Graduated from Perry in 2019 and now my little cousins go here. They have been telling me how bad…read morethe bullying had gotten since I left. My little cousins are getting called racial slurs and even to the point of being physically abused. We went to the front administration and they pretty much said don't worry we will take care of it and that was it. Fast forward a few months now my cousin is coming home with headaches because kids at Perry decided it was a good idea to throw rocks and other objects at my cousin. This crossed the line. Perry high only did anything to this bully ( Henry Whitt ) because we got police involved now. Shame on you Perry high. This is suppose to be a safe environment where our kids can come and learn but no. This place has turned to a nightmare for many kids that dread going to school because of all the bully's. I guess perry high supports bullying on their campus now..... such a shame. Don't send your kids here unless you want them to go through the same thing.

Our son goes here for kindergarten and it's a great facility. The playground is well taken care of…read moreand the teachers truly appear to care about the kids and have a great attitude. Attrition rate seems to be low which is very good so that the kids don't have to go through a lot of change. The homework is fairly vigorous and you'll have to expect a decent amount every night (30-40 minutes). If there's one thing that I would have an issue with is the pick up scheduling and locations. It appears to be hit or miss whether I can pick up my son in the standard line up of vehicles or if I have to pick him up in the office. They also tried an app early on in the year and it didn't work very well. They stopped using it which is good as I think it caused even more confusion. Overall, a great school and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place for your kids.

They have given great thought to making sure that the parents are involved in every single assignment and preparing for tests. If your child drops a grade level you are notified via the school application, email and phone call. Parents, gone are the days of asking your children do you have homework? What assignments are due? Because you can now look that up. We have a white boards in the hallway with the assignments and when they're due and how much grade is weighted on each one. There are no more surprises of I didn't know this was due. All of the teachers are insightful and dedicated. Some are a bit dry, some are a little stiff but overall if they weren't good at their job they wouldn't be there. I get the feeling that the Higley School district does not embrace a teacher's tenure over their quality. All of the teachers offer tutoring you just have to work around their schedule. The school has many clubs and sports for young people to get involved in. The homecoming football game that I attended the kids were well-behaved respectful and had a wonderful time. We are very involved in class parties, volunteer events, field trips, etc - and would recommend this school over and over.
