So this business isn't actually "Fresh and Natural Foods" anymore, though the sign is still up. Supposedly ownership changed in Dec 2023. They no longer honor the $10 off coupons nor the loyalty cards. So why are they still reaping the benefits of the name and reputation without honoring any of the deals/perks that actually built the customer base? read more

Nice selection of meat and really good prices. They have grass fed beef , elk, naturally raised hormone free turkey and amish chicken. Just a few of those meat choices. The HBA section is a little shy on the brands they choose to carry. Close parking to storefront available and small enough store to navigate. read more

There are a limited number of places that I can go to meet my dietary and moral restrictions. Fresh and Natural carries many sustainable, organic, and fair trade items. They also have items that are gluten free and vegan. This makes it a lot easier for me to do my grocery shopping. One of my favorite things here is the selection of bulk items! I get bulk spices, loose leaf tea, and raw cashews every month. The store is well set up, in a nice location, and well kept. The employees are friendly as well. My only complaint is that it is rather pricey. read more

I have had to stop shopping here due to the poor quality of the service staff The meat is not as good as RJ and the veggies are equivalent to local grocers, but both are GAR more expensive I could live with that because it is convenient and i like to buy bulk spices and eggs However i also am a fan of havimg my purchase rung up properly. In recent months i have been charged for insurance for 2 dozen eggs when i boght only one. I have had one spice in my cart but they rang up something else. Thats ok mistakes happen. What is inexcusable is ro tell the worker that its an error which needs fixing, then have her argue with you over it. Fix your mistake. Dont complain that i mentioned it to you. They also use an antiquated card system that makes me pay for thw wrong item, followed by a reswipe, just to have you rung up properly My advice to you if you want bulk spices is to go over the river and shop at stillwater coop. Prices are similar, and its a bit inconvenient to get there, but there is better selection and FAR superior staff read more

I stop in here from time to time to pick up snacks, dinner supplies to take to my parent's house (they live near this store) or other odds and ends when I find myself in Hudson. This is a store I truly enjoy taking my time in. The atmosphere is relaxing with its wide aisles, uncluttered shelves, and pleasant lighting. You can really concentrate on reading labels without feeling rushed or that your space is being invaded by other hurried shoppers. I always spend more money than I expect to here - but that's because they carry items I cannot find at the other markets I shop. Every single time I come here, I discover a new, healthy treasure. I can't help myself when I see what my favorite health food producers have created next....I must put it in my cart! Other great features of this store include a nice bulk section, a deli featuring a sandwich counter, soups, and smoothies, interesting class offerings, and so many gluten-free products that your head will spin! read more

I buy eggs here and sone spices here and there but not much else. I understand they're a small business, which I love to support as much as possible. However when your produce is limited and everything in the store is insanely expensive (ex: $10 for a loaf of great harvest bread, which is only $5 at the farmers market or 6 at the actual GHBB store) I have to shop elsewhere. Even the sale items are marked up-$0.50 off a $4 scone at the checkout? Do you want to sell them or not? All in all it's a store made for people with more money than me! read more

Dear Fresh & Natural Foods, Thank you for existing and thank you for carrying a super sweet selection of vegan and vegetarian products. My favorite thing about you is that you carry Chicago Soy Dairy products - Teese (vegan cheese that actually melts and is delicious) and Dandies (vegan marshmallows that actually taste like mallows and also are great in s'mores). No one else is able to carry their Temptation Ice Cream for some reason, but if you could figure that out and make it happen, then I would gladly give you five stars! You have an excellent selection of vegan/veg items as well as everything I need in order to whip up some fancy vegan cupcakes or other baked goods and I sincerely thank you for that since you're just a 10 minute drive down I-94 from me! I no longer have to drive all the way to St. Paul or Minneapolis and visit multiple places in order to get what I want to fill my fridge and pantry. Keep up the great work! Oh, I love this place. They always have great deals on good produce, some even local. They also have a great specials on grocery items and their deli stuff isn't half bad. I'm glad Hudson is starting to get a bit more health and earth conscious, but whenever I'm in here, it's never busy; I hope they get a small, steady stream of a couple people at once or something, otherwise I worry how long they will make it (although they have been around for a while now). read more

