I had a appointment for 6pm, they never showed up, I called them and they said they were at my home early, looked at roof and came up with a price, according to size, they said it was 24,by 24 which it is not, it's 20 by 18, they then said the extra was to allow to go up the walls, I have no walls on my roof! He was quick and responsive, answered all our questions and came back on more than one occasion when storms knocked our tarping off the roof and threatened to increase our water damage. Last year we used Hudson Valley Roofers to replace our old siding and were very pleased with every aspect of the job. Randy Sr. was quick to answer our calls, attentive and professional. The job was quoted and finished in a short period of time. The workers were careful and did excellent work leaving the work area spotless. Asked for gutters to be replaced and SHAZAMM.....tomorrow? YES! Unfortunately there was not supervision and follow through with the job. Didn't show up. Called to find out what happened. Randy who gave the estimate and install schedule, had no clue. Seemed to me the job was small and unworthy of his time. Was surprised he wasn't involved with the work and he responded, "It's gutters". Maybe the job wasn't worth it at all and didn't even plan on doing it....who knows. read more

Hudson Valley Roofers did a great job. They did the work quickly, thoroughly, and held the price they quoted. They stripped our 1,500 sf roof of its shingles, repaired sheathing where necessary, installed felt, water proofing, drip edge, flashing, new shingles, and a ridge vent all in one day. Randy was very quick in returning my call to look at roof job. He was at my house on a Sunday morning, gave me a written estimate of the job and set me up a date to do the job. His crew and he showed up on the date completed the roof and cleaned up my yard as if nothing even happened. His crew was polite and efficient. Worst!! Experience ever. First never mentioned anything about permits so the roof was ripped off and also plywood then it was our responsibility to get permit took me 3 days of running around. Finally get permit and was told oh we cant come back for 3 days meanwhile we were getting massive rain. They finally show up and complete roofs after many issues and arguments then they left holes in plywood for any rodent to make home. many small things not completed and was told 3 times they would meet me to fix and never showed up now they wont answer the phone. Wouldn't recommend this company to anyone even my worst enemy. read more

Randy and his guys are great. Very responsive and helpful, true pros and I can highly recommend them. They stripped the roof down to the plywood and installed fabric, drip edges and shingles all in 1 day. Because the attic fan I ordered didn't arrive in time Randy came back and installed it a few days later. The crew moved or covered anything that could have gotten damaged and completely cleaned up afterwards. Price was definitely in line with other quotes.
