We were able to get a table for two right in front of the glass windows, which was nice. There are limited Yelp reviews about the venue, so I wasn't able to do much research on the menu and food ahead of time. I've never been to a wedding at Liberty House, so I had never stepped foot in the space before. It's very big, several different rooms and it's very bright, with floor-to-ceiling glass windows that provide beautiful views of the NYC skyline. When we were first seated, we were given brunch food menus, brunch drink menus, and the cocktail/wine menu. Five minutes later when the server came by, he took away our brunch cocktail menu and said we had to order off the main drink menu. I didn't get a chance to look at the brunch drink menu closely before he took it away. I suspect this was so they could price drinks at a premium given it was a holiday (even though the server denied that when I asked him). I had two Hugo spritzes at $15 each, which felt very pricey. My husband's espresso martini was only $14, and usually those are more. I can't find the brunch drink menu online anywhere, so I have no way to see what drinks are on it and double-check the pricing. Service was slow. Drinks took a long time to come out. To start, we shared the Caesar salad, which came out in like 60 seconds. It says it comes with pita zattar croutons; it literally had two small pita crisps. Kinda pathetic. For entrees, I had the Nutella French toast and my husband had the steak and eggs. The French toast said it had bananas, but there was no banana to be found- just strawberries and blueberries. It was tasty, though. My husband enjoyed his steak and eggs; however, for $45, I'd expect a little more meat. They also put out a complimentary bread basket to start: a couple mini muffins and some toasted, stale bread. Overall, the food was mediocre. They have a parking lot; however, make sure not to scan the QR code in the parking lot and immediately pay. Wait until you get inside the venue and scan the QR code at the host's station so it's free/validated. My husband made the mistake of paying right away, and there was no way to get our $8 back. I tried to call the venue ahead of time to ask about the parking situation, but they have a stupid bot answering the phones and it wasn't transferring me to a human. I don't know that we'll be back anytime soon. the experience was fine, but nothing I need to return for.

We walked around the outside of the building and then walked into that incredible room. We immediately knew this was it. We could instantly imagine a perfect wedding with Mackenzie and Ian getting married in front of the Statue of Liberty as the sun went down. We pictured our friends in tuxes and cool dresses raving about us having the best food and great music and the most beautiful venue and the most beautiful bride. We imagined them writing us after, saying that it was the most gorgeous, spectacular wedding that they had ever been to...that it had the best view and phenomenal food...And guess what...it all came true...everything came true. The staff, food and ambience is just the beginning. Jeff is wonderful and made it a magical experience and his kind and supportive words on the day of the wedding were so appreciated. She was a Rock Star....and we simply went along for the ride. Liberty Warehouse is PERFECTION!

Well despite attending a beautiful wedding here, our group had SEVERAL issues with the staff. First of all, it's called cocktail hour. Not cocktail 45 minutes. Not to mention they raced to put away the food before guests had a chance to get their final plates. Also, I don't think I've ever attended a cocktail hour where I was told "no" by one of the servers when asking for more than one item (seriously, they had chicken and lamb skewers, I asked for one of each and was told no). The bartenders were messing up drinks left and right, and the waiters (while friendly) made some errors as well. Our whole table was never served cake, and I think this is the first wedding I've ever attended where I actively needed to flag someone down to get a cup of coffee. In all honesty the food was very good, we just wish the staff serving it was up to the same level.

The space is stunning, the food was good, and the day itself was well organized. However, our experience with our venue coordinator Alexis seriously affected our day. Our original BEO listed cocktail hour on the 2nd floor. The morning after we signed it, Alexis agreed by text to move cocktail hour to the 3rd floor, with terrace heating on both floors. We found out hours before the wedding that cocktail hour had been set up on the 2nd floor anyway. Even with time to fix it, the venue was unwilling to change it. The fix was to add extra cocktail tables to the 3rd floor, without moving anything from the 2nd. Alexis kept insisting on the original BEO and would not acknowledge the change she had agreed to in writing. We have the text messages showing her confirmation. The captain, Mark, should also have known the plan after going over it with us at rehearsal the weekend before. We were extremely disappointed. This caused us a lot of extra stress on our wedding day and ruined the vision we had worked so hard to perfect. If the venue had simply made the effort to accommodate us, we would have been much happier. In addition, there were not the amount of cocktail hour tables set up on the balcony as we had agreed upon, so I ended up with more bud vases that I had spent money on right before the wedding after agreeing on the number of tables with Alexis. Beyond this mistake, we did not appreciate Alexis's attitude and tone when responding to our questions throughout the planning process. Planning a wedding is stressful, and she could have been much kinder and more accommodating. To future couples: make sure you triple check every change with the venue, because they forget any updates that you provide them. They forgot to update our rehearsal date as well and called to ask why we didn't show up on the original date.

