After we explained to Dave, the technician, where we heard the noises, he went up to the attic, found raccoon poop all around, took photos for us to see to what was there. A mess. He explained that this was unusual and the raccoon must have had babies there. This was probably true because then when we checked the ceiling of the two rooms under the attic, we saw several wet spots where they urinated. He explained what needed to be done to restore the attic. All the insulation had to be removed, the attic had to be professionally cleaned, disinfected and new insulation installed. In addition, the access point where the raccoon came in had to be repaired. Dave and his assistant returned many times to accomplish all this. Also, they tightly covered all roof vents and openings with secure screening to prevent any animal from gaining access anywhere. Through the entire process Dave and his assistant were great, punctual, very thorough, courteous, and professional. They adhered to safety procedures wearing protective equipment through the process. We highly recommend Dave from Critter Control of Sarasota for dealing with any wildlife problems.

Lengthy but important if you are considering Turner…read more Turner Pest Control's 3.2 rating is unfortunately well deserved based on my experience. I've used their lawn pest service for some time, and I wish I had checked reviews before signing up. I first contacted them in March after noticing clear signs of a chinch bug infestation. I built my home 22 years ago and have dealt with chinch bugs before--I know exactly what the damage looks like. Instead of taking my concern seriously, they repeatedly insisted it was just drought stress. From March through July, I called multiple times asking them to properly investigate. When they finally came out in June, the inspection felt very superficial. They ran my irrigation for a couple of minutes, did a quick moisture test, and again concluded it was drought--even though my irrigation system had already been checked and confirmed to be working properly. Meanwhile, the damage pattern in my lawn clearly matched chinch bugs, while the rest of the yard remained healthy. The most frustrating part is that the Monday after telling me I did NOT have chinch bugs, they returned and treated the lawn for chinch bugs anyway. That alone shows how uncertain their diagnosis was. Now my lawn is in the worst condition it has been in since I built my home 22 years ago. What should have been a manageable issue was allowed to spread because they refused to listen and delayed proper treatment. When I asked them to make it right, I was met only with excuses and no accountability. Based on my experience, I would strongly caution others to think twice before using Turner Pest Control for lawn pest services.
