The place itself is apparently Morrocan themed, and has assorted furniture including a bed, several comfy sofas (especially upstairs), a footabll table, a table tennis table, and of course, tables and chairs and booths - and a big screen TV which is often tuned to hit movies such as Top Gun! If you're around in the winter, try their mulled wine - delicious.

Luckily we were sat right under the specials board from that I instantly chose the fried haggis and then a ox cheek dish to follow. I also decided to sample a fire side cocktail which packed a punch of tequila. The fried haggis was sublime with it poached egg and was the perfect amount for a starter. Cream spinach was ordered to accompany my ox cheeks which turned out to be so tender! However it was so rich with the red wine sauce and mash that i struggled to finish. To complete the meal I opened the gin menu which was extensive. My friend had one that changed colour where I got a sake based one. Each one was carefully presented with delicate fruits .. I waited about a half hour between finishing my entree and getting my bill. I heard others being asked if they wanted dessert, and I might have been interested in that (which speaks to how non-full I felt after my meal), but I was ignored for too long. That was annoying, but they've got a vibe here that makes it a pleasant place to hang out. Great location on the Wharf. Worth checking out, especially if coming in just for drinks on the pub side.

It is not a complicated drink so don't understand why they would say that unless they don't want you watching when they put it together. It has TWO ingredients?! Secondly when it came I was confused because I only got about half a glass of sparkling wine - could have had Chambord added or could have been rose sparkling wine. Who knows. We paid £9 for half a glass of wine which, as I said above, was a rip-off and certainly NOT worth £9. I won't be going back. Ever - you are paying over the odds for the view. I can have the view anytime I want and I don't need to ever pay £9 for half a glass of wine.

Might not be for everybody though. Seafood platter & Steak'n'fries as mains. Mussels, clams, shrimp, lobster legs and scallops in the platter. For the price it definitely could have been a bigger load. Was fresh enough, but we've had way better tasting seafood at other places. The steak was ok. Not a prime cut, but the flavour was fine. Fine. Not more. Fries were good though. Had a bottle of white wine with that. Nice, cold, crisp. The views with the sun shining in are pretty nice here. Not right at the beach, but nice. Staff was friendly and helpful. The chairs/benches were a bit tough and it got uncomfortable after a while. But it's a dog-friendly place. That's a plus. Paid in the end around 120£ for everything. Not exactly cheap. And way too much for what we got in return. Food was really average at best. An ok dinner, but not more. Once was ok to try. But we didn't go back the other nights. Looks more classy and upscale than it is in the end. Especially food-wise.

The food is fine, it's typical 'pub grub' with a few interesting items on the menu. One of the best things for families is that it has lots of outside seating and an attached play area - both local and visiting children love it and the parents get a break then. When we entered and saw the layout and interiors we had to stay. The ground floor is extremely spacious and has a relaxed atmosphere. There are the standard tables and chairs or you can grab one of the sofas and relax. We saw a fair mix of young/single as well family groups so it appears to cater to and popular with all. Both the food and drink menu is extensive and have a number of options but we went for the Tapas. A good selection of Tapas dishes which are reasonably priced (£3.75 for 1 or £9 for 3). There is a kids menu as well. We loved the Pulled Chicken and Chorizo, the Haloumi and Courgette were out of the world. The wife told me that the Squid were nice too. A wide range of cocktails, mock-tails or beer/wine is available to accompany the food. A large glass of Malbec under £6 was a bargain. The cocktails were well made and reasonably priced. The place is spread over two floors and also a terrace so I am sure you will find a place. You don't have to wait to be seated and you can sit where you like. The system is to order at the bar and they bring the food over so take a note of the table number. I am sure you will find what you crave for in the extensive menu. The staff were friendly, attentive and efficient and enhances the overall experience. Highly recommend you to check this place out if you are in or around Newquay.

You come here to run with the stags, do shots, and generally get a little messy. Scrap that. An awful lot messy. Its not big, its not clever and you certainly don't go to these places in London, but its Newquay, what happens in Newquay stays in Newquay. Er, until you Yelp about it, that is. Belushi's is a big, its right on the beach and is also right on the stag party trail. It's a decent place to start your evening. Drinks don't cost the earth. One of the bar men was kind of hot. I got to play table football (which unleashed my competitive side....I WANT TO WIN, DAMN IT!!). Hung out with a gimp-ed up stag and his herd, who were actually fun. All a-ok. Do a Sambucca and move on. Next bar please.

I'm giving a Belushi's 4 stars? What madness is this?…read more For context - the Belushi's I'm used to is a scummy dive off Covent Garden, where you end up when you're already rat-arsed and all the pubs are closing. After you've unstuck your feet from the floor you'll probably order some shots of something disgusting which seems like a good idea at the time, and will leave you reeling in the seventh circle of hell the next day. This Belushi's...is a little bit different. The bar/restaurant area is pretty spacious, with high tables, sofas and a glorious seaview terrace. I'll admit my review is biased, because I have a Tastecard giving me 50 per cent off food here - so for three days my friend and I dined on ludicrously cheap Belushi's fare. And you know what? The food's actually decent. The last night we came here we ordered steak, which worked out at...oooh...approximately £5.50 each. £5.50! At that price, it would be rude not to order some shots of Agwa (£2) and a bottle of wine (£14) to wash it down with...ah wait, perhaps this is more like the Belushi's I'm used to. But my feet never stuck to the floor, I never ended up with my face in some stranger's armpit, and I never stopped appreciating the view from that terrace. Next time I'm in Newquay...I'll be back.

Nice, neutral decour and friendly staff. You can have table service, or pay at the bar, but you have to pay as you go along Toilets a bit cramped bit they have awesome hand-dryers!
