I told him I would not argue over his price, my only stipulation was how much I got for my trade. I sent him videos and photos of my trade, along with the VIN. I said I would be more than fair on my asking price. After he seen my vehicle, he agreed my price was fair, he also agreed to give me that price. I told him I could not make it in until Saturday morning. He said "well there's two days before Saturday, I could sell it before then." I asked if there was any other interest in the vehicle, he said no. I offered to pay a $5,000 deposit over the phone, non refundable of course. He said no. I offered to bank wire transfer to full asking price. He said no. He kept coming up with excuses NOT to sell me the vehicle. I asked to speak with the owner. He said he was not gonna allow me to speak with him. At that point, I said the situation felt shady. He lost his mind at that point and became extremely rude. That was when I said I think I'll be better off shopping elsewhere. The entire conversation I was calm and respectful. Tony absolutely was not. I've noticed a trend from Mike the owner replying to reviews. If you read any, you'll agree. I'd advise maybe having a discussion with Tony on how he handles customers. No, I am not telling you (Mike)how to run your business. I've noticed that's your go to. I wish you and Tony the best in life. I hope he gets the help that's needed.     Dishonest. Bait and switch. Avoid! Responded to email…read moresolicitation for Travers to by my vehicle. Received confirmation in writing (text message from sales rep who I spoke to on the phone also) of a range for value of the vehicle pending their inspection. It unfortunately lost a $10 relay in their parking lot during inspection causing a temporary starting issue but that was promptly addressed and the vehicle subsequently ran great. They made a final-offer $1800 below the low end of the range *committed in writing* (text message) but couldn't tell me anything wrong with the vehicle and would not honor their commitment. This was a 1.5 hour drive each way. Don't waste your time and effort on a dealership that practices dishonest sales like this.

After the negotiations we bought our 2018 Jeep Wrangler from them. The vehicle had 15,000 miles on it when we bought it. The salesman told us it had the balance of the manufacture warranty on it so what could go wrong. We started having an issue with the Jeep so we took it in to Lou Fusz and had them look it it. We were told that the vehicle was bought out of Canada and had NO warranty on it. I repeat NO warranty on it. I should have went with my gut but I didn't. So I have a vehicle with no warranty on it. Avoid this place. They will do anything and say anything. Very disappointed.

But the fact that they will fraudulently pass inspections is another level of insane. I searched for cars for months, looking for the perfect combo of low miles and decent price. I came across a ton with super high miles and I was trying to stay under $8000. This was my 16 year old daughters first car. It is a single family household so getting something for her fell all on my lap. So I wanted to get her something that would last. I found this PT Cruiser, it had under 20k miles and was right at the $8000 mark. I felt that at the very least, the car was a garage car that was lightly used and would need items replaced that were just old. That was ok with me. The customer service was great, I had my own financing. They brought the car too me and to get paper signed. Mike the GM did this himself. I thought it was a nice touch! This was in November 2022. My daughter started having issues almost immediately with the car. Burning smells, brake lights coming on (after 7 weeks) , heat not working, clunking. I had someone do a quick check over the car when I first got it, but after a month or so of issues, I took it to the shop. I was faced with $3700 worth of repairs. $2600 of which were ALL SAFETY issues! The shop let me know that the car could never have passed inspection and someone surely turned the other way when passing it. The struts were also blown, this was a $1100 repair, and I ended up having them do work for both the safety issues and the struts. I titled and registered a car that had a fraudulent safety inspection. I contacted the dealer, I spoke to Mike a few times. He tells me Midas does their inspections and I let him know there is no way it could pass. The list was extensive and were mainly brake issues. He keeps pushing me off saying he will look into it. Asked for my paperwork from the mechanic and I sent that. He will not respond to emails. Will not return phone calls. He is now dodging me. I told him I would give him time to resolve this and reimburse me for some of the cost, specifically the safety issues that should have been addressed prior to selling the car and that I will assume the cost of the struts. Now, I have to report them to DOR, MO Highway Patrol and a few other agencies that investigate inspection fraud. I also have to see my options with a Consumer Protection Attorney. The part that bothers me the most is I told them this was for my teen daughter. My baby could have been seriously harmed over safety issues. She has transported her 3 year old sister to school on several occasions. I can not imagine if something would have happened to them both because they sold me a car with a list of safety issues. I have attached a copy of the document from my mechanic showing highlights of the safety issues.

We requested the inspection/maintenance report to make sure there were no issues. We were told it would be sent to us later that day, so we could complete the purchase. In multiple calls and texts, we were given numerous different excuses for the delay. After following-up again the next day, we were abruptly told our deposit was being refunded with no explanation. Even more concerning--the car was relisted shortly after at a higher price. That raises serious questions about transparency and integrity. A general manager was supposed to contact us about this situation as they admitted "none of this should have happened." Instead a receptionist offered a $50 gift card in exchange for not posting a negative review--which only added to the frustration. We were ready to buy the car. This fell apart solely due to their poor communication and lack of follow-through. The only bright spot was the kindness of the cashier and front desk staff who helped process the refund. Overall, a very unprofessional experience that completely changed our perception of the Napleton dealership

I purchased a used vehicle and fully understood it wouldn't be in perfect condition. However, once I arrived home and it got dark, I quickly noticed one of the headlights and taillights were out. I'm not even sure how it legally passed inspection to be sold. I brought the vehicle back and after a lot of back and forth, they finally agreed to replace the lights. After a long wait, I picked it up only to notice the headlights did not match and one of the taillights already had water in it. I looked at the receipt and it said the lights were replaced with "Amazon parts" -- not factory parts. They replaced them again, and now they are fine, but this never should have happened in the first place. This was all after I called ahead asking for more for my trade-in and was told they would give me more. Once I arrived to sign paperwork, they said the "other manager who approved it wasn't there," so they would not honor the higher amount. Financing also lied about the extended warranty. I did not want it, but Alex gave the typical finance speech of "it could break down tomorrow." I still refused, and he said we could cancel it within 30 days and my payments would go down. So, I agreed. That information was false. The warranty amount goes to the lender but does not reduce your monthly payment. Then I went to Century Dodge, and the exact same warranty from the exact same company was half the price. They also only submitted my loan application to one bank, even though I requested it be sent to Ally as well. They never applied to any other banks. All of this to say: within 60 days of owning the vehicle, I refinanced, got a lower interest rate, and a cheaper extended warranty -- and I am now saving $105 per month. Do not go here. I will forever use Century Dodge in Wentzville.