These friends had each been divorced for many years and found each other...literally as next door neighbors about ten years ago. They decided it was important to them at this point to make their partnership legal and so they had a lovely wedding ceremony at City Hall and were married by the mayor of Jersey City. The reception was later held at this beautiful historic manse. Fortunately even though Covid was still in our midst things were not as bad then as they are now; the rooms were spacious and had enough room to practice appropriate social distancing. The architectural details abounded in this place. It seems to be a hidden jewel amidst the astonishing number of modern high rises that are popping up throughout Jersey City which is seeing a renaissance of sorts. It's a perfect venue for weddings, parties, music recitals and whatever you might need to rent a pretty space for. You can bring in your own caterers and bartenders as our friends did for this wedding. You are a Path subway line away from lower Manhattan. Suddenly there are quite a few reasons to venture out of Manhattan and over to Jersey City to experience. Who woulda thunk?

This is a pro/con type place. I will start by saying rates are pretty darn good for location,…read morearea, etc. We loved the location being right on the Hudson and the truly nice walks along the waterfront. Staff is friendly and property is well kept but definitely aging. Our room was comfy and sleep quality great. In fact the bed and linens were excellent and for someone who normally sleeps 6-7 who slept 9 with no interruption that's something. I was surprised at the lack of dirty clothes bag and iron/board in the room. We also returned to our room at close to 4pm after being gone the entire day to find housekeeping skipped us despite requesting daily service. Not sure if they ran into an issue with staffing that day? There is a safe along with small fridge and coffee set up. It is also worth noting self parking non existent which is fine given the area, valet only and pricing on par with most cities I have stayed in..

I was impressed by the beautiful river side views from our hotel window. The access to public transportation when needed. Walking distance to restaurants. But that wasn't enough to keep a smile on my face. Upon checking in a had to wait 30-40 mins for my room when I arrived around 5pm. (Please note check-in is around 4pm) This was a turn off because I had to be in Brooklyn for an appointment which is a 45min drive depending on traffic. Luckily I was able to get a room in time to make my appointment on time. I asked the receptionist if they offered any complimentary items for milestones birthdays and received a response they do not. We were celebrating my son turning 13 and becoming a teenager. There were 2 weddings booked during our stay and you could tell the hotel staff was overwhelmed. Ironically, it wasn't a long wait to check-in. Rooms were just not ready and had to be cleaned. I tried to give the staff grace knowing this information but things kept getting worse. When we pulled up to the hotel entrance there was an extremely long line to valet cars. Cool! No problem. It's a holiday weekend. Understandable. However, I noticed the attendants were driving people's car over the curb to get out of the drive way. It was at that very moment I knew I wasn't letting them touch my car AT ALL. Hell to the NO you would not get my keys for nothing. So we took turns off loading our stuff because of this. We took turns waiting in the car to check in and to bring our stuff up to the room. Luckily it was a parking garage within walking distance that we were able to use. When booking I made it known that we had 3 guest staying the room. However, we didn't have linen provided in the room for 3. We tried calling the front desk and guest services several times and never received a response. One person from my party tried to request linen but was told no because their name wasn't on the reservation. I was forced to go down to the lobby area to request additional linen for our room. Oh and speaking of linen the bedding had some stains on the pillow sheets and comforter. Smh like really y'all charge hella money to have stains on the sheets.....sheesh! Oh not to mention we didn't have a microwave lol this was wonderful because I wanted to reheat some food I had bought from somewhere else. During the night we overheard guests or staff arguing outside our door. It had to be 2am in the morning. This was a big disappointment as I requested a quiet room within the hotel. Granted I understand people arguing is out of the staff's control but it was just added to my dissatisfaction. The second day I decide to order breakfast to go from the buffet. Big disappointment. The pancakes were hard like reheated frozen pancake rather than freshly made pancakes. I had to ask for certain items that were not already set out. The eggs did not look appealing. So I skipped on that. I got yogurt, 2 slices of smoke salmon, some veggie dish, bacon (that was barely cooked), fruit, with 2 glasses of apple juice and coffee. This came up to $88 for 2 plates. For this price it was a total let down. Smh not worth it at all. The next day I found a local breakfast spot called Legal Grounds & Cafe that was super good and everything made fresh to order (even the apple juice was freshly squeezed) for only $40 total for 3 people. I was heartbroken knowing I paid so much for a crappy breakfast at this hotel and was able to get a better breakfast for half the price else where. When trying to check out we pulled up into the drive to let the attendant know we were just checking out to grab our belongings and didn't want to leave the keys. However, we were told we have 10mins to check-out or we would be charged. Which was rude to me. But, whatever say less. One person from my party stayed in the car while I checked out at the front desk since everything was under my name. Then I went back to the car to switch and sit while the family gathered all our belongings. So on the brighter side of things, they surprised us the second day with a box of 4 piece chocolates and 2 bottles of waters. lol I was definitely surprised in a good and bad way. Glad they had thought of us but thought wow thats it and you left out the 3rd person in my party. But, it's the thought that counts ... right? =) Any who, I spent $940 for a 2 night stay and would never stay here again. It wasn't worth every penny I spent. The only good thing about this hotel is the location and the proximity to the hudson (the views) and public transportation. You get 2 stars...one for the surprise bday gift... and one for the location. Thats it! Y'all missed the mark on everything else. This ish is overpriced, you're honestly paying for the location which is sad. =(
