Hamilton is Arizona's largest high school and is in the Chandler Unified District. Several of my family members have attended here and so I have been around campus a lot. Hamilton HS has been awarded an A+ School of Excellence award by the Arizona Education Foundation on a few occasions. My review is mostly for the football games. Hamilton Huskies are usually one of the top teams in the state and have a some state titles under their belt. Former ASU and NFL player Terrell Suggs played for the Huskies. The games are fun and I enjoy hanging out with other friends and family that have kids here.

Admin is useless and incredibly dismissive to parents and students alike. Condescending is not a strong enough word for Robin Massey who is a counselor and incredibly manipulative towards the kids. The Principle Mr. Romero is just like Massey and has a freshman in the football team with a mouth. Of course he is 1st string and never in trouble. The double standard is obnoxious, along the well to do kids who are above any rules. No parent involvement, and a lack of consistency for Teachers. Some are great and other are reckless. I regret choosing Hamilton but here we are. I would just like to say....Hamilton didnt learn anything from there 2015 to 2019 public Hazing Scandal because hazing is still going on but verbally. I have reported this and of course nothing was done. I will be keeping a running log and then I am going to present all of my evidence to the District. Its sad that I dont trust Admin or some of the teachers and I have to email, take notes, have a meeting etc because of the issues going on. Hopefully Hamilton makes a change so things will be better in the future but as of right now....not a shot in hell this is a good experience!

Our decision to leave Lincoln Prep by the close of the 2024-25 school term was solidified because one of the assistant headmasters pulled students out of class and asked them about our 12 yo daughter's dating status and sexual orientation. He did this as a part of his "investigation" of our year-long harassment grievance. Our daughter was harassed by other students with no consequences to the bullies. We took this immediately to the executive director of upper schools, and he told me that the asst. headmaster should have asked open-ended questions, but that no further action was required. As you might imagine, his response was completely unethical and unacceptable. He also denied my request to have said asst headmaster present at our meeting. This was after several months of trying to work with the principal and asst headmaster on our harassment grievance per the student-parent handbook. Under the principal's "leadership" and the executive director of upper school's oversight, our family has been disrespected and our daugther's safety and care was not a priority. School leaders chose to protect the bullies and their families and dismiss our harassment grievances. We have now filed our grievance with the executive board of directors. GH Lincoln Prep leadership is unethical. We've removed our 3 children from their school system.

A public school would be better than this school at this point. They purposely try to make your child's experience difficult if your child has ADHD in hopes you'll leave because they lack the patience and understanding to properly deal with a child with ADHD. I would recommend anything over this particular school. I can't speak for other Great Hearts, but this one I can with confidence.

She went there and she was so proud and she told me about three girls that were attacking her, and I constantly reported them to everybody, the principal, the person above the principal, the assistant counselor Everyone I wanted to make it know what my daughter went through and she was a happy girl and so proud. No one did anything about it then on top of that thing started going well. She met these guys and she told me that they don't go to Chandler High. They just walked up And they started talking with students and they talk to my daughter. Then my daughter started vaping and doing other things that I don't know about I reported it to the school they never helped and I did it continuously. My daughter quit high school but she still has problems and I don't know what they are, but it came from Chandler High school and I love Chandler. I am proud to live in Chandler, but my daughter has problems that I can't help the school wouldn't watch out for people. It's a open campus. I defend my daughter.

We checked out several schools in the area and decided to send our son to Legacy based off of the ratings and conversation that we had with the legacy office staff. One thing that we liked was the advertised focus on academics and the students wearing uniforms. Unfortunately the focus on academics is severely lacking! The ongoing communication between the teachers and parents is nonexistent, unless the parents contact the teachers. The amount of emails that you receive daily pertaining to PTO, Sports ,and fundraising is overly abundant. I wish one of those emails would have been about my child failing a class before we found out on the progress report. Lastly there is the dreaded drop off and pick up "Drive Lines!"... This drive line is INSANE!! There was definitely a design flaw when planning out the parking lot and vehicle pathways. Legacy doesn't offer school bus service so you are subjected to this scrimmage amongst other parents to enter the 20min drive line. Overall this school just didn't live up to "As Advertised."

So be aware of the large class sizes. Once they stopped teaching academically a year ahead, it has changed tremendously. The Administration has always had a bad reputation, it comes and goes. They also have a hard time keeping teachers and resource support (IEP/504)- a lack of admin support. You will have many substitutes, which cause academic delays and significant disruption in the classrooms.

She will be moving on to a gifted school for first grade, but if she had not been accepted into Knox Gifted Academy, I would have happily kept her at Dobson. Her teacher, Mrs. Ambrose, was truly a gem. One of those teachers where you can clearly see how much she loves what she does and how much she cares for her students. Her assistant teacher, Mrs. Padilla, was also amazing! Very involved and always proactive in coming to me with updates or concerns about my daughter, Vivienne. Every morning when you walked into the school, you were greeted with smiles and uplifting music that set a positive tone for the day. It felt like a community where everyone knew your name and genuinely cared. The principal is also very present and involved, which really shows in the school's culture and environment.
