Newvista is a school that you would really like after a switch from public school but as you spend…read moremore time, you will realize a lot of things that need attention. Math and ElA curriculum hasn't changed over decades which they consider a strength ( may be it is in ELA but not in math) but kids excelling in math at nvce struggle anywhere and everywhere.Text books are so old that even school has had time stocking them. One of the reasons curriculum doesn't change is because teachers esp in advanced grades know how to teach that book but not necessarily that topic so they simply stick with those old books for comfort level of teachers. Teacher's qualification is not disclosed on website .Many of them probably don't hold any degree in what they are reaching.Bejng a private school, teachers don't have to comply with ongoing education/training .School doesn't participate in AZ standardized tests Infact has its own metrics/standardized tests so you are unable to really see where it stands compared to rest of the school. School really focuses on grouping based on kids levels which creates an unhealthy competition among class and parents.A lot of teacher tutor right after school dismisses and students taught by the teachers during those sessions, are then able to advance into higher groups so basically you spend more money after paying the monthly tuition. This is a very very common trend. School participates in national history day which is good but problem is the teacher who runs that is very biased.Years ago when her own child was participated in these competitions ( from middle school to high school), he would win awards in almost all categories.People felt nepotism at its very best. You pay for almost all the clubs and extracurriculars.Schools playground is too small. My child dreaded music and foreign language.Kids only do singing on music and no instruments at taught all.kids only learn numbers in Spanish pretty much the entire time.

I would not even recommend this place to my worst enemy! My son went here 2 yrs ago. He was 2…read morealmost 3 back then and the only thing he remembers is that Ms. Tina yells at him and never wants to come back. No fun memories at all. Every time I pick him up, he's always so dirty. Dried up snot on his face. Dirt. Scratches. You would even catch the teachers smoking outside. Even the ones that cook their food Never in my sons life that he had pink eye, ear infection, cough, cold, fever all at the same time ONLY when he was in this day care. You walk in that place and every kids noses are runny. We moved him to a different day care. Today before his shower, he told me that his teacher gives him tickles on his head and that he likes them very much! Only fun memories of singing, playing, learning and art! You guys could never!

The owners, the staff, the "director" all lie, steal, argue, & discriminate. The second you need to…read morebring up a concern they find ways to hold anything they can against you for an example, your kids 504 plan that they approved MONTHS before enrollement (which has nothing but a positive discipline reinforcement on it lol nothing a normal daycare cannot and should not provide to any and all children) and tell you they can't accept it after all. Meanwhile a child with severe mental conditions they can care for? Further investigation showed that this child belonged to a staff members family. Go figure. Owners catch wind of any formal complaints you make to the DES about the constant lice, bed bugs, expired food being served, immature behavior from the staff, over ratio in all classes (kid per teacher per age group), the abuse, neglect, speeding while driving kids to school, and the list goes on (pull up the AZ DES reports parents, don't go into this blind) the owners will get involved in hopes of preventing to be shut down which is great but in the wrong way. They will block the parents from social media to prevent any bad reviews and never create a solution for the complaints for the safety of the children. This place is on the verge of being shut down, parents, you have complaints? Don't leave it on the review section, take it up with DES.
