Was suspended based off whatever the bully would say to get my son into trouble. No adult proof ever. Even with their 504 plan I have my son in they didn't help him whatsoever. Now because of them I cannot get my son into another school in the district we live in. As a single mother this is beyond frustrating and hurtful, they would never help or listen. The staff is beyond lazy they cannot deal with difficult children in any manner. So what my 10 year old doesn't get a chance to prove himself?? I chose this school based off the rating and reviews and it was the WORST decision I have ever made for my son and because of last year he now struggles from it and NO ONE HELPS YOU EVER. They don't listen. They do NOT CARE. I have never dealt with other parents with their self entitlement bs than I have with this school and it's disgusting.

We've been through 4 principals, the covid craziness, multiple musicals, sports, tutoring, and so many teachers. What I know about the Admin - They listen, they respond, they care, and they get to know each of these kids and families! What I know about the Teachers - For the most part, they are experience, they care about each of their kids, they do their best to help the kids to excel, they go above and beyond to listen and to help all of our kids feel comfortable. Yes, there have been a few teachers that I was not fond of (all of them have moved on). Yes, there have been a few cases of bullying (the current admin does not put up with it ever and I've had experiences where other kids were suspended for their bad behavior toward my kids). Yes, the pizza days are nothing special..... But I am so glad that we've stuck to our favorite school!! All of my kids have not only gotten an amazing education, but they've had fun doing it too!

We checked out several schools in the area and decided to send our son to Legacy based off of the ratings and conversation that we had with the legacy office staff. One thing that we liked was the advertised focus on academics and the students wearing uniforms. Unfortunately the focus on academics is severely lacking! The ongoing communication between the teachers and parents is nonexistent, unless the parents contact the teachers. The amount of emails that you receive daily pertaining to PTO, Sports ,and fundraising is overly abundant. I wish one of those emails would have been about my child failing a class before we found out on the progress report. Lastly there is the dreaded drop off and pick up "Drive Lines!"... This drive line is INSANE!! There was definitely a design flaw when planning out the parking lot and vehicle pathways. Legacy doesn't offer school bus service so you are subjected to this scrimmage amongst other parents to enter the 20min drive line. Overall this school just didn't live up to "As Advertised."

While my child had some excellent teachers throughout the years, there were some glaring…read moreshortcomings. Firstly, they missed the fact that the child has dyslexia; instead citing general learning disabilities and were contemplating holding her back a grade. Fortunately, we had her tested privately and then pushed the school district to make accommodations. She was discovered to be twice exceptional: gifted I.Q. with dyslexia. But, the real impetus for this review was her sixth grade teacher. Here are examples of some of the things that were said (many repeatedly) in the classroom: "Don't talk to me. My alligators are out." "I am so done with all of you. Figure it out yourselves." "You were so bad yesterday that I almost called in sick today." "It's silly to believe in God." "No American should be allowed to own a gun." The teacher unleashed her scorn upon the classes in general, while seemingly targeting certain students for the worst of her wrath (generally boys). I could write a novel based on instances with this "teacher". But, the bottom line is that my child went from being someone who loved school to dreading every single day with this person.

Attrition rate seems to be low which is very good so that the kids don't have to go through a lot of change. The homework is fairly vigorous and you'll have to expect a decent amount every night (30-40 minutes). If there's one thing that I would have an issue with is the pick up scheduling and locations. It appears to be hit or miss whether I can pick up my son in the standard line up of vehicles or if I have to pick him up in the office. They also tried an app early on in the year and it didn't work very well. They stopped using it which is good as I think it caused even more confusion. Overall, a great school and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place for your kids.
