I had a small leak in my hot water closet. He fixed the issue. The city was able to see that they had a leak on their end as well. My tech was professional and knowledgeable. I had a bathroom where my tub and toilet would bubble, indicating there was a blockage down the plumbing line, farther than I can reach with a plunger or snake. It wasn't a mystery, I was aware of it. After my tub backed up, I called Hull to come out, clear the blockage, and run a camera and inspect the plumbing to identify where any other "problem areas" are, so I could repair them before laying new floors in my home. First guy came out New Year's Eve and said he didn't think anything was wrong with my plumbing, and left. He said he would come back after the New Years, and run the camera to inspect my plumbing. He never came. Tub backed up again. So I called them again. Second guy came out Feb 6. He charged me more than $400 to, from the roof, open the stoppage. He also charged me more than $400 to run a camera, saying he would email the results to me... but then didn't give me any information about what the camera showed. Only that there was a blockage causing the tub to back up. Which I knew. So... in short... I was charged for the camera to be run and inspect the plumbing for any problem areas.... but then either it wasn't run or they didn't give me the results. I've emailed Hull directly. From the email where they sent me my invoice. And directly through their website. And they have never replied. Not even a "oops" or a "oh ya, here's what happened..." nothing . No communication. So I am giving them a one star because they refused to respond to my inquiries, asking why I never received any results. It is disrespectful and inappropriate billing. So... When Jerred, the technician who initially inspected a clog at my home, came out, he told me the repair would cost over $20,000. As a new homeowner, I was understandably very upset. Later, Javier, the field supervisor, assessed the issue and informed me that the necessary pipe installation would actually cost around $1,800 -- a drastically lower and more reasonable estimate. I also mentioned to Jerred that I'm a combat veteran and asked if the company offered any kind of military or veteran discount. He told me flatly that they do not offer military discounts to veterans. In addition, I have a koi pond on the property. Jerred said that pond care was his hobby and passion, as noted in his bio. He offered to get it up and running for me, and I agreed, paying him approximately $1,500 to clean it. While he did clean the pond and had me purchase several additional items like filters and a pump, he never returned to finish the job. It felt very much like a "take the money and run" situation. Later, I contacted Javier again to fix a leaking spigot, as he had previously seemed professional and trustworthy. However, this time the interaction became completely inappropriate. He began sending me flirtatious text messages such as "hello gorgeous" and "good morning sunshine." He also told me he wanted to make sure I was "completely satisfied," with clear sexual undertones. His behavior was disrespectful, unprofessional, and made me feel extremely uncomfortable. I would not advise using this company. read more

Set an appointment with Hull Plumbing, I drove 195 miles to make it to the appointment on time. I met the plumber, (Aaron French). He quoted a fair price for the work I needed, he said he could start the following day at 10:00 am. However, he never showed up, didn't bother to call me at all. I called the company, (Hull Plumbing). I was told he was on a job and couldn't make it. This practice of business is unprofessional and sub standard. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone! read more

I had a very small job, but it was handled very well beginning to end! I just needed some assistance setting up a natural gas grill on my patio, and although I consider myself a fairly capable DIYer, I didn't think I was ready for dealing with an NG line. I called, they explained that it would be $98.50 for someone to come out and give an estimate, and that if I ended up hiring them, that fee would go towards the cost of the job. Doug came out a few days later, he was kind and helpful, and gave me an estimate, which I accepted. He said it would be $115/hour, and he would be extremely shocked if it took more than an hour. He quickly went and grabbed some parts, installed everything, and was out of there in under an hour. Owner charge you $100 to just over price you his going rate $282.00 per hour. Owner claims they do not do it by the HOUR but by the job. They took 15 minutes to hacksaw 1 pipe. I had the pipe dug up before they got here. And Charge $432.00 if you don't agree then they want $100 for their trouble. And I waited after they said they would charge extra if they come out on a Sunday. PRICE GOUGER. He said he want to talk it over which why bother already price gouging why bother. The service was good. We used them before to fix our toilet and change out a busted pipe from a ice storm. We recently called the company out again believing that it was the same service charge. The provider charged a much higher service charge, providing the explanation of "this is what I charge." So now, after paying a higher service fee, I now know that it depends on who from the company comes to your home, so I will be weary to call again. I will say they came when they said they would and charged what they said they would. Initially. They came out to clear a clogged pipe and offered an estimate to scope the pipe to find the issue. I didn't know where my cleanouts were so I decided the scope was worth it. They came out and didn't find the clean out and told me the sewer pipe near the main had broken. Which was fine, but I was still charged $700 for basically nothing and wasnt even offered to be credited the $700 toward the repair. Effectively they charged me $700 to come out and give me $16,000 worth of estimates. Also while they were scoping the pipe (from the roof) they said they couldn't find the clean out so there were more estimates to add that. I went out that evening with a flashlight and found my clean out in the dark with no fancy equipment. I had a good run with hull. We've used them at a rent house several times. But we'll be going a different direction from now on. read more

