Sue Sue, Teresa, AJ, and Steven did so much for our family. They ALWAYS go above and beyond. Had we not bought a house, we would still be living there. I literally sobbed when we left. We will never forget our experience at the Alexander! In addition to the great service, they have nice activities for the kids during the holidays, free breakfast by the pool weekends in the summer, and no amenity fee. In this building everything included but cable and electric. Apartments are very large roomy , tall ceilings and very beautifully finishes !!! Large windows perfect for Manhattan and river views . Bathrooms are very large and gorgeous.. 5 star service !!! Everyone always sweet and polite . We all became like a family... this building almost like a 5 star resort : gym , yoga rooms , billiard room with kitchen you can have a nice party , movie theater , indoor and outdoor pools , saunas , jacuzzis , and so much more ... No pets allowed this was important for us !!! No smelly hallways and barking. Covered parking. Every Sunday beautiful free breakfast served by the pool .. Bus to Manhattan right by ur door it takes only 20 minutes and you are in midtown . Supermarket cross the street. Trader Joe's and Whole Foods walking distance . Beautiful city view river walk pathway for a nice walk or bicycle ride . Movie theater and so many other stores short walking distance . I can't thank enough Alexander for making us very happy . The property clearly goes against the NJ Law Against Discrimination and picks and chooses the faces and employment background of all their tenants. Also called the front desk after touring the property a few months before. The woman on the phone literally scoffed at me when I asked about which two bedrooms were available and condescendingly said "they start at 4600" as if I can't afford it. Then proceeded to laugh and say "oh we don't do that here" when I asked if I could be resent an application link as I was 2 hours away and already toured the space. Also a total of 4 applications over 3 months were sent. Not one of them was actually processed as they all still say "submitted" and not declined. We pay Cedarcrest tens of thousands of dollars every year and they do very little besides sending out payment books. Main issues: -Lack of timely responses, if any at all -Changes in assigned property manager and assistants so we're always in transition mode and no one knows what's going on -Lack of continuity so I have to explain my situation to each new person -Manager is not familiar with our bylaws or real estate law which forces an -Over reliance on lawyer and that we have to pay for every query -Directors and owners are difficult to reach and lack accountability Community wide there are so many complaints. Terrible service. Inept and unfriendly staff. Organizationally, Cedarcrest seems to be a mess so that brings chaos into our community.

Their office hours and their open door policy is a great improvement over the previous mgmt. company. I just wish other residents would stop complaining and throwing blame at issues that were caused by and ignored by our previous Board and mgmt. company. With over 400 apartments, they surely have their hands full in dealing with many issues and personalities.
