This year I could see the inside of the trees looked dead.... I check every tree on the lot. I am very particular about my tree. They all looked dead inside. My only thought was, maybe we didn't have that much rain this year. No I do not believe that was the case. I believe these trees were cut long ago! The tree has no smell what so ever and when I brought it in to the house, it has not sucked up 1 ounce of water. It has been in my house for a week now and I have added no water to the stand! That is wrong and not the sign of a tree that was still fresh. I am soooo disappointed in Olmsted. I save all year so that I can buy a freshly cut tree that I can enjoy for my Christmas holiday. They have large machines to string them for easy transport. Free hot chocolate and mini candy canes. I sometimes wish they sold more Christmas items to browse, but they do have wreaths and mini trees for $15. Got one for the treehouse! It's adorable. On our way out we saw a family Christmas tailgating (had their hot cocoa, charcuterie and Mom with wine in hand) Love it! Great photo opportunities.

Our 6 foot Frazier Fir cost us only $40 when Carnation tree farm was charging us $58-$60. The Ronnei tree farm is a no BS cut what you want tree farm which made picking a tree so much easier than at Carnation tree farm. I highly recommend coming to Ronnei Tree Farm if you want to experience cutting your own tree.

I've stopped into Rodgers Country Nursery quite a few times over the last two years. It's a smaller…read morenursery a bit off the beaten path between Silverdale and Bremerton but they do have a decent selection of fruit trees, shrubs and quality soil amendments so I always make a point of stopping in when driving by just in case something catches my eye. Last season I snagged two large trees (just saplings at the time) in their clearance corner. This year I've stopped in two or three more times shopping for annuals but when a decent supply never seemed to materialize I ended up purchasing elsewhere. That being said I did grab a few new shrubs that I'm quite pleased with so I'm still glad I went. Make sure to ask about their punch card and it's certainly worth a stop if you're in the area.
