The school has done very well accommodating her IEP, and when I had issues they addressed them in a timely manner. The only problem we struggle with now is the no cell phone law. I don't agree with no cell phones. I know it's a state law but I don't feel my child is protected. She has severe anxiety and wears headphones and listens to music, so I got her an mp3 player this year. It helps but if she needs me she has to either go to nurse or email me. Until violence in our schools is controlled, I think cell phones should be allowed! Teachers can manage cell phone usage in classrooms. Even most teachers disagree with the cell phone ban.

I was in the special needs class and the teacher for the B.A.S.E program at that time was Mr, harwell and he treated me horribly. I was constantly getting bullied and the teachers didn't even seem to care. they would not let me bring my phone to school so i can listen to music while i worked. They would not let me on my chromebook to work they made me do paper work and when i was on my chromebook they made me use a projector so they can watch what i was doing because of an incident that happened at burleson high. Moved here from SC & Ft Worth. The facility is beautiful and the counsellors have gone out of their…read moreway to get all classes in order. Being in 11th grade thought it would be harder however was amazed in the different classes they offered compared to other schools. Classes are not that large my main complaint is that in some classes the students are very disrespectful. They continue to talk to each other, etc. It is very hard at times to comprehend what the teacher is trying to teach. It has come down to the fact no matter what school you attend the teachers cannot discipline the students. The other small complaint is like all other schools the lunch room is over crowded with very little time to eat and not much food to chose from. I am looking forward to graduating from this school.

Really lived that it looked like a school and not a prison. Thought her room was small it jas no windows. Total bummer. But she fixed it up so beautifully, adding a wallpaper mural and painting one wall purple. There are no steps and the railing is only on the ends which is the length of the gym. The railing was pitiful. It came apart in several places and I almost fell down the bleachers. Ridiculous!!!
