The vibe is so chill. The manager is super nice and the choices of pizzas are fun. I mean...biscuits and gravy? Brazilian cream cheese? Andouille sausage and sauerkraut? They all sound sooo strange, but I must tell you that they are delicious. We have tried the Popper Pizza, Spicy Hawaiian, Fair Time, Chicken Fajita, and Biscuits & Gravy (you can go half & half on any pizza 10" or larger). Yes, these are all pizzas. Each one has not disappointed. Our faves have to be the Popper Pizza, Biscuits & Gravy, & Hot Hawaiian. You honestly can't go wrong with any of them. We try a new one each visit and none have disappointed. It's definitely worth visiting when you're in Montana.

The service was wonderful and really made the experience even better. The standout item for me was the teriyaki chicken, perfectly cooked and packed with flavor. Plenty of table and booth seating inside. Their pizza is amazing. Williston lacks amazing pizza and this place changes that. Prior to discovering Hula now does pizza we would go to Dabinos, rivers edge or the sports den for pizza. Pizza Hut and Damion's make pizza but those are like classic comforts. Hula has great options for toppings. Tastes great. The original crust is great. They have a sourdough which the flavor is there but a little tough. Soft serve ice cream also available for when McDonald's shake machine doesn't work.

Being in the industry for over 20 years, to my surprise the bartender said "let me ask the kitchen, we close in 45 minutes.!' 45 minutes to close shouldn't even be a question to ask the kitchen. Then she came out and said they were still serving and takes off. So we are looking for a place to sit and she says' you can't sit there, there are no servers.' Ok so maybe you should have sat us after you told us you were still serving 45 minutes to close. The service just progressed to get worse. The food itself was pretty good but the portions were ridiculously small. Only one side with main dish and my date ordered the duck and got literally 4 small bite size pieces of meat, $32. My halibut was also very skimpy and the Brussels sprouts were burnt, $38. Not once did the server even come back to ask how the food was or I would have had her get me a different side. I wish I would have taken a picture of the food. The food itself was good, minus burnt Brussels sprouts but it's a good thing we got an appetizer too or we would have still been hungry. The server is lucky my date left 20 because I said to leave 10 and I don't even know if that was deserved. I am in the industry and we always overtip but not in this case when it's more than obvious the server doesn't even want to be there. So all in all it was not a good experience. Overpriced for the portion of food and the service was awful.

That said, the hostess experience has consistently been the weak point for me. On my most recent visit, there were open seats in the bar area and I politely requested to sit there because it felt warmer and more intimate for our group. The request was denied in a way that came across unnecessarily dismissive and unfriendly, which unfortunately set the tone for the evening. I also think the restaurant could improve how the back dining room is managed during colder months. That area tends to be very cold when it first opens in the evening, and guests are often seated there before the room has had time to warm up. It would make a big difference if the area was opened and heated before seating guests, since most people naturally prefer to sit somewhere warm when it's freezing outside. Unfortunately, when customers ask to move to a warmer area, it can feel like the request is treated more as an annoyance than an effort to make guests comfortable. At a restaurant of this caliber, hospitality starts at the front door. The food and servers are excellent, but the front-of-house experience could definitely use improvement.

We ordered the giant pizza pretzel immediately & opted to wait to see just how big it was before choosing a meal. Well, it's "no meal needed even when sharing" big. In the words of my hubby, "this should come with a warning" - pro tip: add the cheese sauce along with the marinara. Yes, it costs extra & totally worth it. It's a soft bread-style pretzel, not the traditional style. Think traditional peperoni pizza shaped like a pretzel. It's tasty! Now, I've seen complaints about no house brews. There were 3 house brews on tap when we were in. I will say you had to look for it on the menu. It wasn't in your face visible on the menu. The hubs tried 2 and said they were ok. I had the Summit Oatmeal Stout and it was deliciously creamy. Stuffed beyond reason, we still ordered the pretzel bread pudding with ice-cream. I was already tapped out and this was another giant serving. He gave it his all but it was another DNF. All in all, service & the food were good & the house beer decent. While the prices seemed high, the portions were huge, making the price per pound reasonable, imo. On exit, the sofa in the den-style seating area caught my eye. I told the hubs to offer them $3k for it... upon reflecting, I'd bump up to $5k - swoon!
