Disappointing to bad food. Average service. Good beer. Decent atmosphere. Pretzel bites were bland. No salt. No crust. Dull. Riblits were not hot. Had a powdery flavor and well not much flavor at all.

Came to this location last week with a coworker after watching an acoustic Justin Moore show at Lammle's (awesome, by the way :-). We ordered the Monday special of $5 boneless wings. I thoroughly enjoyed the ancho chipotle, although my friend found they had too much kick. She preferred her honey and garlic boneless ribs but I found them too sweet. I had a Canadian Iced tea for $7 which was a little too heavy on the ice for me in the tall glass while my friend enjoyed a $5 pint. The decor was like any other Hudson's and totally made me forget I was in a mall - thumb's up! Our waitress was friendly but could have come around a little more often. For dessert, we shares the mini donuts drizzled in maple syrup and bacon. Think savory & sweet heaven! The perfect shareable and end to a great night out! Can't complain - $40ish for two appies, 2 dtinks, and a dessert! Also, appreciation goes to the bartender who asked the crazy white guy rapping loudly in a booth with headphones on to summer down a bit :-) Oh and how could I forget? There were about 2 dozen tvs and each booth had their own! Looks like a great place to come and watch a game!

I used to visit Hudson's a lot but I haven't been in a while. They've made some changes to the menu, and I must say, The Crunchy Chicken Avocado sandwich is amazing! I'll definitely be returning for this item alone. I do, however, REALLY miss the old maple BBQ wingflavour. Bring it back!!!! Please!?!

Solid 4 stars, aspiring to 5. Interioris nice with lots of screens showing different sports events. Service was very good. All canadian burger substitutedwith bison was just excellent. Plus you can drink shots out of a hockey stick together at one time with your buddies which I heard is something canadian style :) nice experience ...

Hudson's on Bourbon Street, West Edmonton Mall

This is the newest Hudson's location in Edmonton, located in the busy eating district of West Ed. Mall, known as Bourbon Street. Seeing as I've never been too crazy about the other restaurants in this area, Hudson's Tap House is a nice Canadian addition to it. I shouldn't say it's a restaurant, it's really more of a pub. A real Canadian pub, with stuffed moose-heads hanging on the walls and everything! Okay, when I put it like that, it sounds like it might take away your appetite, but really, it's not that bad. I think it adds to the atmosphere! They've got plenty of seating, an assortment of small free-standing tables, cozy booths, and of course, the bar seating. The big bar stands right in the middle of the place, and is the first thing you see when you walk in. Everything is in this rich mahogany shade, so it doesn't look like just any pub -- it's a sleek pub. The food is yummy, and they give you these huge portions of everything, so you're definitely getting your money's worth. I had wimpy taste buds that day, so I only ordered the soup and salad (now I'm thinking, what the frick?). But the cream of broccoli was oh so good! Very creamy, not too salty. And uh, the salad was very fresh. Oy, that sounds so lame. Lucky for you guys, my friends had the sense to order something real that day. My friend had the buffalo burger (huuuge), and my bf had their super-spicy beef burger (also huuuge). Both guys were stuffed at the end of it! A tip for all you spicy tongues out there: Hudson's has a helpful scale on their menu which helps you rate how spicy you want your food. My bf is always bragging how much he can take, so he ordered the hottest one. He was sweating bullets in the end. If you want to go for their Happy Hour, it's from 4-6pm weekday nights. You can get some yummy wings and mini-cheeseburgers for $7. Mm, I'm getting hungry just writing this ... Another note: if you're short like me, you might want to consider getting a booth instead. Their individual tables are really tall, so you may have an awkward time slipping and sliding off your chair. I personally like having my feet touch the floor when I'm eating. And, you know, looking like I'm not 12 when I'm in a pub ... So I hope this was helpful to anyone considering a visit to Hudson's. As for myself, I think I'll go back and have that buffalo burger give it to my wimpy taste buds.

This is a great Hudsons. Most of them are pretty good, but I really like this one. I guess I never really focused on how Canadian Hudsons was until I went to this location. From the mahogany wood to the moose head on the wall, Hudsons is Canadian through and through. And I love it. They also have really good food - especially considering that they are a pub. But their food isn't typical pub food that comes dripping in grease, isn't cooked properly and is a tiny little portion. Hudsons does food right. Their portions are big, their food is cooked right and it tastes delicious. The servers here are pretty good too. They actually smile! Who would have thought?! It's a really great place to hang out with friends. It's got a great atmosphere and a lot of friendly people. Check it out!

Hudsons is a nice place to go and hang out with friends while having pub food and drinks. They take reservations which is great as you don't want to come with your group and find out there is no space available. Lots of options for food and drinks, nice music and plenty of screens for those who want to watch sports. I'm only taking one star because the servers are not always the most friendly ones... we know they are quite busy but I still expect them to smile and show they love their job.

Great place to drink with friends, a mate or alone. Seems like a spot that you can always make new friends or get to know the regulars.

Probably the best i had in the city. The Next Act is non descript with the decor. It does have a nice patio if you are able to snag a spot. Our server was prompt and attentive. Food came out quickly despite the full restaurant. This time I tried The Pyro with habanero cream cheese, bacon, crispy onions, jalapeños, and chipotle mayo. Hubby ordered The Critic - smoked cheddar, bacon, caramelized onions, and bbq sauce Our friend ordered The Scout - jack cheese, chimichurri, crispy onions, avocado, and roasted garlic mayo We all chose the fries as a side. It was delicous. And this time the fries were great and not soggy. My burger was delicious. If you like heat, this one is for you. Both other people at the table enjoyed their burger as well. I saw someone have the mac and cheese, and that looked delicous. However I don't think I can skip the burger and order something else.

We were luck to slide through the front door 15 minutes before the kitchen closed for the night and order a burger to go. We got the Critic with a side of poutine and scurried back to our hotel room with our secured goods. The burger was amazing and exactly what we needed. The patty was substantial with a great crust against the sweetness of the caramelized onions, all between two pillowy soft buns. The burger was also huge, as it was double the size of what you would get an the golden arches. We got back fast enough that the poutine fries were still crunchy with a curds melted into the thick gravy. So happy that The Next Act was open at our moment of need. Forever grateful.
