My husband and I stopped by the Huddle House in St. Paul's, NC today around 2:15 pm. (01-23-25) We will NOT return! My Western Breakfast Bowl was adorned with a sauce that actually burned my eyes prior to even tasting it. Very few green peppers and onions were visible. I tasted a small amount of the sauce and asked for something else. The hash browns were hard, overcooked and tasteless. I agreed to another Western Breakfast Bowl minus the sauce and spicy cheese but when it arrived, the meat in the bowl tasted horrible! I didn't eat this one either. My husband asked the waitress where our biscuits were. Her response was "biscuits??!" She left and returned five minutes later with two small plates, each with a cold (and I do mean cold) and hard biscuit! We tried one bite and informed her that we were not going to eat them AND why. She responded that she had no way of knowing when the biscuits were prepared. She then walked behind the counter talking about our dissatisfaction with the food, first to the cook and next to another female employee. We can both see AND hear! She gave us a 20% off coupon for the next visit. We left it on the table. Our bill was $27 and my husband left a $3 tip which she didn't deserve. Our table was left with uneaten food. In closing, the service was substandard and the waitress was unprofessional. Tried to have a quick breakfast on sat 24 Sep @1000. and this was a disaster! the food was cold and nasty and the cook could not cook a order of eggs to save her life. i watched her start cooking eggs 4 times. maybe she needs new pans or maybe she just needs training. Just because you cook for your family doesn't mean you can cook in a diner. I ordered the new Eggs benedict and the food was server to me COLD and NASTY and looked nothing like the picture in the menu! My wife was server her food it was also cold and nasty and the over easy eggs never showed up. I do not know if this is an issue with new owners new staff or just that the staff doesn't care, however what ever it is it will be a long time before we come back to this disaster and health violation waiting to happen read more

Here come 5 stars. Everyone knows it comes down to the cook and the service, the cook made some of the best food out there. On the service we got to meet with the manger. I don't know about this last review but the manager had the wall's shining and the floors squeaking. He had all staff on their duty's and we got our food on time. I wish this place was a dump but these guys know what they are doing when they cook food. It's fun and good you can't beat any restaurant on 95 come here! read more

Passing through and we were starving. Decided to stop here and what a waste of money and time. The tables weren't even being cleared when we walked in. Menus were dirty and our waitress was horrible. She didn't even speak loud enough for us to understand anything she was saying. We didn't even get enough place settings And I never even got my water. Then the food took forever to come. Portions were small on my daughter's platter, bacon tasted like it was fried in old grease. My grits were too thick and clumpy. There was hair on my daughter's French Toast plate. The only reason they got two stars is because the Butter Pecan Pancake was good. But we should of just stopped at " Waffle House " a few exits before. Questions we asked while waiting for our food: How are the fries now that they've been salted? "Definitely not the worst..." The fries tasted like "bland crunch" The fried pickles are weird, and kinda not fried and undercooked. The fried cheese sticks were decent but the Heinz marinara sauce was... Weird And the tater tots tasted like feet. When I was there there were puddles of murky water where the servers were picking up the food, and across half the restaurant. Overall, weird experience. Great story, had a laugh at how bad it was, not so great food. Interesting views. read more

This place is terrible. Absolutely awful service from rude, slow waitresses who have no concept of what it means to serve people. They messed up my wife's order and then didn't believe her that when it was pointed out and the waitress loudly yelled to the cook to confirm that he had forgot it before she would remove the charge from the bill. This place also no longer accepts huddle house text promo codes, surveys or coupons which they don't tell you until after you order. If you are bringing children do not go in the evening as the St. Pauls huddle house is right next to a truck parking area on I-95 and the "working girls" come in to use the ladies room frequently then go back outside to work. It's disgusting and the owner/manager are well aware of it but just sit there and watch the ladies come and go. The service has always been poor but tonight was the final straw and I will never be back. read more

If If you are on 95 on in Saint Pauls NC this is not a place you want to eat. Stay on the highway and there are better ones in Lumberton. Went to breakfast there on sat sep 24 2022 at 1000 am and the cook could not make eggs and the facility was disappointing and disgusting and dirty. Dishes were piled on the counter, and the food was served cold and nasty. I have had better food out of a can while I was deployed in Iraq. This used to be a nice fast and reliable diner to eat at but roll the dice and see if you like it. You have been warned. read more

Stopped at this little diner on the way home from myrtle beach. Regretting even reading the highway sign for it. Upon arrival I see the parking lot is littered with garbage; the inside isn't much better with the grungy floors being the first thing you see. There are flies everywhere and the employees are mediocre. The cook has one speed and it's slowww. He's clearly here getting paid by the hour just running out the clock. Wish I could give it no stars. We walked into the place with 5 dirty tables, one waitress and 2 cooks. This place is set up like Waffle House, the grill is behind the counter. One cook rolled her eyes when we walked in (all employees black, we're white), the other cook said to sit at a dirty table, it'll be cleaned. The waitress and the eyeroller disappeared for at least 10 minutes. Finally, the one cook came out and started slowly cleaning OTHER tables. She got 3 cleaned, then a handsome black man came in and sat at a dirty table. His table was promptly cleaned and coffee served. This after we waited 20 minutes, our table still dirty. I hate to leave this review but I felt a need to. Up on entering this establishment I thought I had walked into a whites only restaurant. The customers as well as the employees looked at us as if we weren't suppose to be there. Just got here but not a good start. Bathroom smells. My wife had silverware at her seat but when I asked for some for myself I got plastic take out. Mushroom Swiss burger was good but when I asked for ketchup for my burger and fries I was given 1 oz, repeat, 1 oz. add a penny to your menu items and put ketchup on the table. Stopped in for a bite to eat was rudely greeted at the door by staff telling me the grill is down. I ask "what do you serve?" And staff rudely exclaims "if you want water or coffee I can help you, otherwise that's it." Then I drive around leaving huddle house and two employees are sitting in the storage shed smoking. Looking for something off of I-95 different than typical fast food fare, we decided to try Huddle House. The boys had waffles and French toast and the adults had grilled chicken salads/platters. The food was great and came out quickly. Our server, Jasmine, was very sweet and attentive. We certainly will come back when we pass through again. read more

I have to give it one star in order to add a comment. This is the second time going with my wife there that service has been the worse ever. Today there were employees standing around doing nothing and we were standing next to a table that needed cleaning. A waitress went to a table in front of me and never once acknowledged us . Food was good and hot. Waitress was a really HONEY as she would eefer to everyone.. a true Flo. The grill cook however coould only cook one of five orders at a time so every one got served in sequence but all within four minutes of each other. They had 3 bkfst selections for 3.99 (not shown on menu) and we order 3 of the five plates as specials.. they were all good and large portions. Cant beet that value. If the griller could send all dishes at once they would have earned a five star instead of four. No small acommplishment for a Huddle House. We would go again.
