A few bucks for it wouldn't hurt. The car was located in Waxhaw and out of the 3-4 other junk car buyers, neither would pick up in Waxhaw. I called Pro Tow and Neil gave me a quote but let me know that its possibly someone closer who would give me more. I called the people he referred and was told I would have to wait until next month. Needed the car moved from my mother in laws home I called Neil back and informed him of what I had been told. He set up a date for pickup on Tuesday(the next day). Well in the process of a kitchen renovation I LOST the car keys. I called Neil back Tuesday to reschedule for Weds, giving myself more time to find the keys. After 24 hours of looking, I called Neil back to cancel. He said he would be at my mother in law home at 430 as scheduled and not to worry about the keys. **Thank You God!** Neil was there at 4:19(before I arrived), had already introduced himself to my mom and was in the process of loading the car. He was able to use his lock out kit so I could get some items out of the car. We had problems with loading the car bc of the steering wheel being locked and the wheels turned in one direction slightly. Throughout the hour ordeal, Neil remained patient and ensured me that he would be able to get it today. He had great conversations, told old stories which were pretty cool, and taught me a few things about loading and pulling a car with no keys. He gave me a fair price for the vehicle even without the keys which I was ready to say just take it. I would definitely recommend Pro Tow to anyone. And to add, he quoted more than anyone else and stuck by his quote.

I bought a Truck for my girlfriend from Alexander Huntington Motor Company in Lancaster on October…read more3rd this year. It cost me $10,845 which included the tax and DMV paperwork. The owner Earl V Wells told me it had been serviced by M & M in Lancaster. Just two days after the purchase the check engine light came on. The error was a transmission error, so we took the truck to Wilson's Chevrolet in Winnsboro, who informed me that a transmission low pressure warning had appeared 18 miles prior to my purchase, but had seemingly been erased. Wilson's told me it needed a new transmission and air bag computer. Estimated cost was $6,600!! We went for a second opinion at Stateline Dodge in Fort Mill who told us it didn't need new transmission but a Transmission Solenoid Pack and Air Bag Computer estimated cost $2,600. Now I will point out the transmission error meant there would suddenly be no power to accelerate from a standstill, and that any or all airbags could deploy at any time...even while driving! These combined errors made the truck I had purchased in good faith, very dangerous to drive!! I went back to the seller, he was not willing to help resolve the issue.

This is strictly about poor business practices, a lack of integrity, and a business owner who does not honor his word. My truck was towed by Color Creations after being dispatched through a law enforcement rotation. On-site, before hooking up my truck, the driver quoted me $100, stating he 'likes to help people out.' We shook on that price. However, 13 hours later--once he had my truck in his possession--the owner called and informed me the price was now $275. When I questioned the 175% increase, his excuse was that because my truck was under warranty, I would 'be reimbursed anyway.' Using a customer's warranty as a reason to triple a quoted price is predatory and unethical. I originally had no intention of posting a public review. I sent a private, professional message to the owner expressing my disappointment. Instead of making it right, the owner called me, was incredibly rude, and told me to 'go ahead' and post my reviews before hanging up on me. In a follow-up text, he doubled down, claiming that because he was on 'rotation,' I 'had no choice to refuse' him and he was under no obligation to honor the $100 price we agreed upon. This is a blatant misrepresentation of the law and the rotation system. Under S.C. Code Regs. § 38-600 and the SC Unfair Trade Practices Act, a business cannot quote one price to get the job and then demand triple once they have 'captured' the vehicle. A business is only as good as its word. If you value honesty and a man who stands by what he says, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. I will be pursuing this matter through the Lancaster Sheriff's Office and the South Carolina Department of Consumer Affairs.
