Beautiful scenery here. Really nice place for some views! Really nice place for dogs too!

Beautiful little spot! Mostly flat trails with small inclines here and there. The pathways are well maintained and the boardwalks are in great condition.

View from boat house along the trail.

2 miles of trails, some along the North River! You can stop at a boat house along the river. You can see historical ship yards (signs marking where they were). Even on a warm day, it's not bad in the woods. There is also a small and scenic pond, as well as wetlands--and an area where you have to be quiet to respect the wildlife (but signs don't say what?). Trails are clearly marked and well-kept! Maps available at the entrance and a small lot for parking.

Absolutely beautiful! Worth taking a walk or going for a run! Or even simply enjoy, enjoying the outdoor outdoors.

There's a boat house to visit right along the North River and during the fall the foliage can be quite good.

Lots of memorials to our service men and women. There is an off leash dog park next door. Actually 2 separate fences in areas. A number of the trees are dead and have not been cut down nor replaced in years. It's a good place to relax, meditate, lay out a yoga mat in either sun or shade, and you can often see wild turkeys, wild Canadian geese, Hawks, rabbits, red foxes, and eastern coyotes. The park has several memorials, and you can also participate in adding adding or funding them also. Good spot for photography, drawing, sketching, painting landscape paintings, or flying kites as long as you stay away from the trees. Beware: I'm not sure, but you might also be able to rent it for private events. If you happen to be relaxing in the park on a Friday evening, during a concert or Food Truck Rodeo down the street, the traffic can back up and many unruly, rude teenagers and kids will shout, scream, and yell obscene harassing profanities at you from their cars just because you happen to be there.

It can be busy on weekends though and hence less serene. If you have a dog, bring him! It's a dog friendly place but Fido must be leashed. There are other local dog parks if you want your dog to run free with his friends. This isn't that place. The view along the water is lovely and I've heard that you can go in the water as well as fish. There are about 6 miles or so of terrain to cover. Not a lot but just enough to work up a sweat and burn off some of the pandemic poundage we've gained. This park has been one in a rotation of outdoor spaces where my husband and I are spending free time as a way to get some fresh air and exercise. No permits, no fees! Just show up! Keep yourself moving. Eat less, walk more.

If you want to allow your dog off leash, Hingham will provide you with a permit. Its free to apply and they just need proof of vaccines and a homeowners' policy. It's a very quick process. I applied for mine and it was approved within 1 day. I just haven't picked it up yet. I don't plan on walking here off leash too much, but will let my dog off leash if its a quiet morning.
