All staff members were adhering to the State mandates-they had saws to borrow if you chose to cut your tree down yourself, and had an area to placed saws to be disinfected. Same was true for the pens when signing credit slips. They charged $5 if you wanted the tree to be wrapped prior to loading on your vehicle.

I will always be so happy that our local tree farms were closed that day because this is now going to be the place we go for our trees. This farm is neat, orderly and obviously loved by the family that owns it. Their prices are reasonable, and the trees are the healthiest trees I have seen in many years. Last year we went to four different farms and couldn't find a healthy one for anything, but every single tree we looked at on this farm was gorgeous! Not a brown branch on any of them! When we were done finding our tree, we headed back to the barn to pay for it, and took some time to look at the treasures inside. They sell wreathes, swags, greenery and beautiful ornaments. Also for sale are apples, potatoes and honey! Outside is a great fire pit so you can sit and warm up, sip some hot cider and visit with anyone else who is hanging around enjoying the moment. I can't say enough positive things about our experience this year and can guarantee it won't be our last visit.

After leaving the Carnation tree farm disappointed we decided to checkout Ronnei which was 6 miles north of downtown caranation. We were blown away. Our 6 foot Frazier Fir cost us only $40 when Carnation tree farm was charging us $58-$60. The Ronnei tree farm is a no BS cut what you want tree farm which made picking a tree so much easier than at Carnation tree farm. I highly recommend coming to Ronnei Tree Farm if you want to experience cutting your own tree.

I've stopped into Rodgers Country Nursery quite a few times over the last two years. It's a smaller…read morenursery a bit off the beaten path between Silverdale and Bremerton but they do have a decent selection of fruit trees, shrubs and quality soil amendments so I always make a point of stopping in when driving by just in case something catches my eye. Last season I snagged two large trees (just saplings at the time) in their clearance corner. This year I've stopped in two or three more times shopping for annuals but when a decent supply never seemed to materialize I ended up purchasing elsewhere. That being said I did grab a few new shrubs that I'm quite pleased with so I'm still glad I went. Make sure to ask about their punch card and it's certainly worth a stop if you're in the area.
