fried. I didn't really love the fries. They were a bit over fried, and so when they cooled down (from delivery), were a bit too crispy for my preference. read more

Went here for the first time a week ago, and this place is adorable and so popular. The interior is cute with flower wallpaper, retro lit up signs and a great overall space to hang out. I wouldn't recommend a group bigger than 6, as most seating are booths (at least in the back). Food was great, crunchy chicken burger was amazing. Service was good, friendly and quick. Everything is payed at the front and servers do not come around for refills, which makes the environment seem more chill. read more

First visit to Hundy was impressive. An original thinking, local business owner for sure. We describe the burgers to be, a fusion style gourmet meets home cooked. This is the best we came up with. The prices were fair too. The staff were wonderful. Definitely will return because the fried chicken is a flagship recipe and has been on their menu, since day one. Can hardly wait to try the chicken and will also be back for the breakfast at Their There. read more

Hundy - Hundy Burger, clearly simple and effective. - Burgers Near Me - Vancouver, British Columbia

This place is an influencers dream (yawn), beautiful interior and packaging, although the food is lacking. I can think of several fast food burgers that are better, for much less money. I respect the attempt, but this was just disappointing, especially since there are so few menu items. They're going for In N Out or Whataburger, but charging way more for much less. It's just kinda bland and forgettable. Apparently the fried chicken sandwich is good but there are several others around town that are spectacular (Popina!) Sorry Hundy read more

Amazing staff, amazing food & amazing place. The team that served us could not be more helpful and friendly. The food was fantasic (fried chicken burger & cheeseburger). The beer selection was perfect - Superflux Manana! All round great experience. read more

Had high hopes coming here as I've always been blown away by the quality of everything at Their There and Annalena. If I had one word to describe the overall food experience at Hundy though, it'd have to be dry. Save for the poutine that was actually quite soggy. Venue is hip and charming albeit a bit too jam packed and rowdy. When you're waiting for a table, you can choose to hang out by the bar and order a drink. However, it seems everyone opts to do this so the people by the bar/waiting area outnumber the people in the table area and often overflow into the table area to the point that it's hard for staff to navigate. They ought to limit the people here not only to appease the fire department, but also to make for a better experience where people aren't bumping into one another and so it doesn't feel like you're lining up at a club for drinks when you're just trying to get a burger. Onto the food. The poutine, soggy with sad cold and hard cheese curds. Way too salty and the kimchi just doesn't mesh well with the other flavours, in fact the umami nature of it exaggerates the saltiness. The fried chicken burger; the chicken was crispy on the outside but bland and dry on the inside. The bun itself is just more dry (same bun used on the regular burgers), frankly I wouldn't be surprised if these were just the buns from the amazing breakfast sandwiches at TT, reused in a sad and stale form for dinner service. The bacon cheeseburger, supposedly the highlight of the meal, was just more disappointment. The burger patty itself is bland and thin. Hundy sauce is somewhere between big mac sauce and triple o's sauce, but the patty itself doesn't even stack up to white spot or triple o's. The toppings are of a decent quality but overwhelm the weak burger. Hundy is within spitting distance of both a Triple O's and a Romers and I'd bet money that in a blind test, Hundy's burgers would lose out to either of those. It's not that bad but only on par with your typical fast food joint burger that's half the price. Unimaginative and poorly executed food, not what I'd expect from the minds that created Annalena. Although the room is packed, people are coming for the trendy ambiance and hype of the atmosphere rather than the food. The crowd is young, music is loud, and people are grinding up on each other. If Hundy keeps this up, they will continue to succeed, the same way that nightclubs thrive on alcohol sales despite there being better places for cocktails or beers in town. They are selling this experience while being the simulacra of a good burger joint. read more

I came here for their morning service (their there) and had some amazing buns but unfortunately the weekend evening service specialize in burgers fell short. I got the bacon cheese burger (one of the recommendations from the lady at the counter). I mean, who doesn't like bacon, right? The burger (2/5) was mad salty and I didn't like the wax film on the top bun. My burger patty was dry as can be. I wanted some kind of sauce. It was also quite messy to eat which is usually ok if the taste of the burger can match up to its messiness. The only thing worth noting is the presentation. It looked good in it's nicely pouched half paperbag. The fried chicken sandwich (3/5) was the redemption point of the night but it still wasn't as good as what they served me during their morning hours. I had two bites; one at the start of dinner (obviously this wasn't my sandwich).. and it was salty and I had the last bite which was underseasoned. ... not ok. Salt should be well distributed throughout the sandwich but then it dawned on me... why is someone sprinkling salt on a sandwich??? Maybe the chef was having an off night or something but I was not satisfied with both sandwiches. read more

This place makes one bloody delicious burger. It may seem pricey at $15 but the Hundy Burger was juicy and delicious. The menu is limited but that's fine with me if the food you serve is delicious. I will definitely be back and try the nightly special. read more

