I feel like given the rankings of AZ education in general, which we know is not great as a state, Neely provides the best elementary education you can get and does so in a safe and welcoming environment. I would recommend checking it out if you're looking for an elementary school in the area.

We were hesitant to put him into ALA as they are a little bit more advanced and within a few months he was excelling! The teachers that we have had have been amazing and truly care and help our kid in any way they possibly can. I really appreciate their hard work and help. My youngest just started the Pre-K program and even though it hasn't been a month, we love his progress so far and can't wait for him to continue his journey at Imagine West Gilbert.

Really amazing inconvenient that there are multiple different schedules you can pick from, we do one of their TOPS PM programs and love that my kids get asleep every day and the mornings aren't as rushed. The only downside about the school is the lack of prioritization on outdoor play, starting in third grade. They cut out most recesses during the week and fourth grade up in most classroom that I'm aware of they do not go outside for recess, except for on Friday they only get little breaks in the classroom to socialize. My kids are busy playing club sports so that's one of the reasons we love the shorter day schedule so we make it work, but it would be incredible to still fit in one little outdoor recess every day, kids need to be outside! Will specifically mention Renee Powell who is an extremely talented and caring 1st grade teacher. I'm continually blown away when I'm in her classroom by her balance of classroom management while still being patient, loving and kind to the kids who need something and have comments and questions literally every 10 seconds. My daughter has struggled a bit to keep up with grade level standards and she has really gone above and beyond to give her the individual attention she needs and to partner with me on everything we can do to help her. This has been my experience with almost every single teacher at Eduprize. Thank you Eduprize for creating a safe place my kids enjoy coming to learn every day!

I have been at this school for 7 years. This is the worst school ever to exist, and I've been to…read moreone other school. The kids here have bullied me every year. My mom and sister emailed the principal about it over 10 times with no answer. We asked him why he hadn't done anything and he said, "It went into my junk automatically." Should I really believe the man who ran away from my mom after she said hi? No! No! I would never. These homophobic kids have bullied me for a whole year in front of teachers. After yelling "It's back!" and everyone gasping, the teacher got mad at my friend for winking. Other kids have thrown food at me, called me names, even called me slurs behind my back, and the teachers get mad at me for standing RIGHT BESIDE THE BENCHES during lunch. They also have gone against my IEP since I was a kid. They have been told REPEATEDLY that I have to have my work cut down and one of the teachers has followed that rule. The only exception to this awful school is my 5th grade teacher. I will not name him, but if you have been at this school for a long time, you must have heard of him. He was amazing, followed my IEP, ACTUALLY cared about people being unkind to other students, and let us all give constructive criticism about his teaching. I will conclude with this: The school once asked if they deserved the A+ award and everyone stayed silent.

The principal, Ms. McMillian is attentive and involved; she gives every tour and is present in every school event. She leads with empathy and her love for the school and students is evident. The teachers are always so nice and more importantly so competent in what they do. We have 2 boys at Islands and since day one at the front office, the two front office ladies Miss Brenda and Miss Shelley were super welcoming, nice and remembered our boys names. They even started tracking his height as the ultimate bonding moments. The building blocks teachers are always doing fun holiday meals and activities. They also have the best Halloween and Holiday Activities as well as events celebrating our Veterans and First Responders. A true class act with absolutely no negatives. He lost Fun Friday, Recess, and when I talked to the principal and the 2 teachers about it. One of the teachers was talking nasty to me on the phone saying comments that me nor the principal approved of. She retired the next year but one of the teachers still remains. So if your sending your kid to the 4th grade at this school. I really don't recommend It at all.
