Teacher's qualification is not disclosed on website .Many of them probably don't hold any degree in what they are reaching.Bejng a private school, teachers don't have to comply with ongoing education/training .School doesn't participate in AZ standardized tests Infact has its own metrics/standardized tests so you are unable to really see where it stands compared to rest of the school. School really focuses on grouping based on kids levels which creates an unhealthy competition among class and parents.A lot of teacher tutor right after school dismisses and students taught by the teachers during those sessions, are then able to advance into higher groups so basically you spend more money after paying the monthly tuition.This is a very very common trend. School participates in national history day which is good but problem is the teacher who runs that is very biased.Years ago when her own child was participated in these competitions ( from middle school to high school), he would win awards in almost all categories.People felt nepotism at its very best. You pay for almost all the clubs and extracurriculars.Schools playground is too small.My child dreaded music and foreign language.Kids only do singing on music and no instruments at taught all.kids only learn numbers in Spanish pretty much the entire time.

Her and I went over the route home numerous times to be sure she knew her way home. Since it was her first day I was a little worried because we are new to our neighborhood. As I attempted to pull out of my driveway to meet her I noticed she was walking around the corner which I thought was with a crossing guard since she was wearing an orange jacket. Apparently my daughter had forgotten the route. I attempted to introduce myself and thank her for walking my daughter all the way home. The woman was so kind and was happy to help. She repeated over and over how it was "no problem" as I am profusely thanking her. The woman then introduced herself and you can imagine my surprise when I found out she was the principal! The first day of school is always hectic and this woman took her time out of her what I would assume very busy day to walk my daughter home not even knowing my daughter! Now if that is not class A top service from a school then I do not know what is! We were debating between this school and one other and I cannot begin to explain how happy I am we chose this school!

She will be moving on to a gifted school for first grade, but if she had not been accepted into Knox Gifted Academy, I would have happily kept her at Dobson. Her teacher, Mrs. Ambrose, was truly a gem. One of those teachers where you can clearly see how much she loves what she does and how much she cares for her students. Her assistant teacher, Mrs. Padilla, was also amazing! Very involved and always proactive in coming to me with updates or concerns about my daughter, Vivienne. Every morning when you walked into the school, you were greeted with smiles and uplifting music that set a positive tone for the day. It felt like a community where everyone knew your name and genuinely cared. The principal is also very present and involved, which really shows in the school's culture and environment.
