It's safest to go after school hours for a no fuss, no wait experience. The courts are in pretty good shape. The nets on a few courts could use some adjusting or maintenance, and the lighting could definitely use an upgrade, but I guess new tennis court lights are just not in the budget this year. I'm not exactly sure when lights out occur, but the lights have always been on while I'm playing. 11:30pm was the latest I've ever stayed and the lights were still on at that time! Overall, I always have a great time playing here, so gotta love on this court!

Beneath the polished tours and Christian branding, leadership at this campus proved ineffective, dismissive, and unwilling to meaningfully address serious concerns raised by families. Many parents are drawn to a Christian school hoping to shield children from age-inappropriate influences; ironically, in our personal experience, our children were exposed to more inappropriate language and behavior here than they had been in a Chandler public school, with limited administrative response. Administration frequently emphasized high demand to attend, yet from our firsthand experience and conversations with other parents, just as many families appeared to be leaving. Academic quality and classroom professionalism raised serious questions about how teachers are hired, their qualifications, and why turnover seemed high. This school is very strict. It only makes the outspoken students more unruly, and the quiet ones more submissive. I heard some truly vile ideas being discussed in class from teachers and students. Mainly boys who would make violent sexual comments about girls and get away with it. At this school it was always minimizing the bad problems to not raise concern, and elevating the tiny problems to cover up what really needed to be addressed. Everything. I. Did. Was. An. Issue. I was terrified of these people and the way they intimidated me and my friends for just doing what kids do. The bad memories far outweigh the good. I wish I hadn't spent so much time here, I wish I could've spoken up for myself without being plagued by peer pressure. Lots of my former teachers had a superiority god complex and would try to overwhelm students into passivity. Going to hell should not be something elementary students should be afraid of. Young girls shouldn't be belittled and sexually shamed. These are supposed to be teachers, but their mindset reaks of, privileged, close minded white people with no accountability outside of themselves for who they're surround by. The education is one note, no room for any other opinion, no room for inclusivity. These are all growing children that will grow up to be very different people. The shameful, controlling, one way thinking is what damaged me the most..it breaks you down every day and children are the most impressionable. Under the smiles and scriptures plastered on the wall is all hate and aggression towards people who aren't like them.. loud worship music and a fancy campus doesn't eliminate the glaring problems with this school. These teachers are hypocrites. If you want your child to follow god, the worst thing you can do is shove it down their throats. I couldn't breathe at this school without feeling monitored, like I was walking on eggshells. It's neat, tidy, structured. It's absolute hell for kids who are just trying to have fun with their friends. I missed out on memories, the ability to be my own person without shame. I lost a lot of friends when I left because so many truly couldn't think for themselves without being told what to believe in. Thinking about all the years I spent here makes me sad and resentful. No i'm not a Christian as you can tell, but that shouldn't make my opinion any less more valid. Funny you guys turned off your google reviews btw, very funny indeed. You can run but you can't hide from the trail of angry atheist students you leave in your wake. I hope I can move on, I hope I can forgive my parents for sending me here and ignoring my complaints. I hope every student here can one day fully embrace who they're meant to be, not who they're told to be.

The teachers and faculty truly care about each students success and education. Not only is their curriculum top notch but they also teach students how to be respectful, have integrity and how to be accountable for themselves. They are teaching the students valuable lessons that will continue with each student as they press on toward their futures. If there was ever a concern with my child's education or his well being at the school it was quickly addressed and resolved. I am so thankful my child will continue to receive his education at ALA! In response to other comments, I would have to disagree with some. I am not rich and I am not Mormon and my son is treated equally along with others students who are religiously and culturally diverse. The students at ALA are sent home with a lot of homework as does any other charter school. I do not mind the amount of homework because as my son finishes this school year, he is already learning at the next grade level as well as his other classmates. My son may not be experiencing other issues within the school as he is still in elementary. I am a realist, at any school there will be bullying, there will be students who do not act appropriately, there will be students who will break the rules and bring inappropriate things to school ("vapes and drugs"). As this happens, students will make their own decisions on how to behave whether it be good or bad. I would love to know if there are ANY schools in the area who do not experience this, because even at a private religious school these things are going on. I know ALA has a ZERO tolerance policy and follows it. Hopefully other parents are realizing this and may consider speaking to their children more rather than blame the school for everything. My son and another student of color, seventh graders fresh out of elementary school, were suspended over a soap dispenser broken by a white classmate. My son did not break it. The administration, with Ms. Huso at the center, pressured him until he falsely "confessed". His words to me afterward: "I just wanted to get it over with." Both students of color were suspended. The student who actually broke it faced no consequences. The suspension was reversed only after I threatened, in writing, to escalate. Principal Provonsha showed no leadership of his own at any point. In history class, Mr. Orlando had the only Black student act the part of a slave during the slavery lesson. The administration has no respect for a child's dignity: RAISE values on the wall, nothing behind them. We changed schools and got our peace of mind back. Ask questions before you trust them with your child.