Plumbing is SO expensive!! I had a water pipe in my front yard break and called Hull to fix it. It was $1,200. They were very nice and professional. They had to dig quite a ways down, which they did. I had issue with water leaking whenever the toilet on second floor was flushed. I called this company to come and find the root cause of the issue since I do not know anything about plumbing. They came and start cut holes on my ceiling only to find out that the toilet on the second floor was not seated properly and caused the leak .I wished I had called different company because their experienced plumbers probably have more knowledge and skills to recognize this issue at first hand or at least investigate more thoroughly prior to deciding leave holes on my ceiling for me to repair. I knew what the cost of this job would be (minus the labor but was curious to find out about that rate), and their final charge was VERY reasonable. There's a chance a person not in the know would think it was a decent price for the work, but I'm here to tell you it was an exceptional price. We have a old house that had some gas leaks, so we called Hull Plumbing to come out and repair the gas line. On the original call out, the tech quoted us on replacing the whole gas system through the attic instead of the crawl space. The figure seemed very high. I found some trouble issues under the house and pinpointed them out, and they came back and replaced those areas of pipe for about half the amount. However, we reviewed the detailed bill and felt we had been overcharged on some items. We called and spoke with a manager to discuss, and the mgr was very rude. He argued with me over little details. We left a poor review, as we felt they wasted an opportunity to make an unsatisfied customer happy over a small amount of money. This is when things turned around. Rich Hull contacted us in response, and apologized for the behavior of the manager. He offered a credit, and had a technician come out to tie up some loose ends free of charge. Techs for all jobs were on time, professional, and friendly. They took the time to update us on work being done. read more

For anyone in need of plumbing services, I would NOT use HULL PLUMBING. I had a slab leak repair that has reappeared at the point where it was patched. The company refused to make it right. It is possible that is is a separate leak but their plumber Robert located the second leak exactly over the repair location. And, when they first tested the repair they had to rework the patch to "make it work". I had a different plumber out today and he said he could repipe it for roughly 800 dollars where Hulls estimate was over 3000 dollars. #HULLPLUMBING. They came out to the house because I had one bedroom that was getting soaked in the carpet and I thought there wS a leak in the wall. Come to find out the new fridge I had was leaking water on the floor every time the ice maker would fill and the water was traveling to the adjacent bed room. Hull Plumbing found it and suggested I don't break the seal on the back of the fridge to get at the leak because the company could claim I had damaged the fridge. This information was exactly correct. They only charged me $98 for the service call and the hour of diagnosing/finding the leak. I had visions of them having to dig up the foundation to fix a leak below the slab, but thank goodness I put in a claim with Samsung and they're paying for two rooms of carpet, plus the plumbers cost. Other than waiting forever for Samsung to pay the claim, it's a happy ending and much much cheaper than it could have been! I'll call Hull Plumbing next time. I made an appointment for plumbing service for the following week. I was told the plumber would call me 30 minutes before arrival. Come Tuesday of the following week after waiting 8 hours, i called at 4:00 PM and Jennifer apologized and told me they were short-handed and running behind, but I was on the schedule and they would still be out that day. Well, nobody ever showed up or called to let me know otherwise. A business concerned about good customer service would have at the least, called early in the day to reschedule if possible, and surely would have been in communication with the customer. Probably the most crooked plumbers I have ever heard of. I was trying to sell my house when the buyers decided to send Hull plumbing out to verify everything is okay with my system. Now mind you, I'm living in Denver at the time, so I couldn't witness this with my own eyes, but basically what happens is that Hull comes out and supposedly does a scope of my system and tells the buyer that the line is collapsed in one place, swelled in other places, the entire outside lines need to be replaced. The quote they gave us was $11,500, yes, you read that correctly. We are talking about an 1850 sf house with 2 bathrooms and at most 200 ft of underground sanitary lines outside the house. I called BS, and got my own plumber to go out there a few days later, after the buyers walked on the deal of course. Oh, they sent me the video after I told them there was no way I was doing anything until I saw it; they only scoped one of the 3 lines that come out of my house and all it showed was one part where there was some swelling of the old orangeburg piping. Absolutely no line collapsed. Anyway, my guy went out, called me back after 1 hr and said after running all showers and sinks and flushing toilets for 45 minutes all he did was run up my water bill. He told me he couldn't make it back up into my house. Thanks Hull Plumbing, I sold the house one week later, but not after I was forced to move home from Denver because my house hadn't sold yet. read more

I have been having an issue with water leaking in my kitchen floor everyday this week, of course when you schedule to have someone come look at it the evidence disappears. They suggested it was a leak from the icebox since the floors, garage, surrounding area was dry. Any who, I was pleased with the phone call to the company to have it looked at. They were able to come out the next day when I called. The guys that came out were nice, explained the reasoning to the why of their findings, and not creepy. Told me to call the repair man and if they find that it is a plumbing issue then to give them a call back. Thumbs up. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. Hull is the worst. We had an emergency situation which resulted in a plumber coming to the house for a couple of days. While he did perform work, we were overquoted for the job. On Hull's website is says they won't overquote, yet we were charged two or three times the price of parts. We looked at Lowe's website and found parts for significantly less than we were charged. In some cases, parts were $300 and we were charged $600. We could have done this job ourselves if it weren't for the fact that it had to be done by a professional to pass city inspection. I think they knew that and took advantage of it. That's just ridiculous! We were also told that they would charge a certain hourly rate but we were charged MORE than what they said. Worse, we were charged for 8 hours of work when the guy only worked 6. He took a lunch break to "get parts" and we were charged for that. We were even charged for him to sit in his car for an hour and smoke a cigarette. That $110 cigarette sure did cost us. When we called the manager to discuss these issues, he actually argued with us about it. He wouldn't budge on the price, which was way more than it should have been for the work performed, and he was argumentative. That's not the way to keep customers, and it's certainly not the way to run a business. If you want to work with a place that actually cares about the customer, find ANYONE else. There were no problems with the finished work , but will never use this company again. We feel we paid too much for the work during normal working hours and were very unhappy that they would not provide a warranty for the finished work.
