Hands down, Kramarczuk's has the best food in Minneapolis! An old, Eastern European restaurant…read morewith a separate bakery attached to it. Has an iconic 50's vibe where wood paneling and booths are king. You order from the counter, pay at the cashier and find a table to consume delicacies made for kings. The Polish Pierogies are amazing a stuff full of meat and tender beyond belief. The Hungarian Goulash is amazing with tasty chunks of beef that is both tender and flavorful coupled with veggies that melt in your mouth. The Cabbage rolls are also very hefty and packed full of flavor. The only complaint (not really) is the huge amount of choices readily available for diners. Making decisions and controlling oneself will prove very difficult. The bakery is heavenly with fruit filled Danishes that caress the taste buds. The highlight is the Napoleanka Custard cake/pie which is one of the best tasting desserts known in history! The flaky crust coupled by the enormous amount of custard filling makes this an impossible item to resist. Kramarczuk's is a staple and cannot be missed!

This is a Minneapolis institution. It's taken me so long to finally give this a try! Situated in…read moreHennepin but they have their own parking lot or metered parking. First part of the building is a deli/market. The dining area is a cafeteria style where you grab a tray and go down the line. I recommend reviewing the menu before hand because there's so many options. We ordered the pastrami brisket (Reuben style), a Ukrainian sausage, a kale salad, sauerkraut, one meat peroigi, and meat/tomato cabbage roll. The pastrami was so tender and flavorful. Nice and warm on toas ted rye. The sausage had a great snap and great flavor. The peroigi was underwhelming for us. Just ok. Kale salad and sauerkraut were good. My favorite was the cabbage roll. A little sweet from the cabbage, tangy from the tomato sauce, and savory and comforting. Drinks are self serve.

When in StPaul always make one or 2 trips to my favorite Deli…read more Best Sandwiches, Reuben and more The Breads..... OMG....always buy Caraway Rye Bread or one of the great loaves. They have old Europe food products that are hard to find, Spaetzli, mustards, etc. do good Everyone is so lovely and efficient, You make me Happy 3 months before I plan on the day to be in MN, I told the owners he needs to open one in Nashville Thank you for being authentic and nice

Maybe we got the B squad? Cause I don't get all the glowing reviews. Maybe it's just nostalgia…read morefor what clearly used to be an authentically good Jewish deli but has since stopped trying. All four orders came out wrong. Two were still wrong on the second try but we just gave in and ate. One sandwich had, I kid you not, a single sad slice of pastrami. There were multiple servers and many open tables, but the women at the front wasn't seating anyone and kept walking away from the register so there was also a long line waiting to pay. The food itself was ok, the highlight was the fresh rye bread. The pastrami and corned beef are alright but portions were very skimpy for a $20 sandwich and one of us only got a single slice of pastrami, wtf?! Also, so many people praise the matzo ball soup but maybe they've never actually eaten it before? Cause where I'm from you don't just drop a couple dense matzo balls in your basic chicken and vegetable soup and call it a day.
