service was awful. food was okay. will not come back here. red head was rude and acted like she wanted to do anything but wait our table. was snappy with elderly people when they didn't move fast or hear her the first time. only checked on us twice. our food sat under the warmer for about 10 minutes. pizza dough wasn't cooked all the way. shrimp dip was disgusting. proportions were wack. I was excited about this restaurant because everyone raves about it but was disappointed. I won't ever be back.

Not happy with dinner (although lunch is on point). Normally I eat lunch here once every 2 weeks or so and it is probably the best option in town. However, we went to dinner here last Saturday night and it was subpar. Good things first: service and atmosphere were both excellent. Tempura fried cheese appetizer is awesome. Goat cheese drowned in local Bolivar honey - must try. Loaded potato soup - always on point. Spicy Bird sandwich - also always solid. Negatives: mozzarella sticks had no cheese in them (just fried empty batter). I mentioned this to our server after the meal and she said that this was not the first complaint and she will say something to the kitchen. Grilled gulf shrimp - these were not very grilled (I expected blackened), but they seemed to be warmed up somehow and were kind of juicy/watery. Also, they were extremely small sized, especially when paying $18 for 8 of them. They were also out of gumbo, which was disappointing to my girlfriend, but it also was near the end of the night. Would not order mozzarella sticks or shrimp again, and hesitant to pay this much for another entrée not knowing what type of quality I will get. Going to stick to lunch here.

Atmosphere was fantastic but I like historic buildings. Service was good and meal was good. Check restaurant hours before going.

The Experience: They ran a little behind schedule, and the service felt a bit rushed and impersonal once they arrived. Sauces and condiments weren't automatically offered -- I had to ask. The order flow could use some work as well; tickets weren't being honored in sequence, which meant one of my coworkers waited nearly an hour for her food. We waited on her before eating, so everything was lukewarm by the time we dug in -- which probably didn't do the food any favors. The Food: The crawfish bites and shrimp didn't quite hit the mark for me -- they tasted a little closer to store-bought than made-from-scratch. The fries were just okay, and the wings were nothing to write home about. That said, several folks in our group enjoyed the fish, so that may be the safer bet if you visit. The Star of the Show: The 122 sauce -- now that was something special. Flavorful, bold, with the most delightful little pepper bits throughout. Honestly, they should put that sauce front and center and let it do the talking. It's the kind of thing that could make you a loyal customer. With some improvements to timing, service, and consistency, 122 could really shine. I hope they keep refining -- that sauce alone tells me the potential is there. I'm glad it was a beautiful day for the long wait.

Doe's, you were everything I'd hoped you would be…read more I love me some Doe's Eat Place. I have been to locations in Biloxi, Baton Rouge, and Monroe. Hell, I go to Doe's in Monroe every single time I am in Monroe. When I would profess my love for Doe's to my Mississippi friends they would always tell me: "you have to go to the Greenville location. It's the original". I figured they were right but also figured I would never be in Greenville since there are not many things to do there. But 2025 was the year that I finally made it here. We made a special stop on the way to Eureka Springs. It was everything I had hoped and I absolutely loved it. You must know that this is the original location and it is not fancy on the outside or the inside. Parking is mostly on the street and the neighborhood seems a wee bit sketchy. The building looks like an old house from the outside. Needless to say, the kids were skeptical and wondered why their dad drug them here. That continued when we walked in to the kitchen, walked through the other kitchen, and were seated in one of the rooms. One of the kids said: "I feel like I am dining at someone's house". Exactly. This place is famous! All skepticism was washed away when we got our food. A ribeye and fries for me and a fillet and fries for them to share. Both were perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and made this Doe's fan grin from ear to ear. It was a great meal I will remember forever. Was it cheap? Definitely not. For two entrees, a beer, and a tea, it was around $200 with a tip. Was it worth it to me? Hell yes. I freakin loved it. Is it worth a drive from New Orleans just to eat here? Probably not. Should you divert a road trip to eat here? Absolutely. By the way, service was exactly as you would expect. Super friendly and we were treated like regulars despite it being our first time. Also, there was a cop working outside so don't be scared.

I dreamt of the Pork Chop we had last year, for the whole year, till I could get back here again & have it again for me Birthday.. and again, it was so freakin Amazeballs. Everything was cooked perfectly. Nailed both pork chops. The Lafitte sauce is so delicious, just get it on everything, that's my advice haha :)... The tuna tartare was also so Amazeballs we had to order one to go. We also ordered the Fettuccine with the Lafitte sauce with chicken to go, ohmygosh hubby & I fought over that next day at brunch! :).. The cheesy grits are a must order. Not your average grits. The grind is a much heartier grind. The quality & texture is superb. And topped with their "Lafitte sauce" AKA crawfish cream sauce ohmygosh. Heavenly :)... Reservations are a must. Beautiful vintage space. Bar area is very nice. Service is great. Southern hospitality at its finest. Very Romantic restaurant. The Casablanca Booth at NOLA, is moi booth. Not quite as knowledgeable about the menu as we would like but that's not a dealbreaker. Mike had the Saint Charles shrimp. It was incredible. Those grit cakes were the best I've ever had. The Lafitte sauce is so good. I had the Lafitte pasta with blackened and shrimp. I highly recommend the blackened shrimp. They were top-notch. The fettuccine was cooked perfectly al dente. The sauce has a nice smoky flavor. The house fries were tasty, but could've been a bit hotter. The rolls were nice and warm and served with real butter. Real butter is always a bonus. The homemade ranch with a side salad was really good. I noticed a couple of people mentioned the prices on the menu. This is quality, fresh seafood, it's worth paying a little extra for. Sadly, the server brought the check with without asking if we wanted dessert. I had debated on the King cake bread pudding, but she settled that for me. We would definitely go and do recommend Nola Sidenote, when we walked in the door, we were greeted by a beautiful young lady, with very bright pink hair. She was so friendly and polite, we were a bit disappointed that we did not get her as our server.
