So I was in the area on a Saturday morning at about 11 o'clock.. I was alone so I sat at the bar and quickly was able to order my meal. I came in at the same time as another couple who was sat at a booth. 30 minutes later, the couple was nearly done eating, and I was still sitting there sipping on my tea. I can see all the tickets hanging above the grill and did not see one that resembled my order. I asked about it and they said they were going to get it right away. Order after order, I watched as others were completed, and mine still was not. Clearly, my meal was not a priority. I was very patient and asked if I can just pay for my tea. They charged me for my tea and let me be on my way. There was no apologies at any point. They simply let me walk away without a meal. I love to support local businesses and though I live 30 minutes away, I frequent the area quite often. I really wanted to like this place since I really love breakfast. I am often in positions where I need to recommend local places, unfortunately, I will not be recommending this one. read more

Wonderful waitresses, great food, horrible experience went there a few days ago while visiting town and the service from the woman with the head rag was awful. She argued with her waitresses the whole time we were there. My waitress apologized constantly after bringing our food out. Our sides were out before the rest of the food. Thinking it was coming not long after the sides we didn't say anything. Half of us got our food while the other half had to wait at least 10 minutes because the cook was busy arguing with everyone. No one had on name tags so I don't their names exactly but when the cook called out orders were sure we heard lita or liyah and cee. One had piercings and the other had curly hair I prey those girls have a strong mind frame to constantly deal with her rudeness. There aren't many choices for breakfast in Monticello, so we ended up eating here both mornings that I was in town for my visit. Huddle House is much like the waffle people with the layout and design of the place. A counter that faces into the grill area. A couple of booths. But they do have a much wider variety on their menu than the others. Steak tips. Fried chicken. Stuff like that. We were here for breakfast so we stuck with breakfast items. I had an omelet with toast and has browns. My daughter had fried eggs and toast and hash browns the first morning and the loaded hash browns the next. The food is okay. Greasy, but okay. Service was friendly and mostly quick. Nothing out of the ordinary but acceptable. Too many tables are dirty until someone wants to sit at them and the floor could use a good sweep. If there's somewhere else to get breakfast in Monticello, I couldn't find it. read more

Pass on it. The owner told the staff to no longer accept any coupons or discounts any longer. No app rewards, senior citizen, military, or first responder discounts, no coupons. Owner said he was a private owner and under no obligation to participate in franchise discounts. No reflection on the staff which consisted of one cook and one new waitress. The were overwhelmed as you could imagine. I confirmed this with the manager over the phone. Lots of other places to spend your money that will appreciate your patronage. read more

I ordered a appetizer (the sampler) and got only the jalapeño poppers and that was after we already ate .also they tried to charge us for the whole sampler. Quit going because it was bad but decided to give the new management a chance. Nothing has changed, they rarely have what you ask for and even if they do, you don't get what you ordered. Tried calling to order over the phone, but unless you pay with a card over the phone, they won't take your order, so I drove up to the restaurant. Originally ordered a turkey sandwich -out of turkey, asked for chicken tenders -out of chicken. So, I ordered a waffle, got pancakes, ordered hash browns and ended up with fried eggs. We had a horribly rude, completely disinterested server who barely spoke and were served slimy, discolored salad.
