You can't go wrong with anything. Jim's cafe has been in business for 90 years and everything on the menu is homemade.

    Best sign ever.

Jim's is the quintessential small town diner, a perfect fit for a trip through the Mississippi Delta. It looks like nothing's changed in fifty years, right down to the male hen party at the big table in the back, and I don't have a problem with that. We got scrambled eggs, bacon, hash browns, grits, and biscuits and gravy. The only thing that wasn't top notch was the gravy, which was on the thin side and tasted more like milk than sausage drippings. But the biscuits are obviously home made, and the hash browns are really crispy and delicious. I asked for hot sauce, and the waitress asked "Do you want bottled or my own?" "Oh, yours" I answered, and boy was I glad! It's thicker than bottled sauce, a little smoky, a little sweet, and I walked out with a big bottle, adorably packaged in a repurposed wine bottle, of my own. I read in a review that they make their own jam, too, and I was kicking myself for not asking for some. I think our waitress was also an owner; she was very sweet and delighted we liked her sauce so much. Eating here is like stepping back to a simpler time, and I will definitely return when my KC-to-New Orleans trips take me through Greenville.

Made a wrong turn and spotted this Cafe . I love hamburgers and have tried them all over the southern U.S. and they have the best hamburger I've ever eaten ! I highly recommend this place ! Go talk to the Burger King and tell him you want a dirty burger! You want be sorry!

Located by the Mississippi River in the cute historic district - this is a must see restaurant. Full of photos of movie stars and memorabilia. Their food is really good too. Ask for the homemade salsa and homemade jam. Made from fresh local produce.

When I asked for the best breakfast place in town to two locals they both immediately said Jim's Cafe. Places like this are what makes the Mississippi Delta a destination location to see and eat. Greenville is just a shadow of what it once was. Businesses and people come and go Jim's Cafe weathered the storm. I had bacon biscuits and they were awesome. Handmade biscuits with crispy bacon. One more superb spot. Head to Greenville. See and eat Mississippi.

If your vehicle can handle the streets, head downtown for home cooking. Great plate lunches! Local crowd.

The food was good. The homemade hot sauce was amazing! They were out of many things on the menu and did not appear to be well stocked.

Here for first time. Came in and no one was at front counter. Finally a young lady appeared and I…read moresaid hi but she looked at me and walked away. Didn't feel acknowledged. Restaurant empty probably because it wasn't dinner time yet. A lady who seemed to be her mom came and was friendly. I wanted an ice coffee. My companion wanted a regular hot coffee. She stated that she'd have to make a new batch since the existing coffee was old from this morning. That was thoughtful. While waiting, I looked at all certificates from health inspections, etc. On wall near front door. All looked expired. One expired last year and others were at least 2 to 3 years old I believe. This had me concerned and nervous. We got the coffee. Please note they don't have any specialty espresso in case you're a coffee fan. My companion says the coffee was very watery. So I never drank mine unfortunately over concerns listed above. There are no cafes in town that I know of with good coffee. I wanted to leave and get money back but I didn't want to be rude. Also I noticed the young lady putting ice with a bucket into the top of the soda machine. She compounded it down with the side of the bucket. I'm not sure how clean that method is. Maybe it would be better to use gloves and do it by hand to spread put the ice once you pour it? Just suggesting. I'm not sure how the food is since we only bought coffee.
