Teacher's are discouraged to even teach because of how horrible administration is to them. The principal doesn't care about any other sports or students besides the football and baseball players. As well as any other organization besides football and baseball, they get no funding, encouragement or recognition for any type of achievement. The students are run down and tired of the sexism, homophobia and misogyny that contaminates this school from administrations personal views.

It's safest to go after school hours for a no fuss, no wait experience. The courts are in pretty good shape. The nets on a few courts could use some adjusting or maintenance, and the lighting could definitely use an upgrade, but I guess new tennis court lights are just not in the budget this year. I'm not exactly sure when lights out occur, but the lights have always been on while I'm playing. 11:30pm was the latest I've ever stayed and the lights were still on at that time! Everything is very political now. Parents aren't allowed on campus unless they are part of the P3 club. But a lot of parents work and don't have time to dedicate to the club. Also, a lot of parents would take off work to be there to volunteer and hang out with their kids. But instead, it's a mean girls club running the whole school now. Someone who is barely started the school this school year is the president of the club. She has no idea what she is doing, she is badmouthing a lot of the other parents, doesn't know most of the students. I don't think Yvonne understands that so many parents are not being a part of the club because of this single woman. Yvonne is also one of the rudest women I've ever come across. Someone who should not be working with special needs children. And has a consistent bad attitude with parents. Or any child. A lot of the parents are in the works of speaking to other campuses about transferring. And we are all giving notes about other appropriate schools where the children and all their parents come first. The three stars that I left, not for the higher-ups not for the P3 club, it's for the teachers! The teaching staff is amazing and kind and caring and goes above and beyond. And for Mr Dilly! he always treats Parents with respect he is kind and caring, always roaming the school, checking on the kids and the staff. During the 9th grade meet the teachers week I learned that the higley School district has there…read moresybliss not only in locked down but atomic time precision on when assignments are started and due. They have given great thought to making sure that the parents are involved in every single assignment and preparing for tests. If your child drops a grade level you are notified via the school application, email and phone call. Parents, gone are the days of asking your children do you have homework? What assignments are due? Because you can now look that up. We have a white boards in the hallway with the assignments and when they're due and how much grade is weighted on each one. There are no more surprises of I didn't know this was due. All of the teachers are insightful and dedicated. Some are a bit dry, some are a little stiff but overall if they weren't good at their job they wouldn't be there. I get the feeling that the Higley School district does not embrace a teacher's tenure over their quality. All of the teachers offer tutoring you just have to work around their schedule. The school has many clubs and sports for young people to get involved in. The homecoming football game that I attended the kids were well-behaved respectful and had a wonderful time.
