Overheats. 3 service calls Unit still does not make ice and overheats, creating a potential fire hazard Have asked since the second service call for a replacement unit 3 months later, after numerous requests for a replacement, they are now saying they have "turned it over to Scotsman warranty." (What does that even mean? They have delayed by sending their "service" people, I suppose being paid by Scotsman warranty, to fix a unit that can't be fixed,) Now they are saying they offered at last repair appointment to take the unit in to be repaired. That is not true. We were going out of town to our son's wedding for a month and would have been happy for them to take it while we were gone and repair or replace. They did not offer that. And now, they say they have "turned it over to Scotsman," are delaying further. We bought it from them, it never worked, we want a replacement. They can deal with Scotsman, that is not our responsibility. They sold us a new unit that never worked.

There were some frustrations along the way, but the company ultimately made things right and honored the refund they had promised. Things don't always go as planned, especially with appliance repairs, and I appreciate how they handled everything in the end.

Able is DEFINITELY our go-to for appliance repair!…read more While we've used them a few times on different appliances, some large and some small, the latest reason for a visit was a broken microwave. TL;DR: the microwave was FIXED in less than 24 hours from my call to have them out! They were super easy to schedule with, and offered next-day service. Unlike a prior vendor who worked on the same part on the same microwave who required multiple visits, Able was able to perform the initial evaluation, diagnose the issue, and FIX the issue on a single trip, avoiding lengthy delays in a KEY appliance for our family! Lastly, and maybe even more lovely than the prompt and excellent servce: they came in under half the cost of last year's vendor! I attribute much of that to the lower amount of visits and understanding their business better! GREAT VALUE! Thanks, Able!

Ok, close it down folks, I've found my new appliance repair guy for the foreseeable future…read more I had started down the YouTube instructional video.. you know the ones that make everything look incredibly easy, but then it turns out it's a marginally different model of dryer and completely changes the whole equation? Yeah, one of those. So about fifty suppressed swear words later, I'm on the phone with The Other Guy, and we're booked for a short window the next day. He jumped right in and dismantled the entire thing to clean it out, test out parts, and make sure he got it right. He showed me how the burner was glowing too hot, which means we'd just be replacing it again in a handful of months. We tested and tried different things on it, and he landed on an airflow issue (in addition to already fixing the broken part), and shortened our exhaust duct. He stuck around to make sure this fix was it and was going to take, and it's been humming ever since. I also found his pricing fair, and will go to him again (but good lord hopefully not for a while, we've had enough of these things this year). On last note -- just call him. I know. I want to send the message and hope it works out, but I think it's easier and more likely to happen if you just call on this one.

No company vehicle so clearly didn't carry parts for appliances. I asked if solenoid from checking other things out before calling them and was told no it was the board and whole thing wasn't working. When I said the water was pumping up and down, it was making some ice, had to turn water off to get water to stop running, and asked how it's now not working? Nate gave me a sarcastic "why did you call us if it's working". I asked how did it go from pumping water to there is not power to the board. He denied he said that and was sarcastic again. He hastily finished his screwing on back of ice machine which isnt even on correctly. Also find they didn't even turn water source on to machine so how could they diagnose it? They said couldn't find board from their part supplier. Basically, took $69.95 and ran. No advice on what to do next. Kyle was fine and professional. Not someone I would recommend.
