Clean sand, clear water, beautiful sky. No filter.

Humarock is one of my favorite beaches. It is private so it's basically lined with people renting houses for the summer. Be prepared to park at someone you know's house or walk a bit -- I believe there are some paid parking options but Idk the details because I've never had to pay to park there. It is very serene and clean. The water is GORGEOUS and very clear and clean. The sand is very soft and supple. I find Humarock extremely relaxing for a day of tanning and swimming. There tend to be wide pockets between people/families so you have a lot of space and privacy to enjoy your day.

Short stretch of private beach between boston and the Cape. Not much public parking keeps the beach clear for the owners. Love it

Awesome beach! Great alternative to other nearby beaches that are usually overcrowded.

Can't they take the "rock" out of Humarock? It's hard to find a patch of sand anywhere close to high tide...

Humarock's a great beach, the only decent one in Scituate. There's a store and facilities. Very little parking though for outsiders.

Most of the beach is private along central Ave but they do have a public parking area and beach area.

If you're looking for a secluded hidden gem along North River, boy do I have the spot for you!!…read moreIt's called Couch Beach... not sure as to why, but if I had to guess it's because its quiet, quaint and cozy... a place you can relax and enjoy the moment, just like being at home on the couch! Couch beach can be found by entering Twomile Cemetery. There is a small dirt parking lot on the right a little further back on the right hand side. From that little parking lot it's about a 10 minute walk down a dirt trail that is gated off. Don't let it scare you off, it's just stating that motor vehicles aren't allowed... your bikes and feet are welcome to pass through. Once you get back to the beach area you'll see there are some trails, a seating and picnic table area, and a small sandy beachfront. It would be a great place to put a standup paddle board or kayak in the water, however it might be a bit of a hike with it to get there since you'd have to carry it from the parking lot that again is about 10 mins away (maybe about 1/3 of a mile). However, pack up that fishing gear and beach chairs, those are easy to carry and the perfect spot for it. The lake water doesn't seem as clear or clean as the ocean might, but it is beautiful and much warmer! The views here are spectacular and just lovely. Feels like the perfect day date spot, a girlfriend day of reading & rose, or just a place to unwind alone. Highly recommend if you are in the area or fairly close by and looking for a lower trafficked beach area to enjoy!