Ordered a cheese burger and a chicken burger. Beef patty was pathetically thin and didn't have much flavour, bun was good but disproportionate to the meat and shredded lettuce. This burger was almost all lettuce and bun. I kind of wanted to ask for my $11 back. The chicken was decent, much better than the beef burger, but by far not worth going back for. It was weird how they seat you at a table and then make you order yourself from the counter. read more

It was just ok. The sauce on the cheeseburger was tasty but the patty was over salted and so were the fries. Beer on tap is $12 for a pint, which is ridiculous. Bottom line: would not recommend read more

Hundy, oh hundy honey...you were so good, no in fact you were amazing. Something happened recently and what used to be a delicious crunchy moist succulent uber delicious chicken sandwich turned into a horrid cardboard like sad chicken garbage burger. No hundy, in fact not at all. Go back to what you used to serve before? Did you change the recipe, the cook? Even the cabbage in the sandwiches didn't look the same. Sadly I won't be back again. It was nice while it lasted. Bye now ! read more

Honestly had such low expectations going into Hundy. Overpriced burgers are a thing in Vancouver and I've tried my fair share. This made the whole experience even more of a shock. But I'll say it: best fried chicken burger I've ever had. Breading was crispy but not too thick, flavourful, but not overwhelming. The chicken was soft and tender, almost like they used thigh instead of breast although I'm not sure. The lettuce and the sauce (jalapeño aioli) used was just enough. Fries were crispy on the outside soft on the inside. Wash it down with their rotating taps and honestly, just a peak experience in general. read more

I ordered the hundy burger. I think this was in December of the year 2020. As I was eating this burger, I was wondering to myself what sin I've committed to deserve having to eat that. I think this was the worst burger I've ever had. I couldn't even finish it read more

Amazing service! The employees are very friendly and the food is amazing! I would certainly recommend it.

This place came highly recommended and they tout their burgers to be of a relatively high quality. I found that the staff is awesome but the hamburgers leave much to be desired. The easiest comparison is to Dick's or an AW, minus the fact that the Hundy burger will set you back by at least $15 plus tax and gratuity. That means that by the time I bought a soda, my bill was a burning $20 for an incredibly average product. The cheesburger and fries I ordered did not have a heavenly slice of fragrant tomato, or a sneaky onion, but was heavily dressed in thinly sliced pickles in thousand island dressing* (known as "hundy sauce"). It's not a bad burger but it is a meh-burger. read more

Ordered both cheese burger and chicken burger. Quality ingredients and great presentation...but no real flavour. So bland. Burger to bun ratio is off on the cheese burger. I really wanted to like this place. Their Instagram is an oversell. Pretty food but no substance. read more

Vancouver has found its #1 burger joint! It's about time. We got a text when our table was free, and the food came within 20 minutes - very efficient. The burger is absolutely delicious - meat done to perfection, combining perfectly with the sweet brioche bun. We got the plain fries which were also delicious, and I would recommend getting a portion of fries each. The only negative is that it isn't open every day of the week - or earlier on a Saturday when we desperately need to nurse a hangover. I'll be back. read more

I have wanted to try out this place for a long long time and finally got the chance today. Due to Covid 19, we had to order online which was fairly easy and the food was ready for pickup exactly when they indicated. A good sign, but that's kind of where it ended. A good burger should be about the meat and the meat was definitely the best thing about the burger - not too well done on the inside, crusty on the outside and had that funky flavour that you want from aged good beef, but it was completely overshadowed by a bun that was stale and dry, and toppings that were so over the top that you couldn't bite into the burger without it sliding out of the bun. It was a gross mess and sadly, I could only eat the meat - I just had to give up. A shame, and I hope it's just because of the current situation but still. At around $20 for the burger and fries, one expects a bit better. As for the fries, they were cold and really dry (we ate them immediately in the car so not because of sitting around). In this case, the food didn't justify the price. This customer was very very disappointed. read more

Came here on a Friday night. Took us over one hour to get a table (we were a group of six). I was expecting a lot because I LOVE burgers. And I mean it! I thought we could choose the doneness of our patty but we can't - which is pretty sad for a place that promises that "burgers are the main event". The meat had great quality, but it was sadly tasteless, with no salt at all. Everything else in it was quite sweet, the brioche bun is delicious but overwhelmingly buttery, the Hundy sauce is quite sweet, and even the pickles was sweeter than the average. The meat is not the star here, it's hidden; and when you finish eating the burger, it's quickly forgotten. read more

Went here because I've been seeing a lot of hype about this place on Instagram. I ordered the Cheeseburger and Fries, overall the burger was good, the bun is a bit to big for the burger, and it was quite messy. The fries were overdone, had that dirty fryer oil taste to them, they were more of a dark brown then a golden colour. I would come back here and try the Fried Chicken sandwich, it looked super tasty. Overall, burger was good, fries could've been better. I can see how this place is very popular as it has a super cool atmosphere and is pretty laid back. Good place to hang read more
