There aren't very shallow areas for the toddlers like there are at some of the other DCR pools, such as Connors Memorial Pool in Waltham, which probably helps to keep the crowds down. But the pool is very spacious and has enough space both for lap swimmers and kids playing. The spray deck just outside is great for the younger kids, too.

It's a year later and they've done extensive updates to the pool location. 1. There's now an ADA regulation ramp with rails going into the pool for those in wheelchairs or who have trouble walking. 2. They added easier steps and hand rails for children and families to enter at the opposite end (long stairs that slope gently instead of ladder style.) 3. They have added permanent shade awnings around the pool, along with wooden benches underneath them (definitely still try to come early because those get snapped up quickly.) 4. The changing rooms are the same, but entering the locker rooms, there is now almost a rubberized "curtain" of small strips to walk through that creates privacy. Previously anyone walking by in the main corridor could see directly in. 5. The splash pad/fountain area has awnings and benches around it, and is ADA accessible. As of summer of 2023, the pool is open 7 days a week from 11:15AM-6:00PM. The changes have greatly improved the property, and it's a place where you can come and stay all day instead of roasting on hot concrete. They also have water fountains and outdoor showers along the pool deck for getting a quick drink and rinsing off.

We enrolled our child in the beginner swim class in 2021. The particular instructor's methods are not only brutal but unnecessary, if not entirely counter-productive. Our child, who loved the water and had basic swimming competency prior to beginning ended up extremely fearful of the water and we spent the last year trying to undue the damage caused by SR&F. We know we are not alone as all of the other families pulled their kids from the class before we did due to the harsh and counter-productive training methodology. Worse yet, when we spoke with management to explain the issue with the instructor, they appeared to not only already know of the issues but to back the instructor. Save your time, energy and money and go elsewhere where your kids can actually learn how to swim in a safe and supportive environment.

Went to the turf area for push sled and squat racks. Def has everything for the most part. Would come back again. Very spacious. Some of the machines seem to have quite a bit of years on them but as long as they work, it's all good. The locker rooms were huge, hot tub sauna and steam shower at this location, no cold baths that i saw. Her previous client was unhappy with her color, so instead of focusing on my appointment, the stylist kept going back and forth, working on that client's color while also cutting my hair. She completely ignored me, barely consulted with me, and kept insisting the haircut I wanted "wasn't that hard," as if I was making a big deal over nothing. The result was a terrible haircut that was not what I asked for at all. At first I thought I might be overreacting and tried to give it time, but months later my hair is still completely messed up and uneven from that cut. I'm a disabled veteran and have certain accommodations that I'm learning how to ask for. I was worried it wasn't for me. But they reassured me I belong there and can benefit greatly. Taking the time to listen to someone is rare these days. But it's the difference between someone being just a data point vs a person for a company. Exceptional customer service is an art form. The best make it look effortless. They made a difficult situation disappear over a simple conversation. Kudos!