Decent selection and I'm glad this store is a few blocks from my house as the natural food landscape in the St. Croix valley is sparse. Overall, this place is offensively expensive. It makes Whole Foods look like Aldi. At times there are deals to be had, but you can't charge $6 for a frozen veggie product that you can get at Target (or even the co-op) for $4.....you just need to get out of that business. Sorry, hate to spend my organic food money at any box store but good food is not cheap and you are killing me with $7 Quinoa burgers. Work on it, I want so badly to give you my money. read more

This review is only for the deli. I rarely leave reviews, but after countless bad experiences here with the deli food, I decided to write this review in hopes that management will read and make some needed changes. The deli should be the highlight in a natural foods store, example, Stillwater Co Op, the food is great and healthy. They may not have a ton of different dishes to select from, but they have mastered the recipes they do make and they consistently taste fantastic. Today I went to Fresh and Natural and I bought the roasted brussel sprouts with onions and pecans. Everything was dry and the leafy greens were burnt, lacked flavor. The deli food selection here looks both weird and sad, and has a taste to match. There are almost never any vegan hot dish selections and the cold dishes are bland with the oddest of combinations that really don't go well together. Whoever is selecting these recipes here please rethink who you are cooking for. I'd love to see a African Peanut Stew or a stir fry selection with some spice and flavor! Until then I will continue to shop here because I love your products and wonderful staff (which is primarily what your reviews on here are about) but I will have to bypass the deli section. read more

I went to Fresh and Natural at their Hudson, WI location. Smallish store, but not too tight. I went with a $50 voucher (which cost me $25) from a daily deals site. If I hadn't had that voucher, I doubt I would've shopped here. We are on a budget, nothing too modest, but about $100 a week is all I'm comfortable spending on groceries for the 2 of us. This place was way out of our budget for most things, BUT it is a great place to go to pick up a few select items. This was the only place that was not out of thyme, which I needed for my Thanksgiving turkey. Speaking of which, I also bought my turkey here. We aren't big turkey eaters, so a 25 lb bird from the local chains was way too big for us. Fresh and Natural had 10-12 lb free range turkeys which were perfect for us (especially since my recipe called for a 10-12 bird). My $50 voucher went fast, but I'd say it was worth it. For $50 (which was really only $25 for me), I got: an 11 lb turkey, about two dozen green cardamom pods (bulk), about 2 oz of garlic powder (bulk), 1 oz arrowroot powder (bulk), a small bag of raspberry yogurt pretzels, a medium sized bag of dark chocolate covered pretzels, a large jar of dill pickles, a 16 oz bottle of kombucha (asian pear ... kind of sweet, but wonderfully fizzy), fresh organic thyme and rosemary and a pound of 100% grass fed beef. I think that's everything. As for the beef ... wow. They had a TON of free samples on the day (Saturday, Nov 20th) I went. Not sure if that was typical, but I got to try a ton of things I normally wouldn't buy on my own ... including 100% grass fed beef. Never had it before, didn't think it'd be anything special, especially starting at $6/lb. I tried a sample of this beef, and it was easily the best beef I've had in my entire life. I asked what it was seasoned with - it was SO flavorful - and the woman providing samples said "sea salt". That's it. Nothing else. I couldn't believe it. I even asked for a second sample - it was THAT good. We picked up a vacuum pack of the beef, and I'm planning to make burgers from it today. Might not even put it on a bun ... So all in all, it was a nice trip. Would I buy my weekly groceries there? No, probably not. If I had the money to do so, I might consider going weekly for a few things, such as the beef. Also, they seem to be a haven for gluten free shopping. I have no sensitivities myself, but in case anyone is looking for gluten free anything, I think you could find it here. Cashiers were quite friendly and weren't clumsy about my daily deals voucher. A good place, but for me, for now, a novelty store. read more
