I have been here many times . I got both my tragus' pierced here on 2 separate occasions. I got 2 dermal anchors done here and I then had some piercings removed because of rejection. The customer service is top notch and all the piercers actually have experience and know what they are doing. I came in here today to get one of my dermal anchors under my belly button removed because the other one rejected, and I was literally in and out in less than 10 minutes. Jacob did the removal, he was fast and knew what he was doing. They didn't charge me to remove it but I still tipped him. And a lot of piercing places charge you to get them removed. Just an FYI.. If you have a healed dermal, it hurts like a b*^%# to get it removed LOL. But honestly this is the only place I will recommend for piercings ! read more

This is a great shop. Very clean and welcoming. Dana did both of my tragus piercings and has a great "bedside manner". He gave me all the information I could possibly need to make an informed decision. He is also quick and precise in his work. Both piercings were over before I knew it, and I hardly felt anything. I later had some difficulty with healing due to my choice of jewelry (rings), which is apparently pretty common, and Dana was more than happy to advise me over the phone on what to do next. I came in and had him put short barbells in my ears instead of the rings. My ears are very happy now! I would also like to mention that my boyfriend has a larger-than-usual size septum piercing (3/4") for which he usually needs custom jewelry ordered. Dana (and the other staff) have always been very helpful to us when we go in and need something ordered, have questions about items in the case, or ask for recommendations. You could definitely find piercing and body jewelry cheaper elsewhere, but you will most likely not be getting this quality of merchandise and service. I would definitely go back and would recommend this shop to others. read more

Nicole (piercer) and Steph (front desk) are amazing!!! I initially came in to get a naval piercing. When Nicole studied the anatomy of my belly button, she informed me that if I were to get a naval piercing, it is most likely not going to heal. She was super informative as to why getting a naval piercing would be unsuccessful for my belly button shape. She even drew a visual for me! I understood right away because I appreciated her advice and knowledge for the healing process. I appreciate honesty and professionalism so much and these girls displayed both. I ended up getting a helix piercing and she made me feel very comfortable and my first piercing experience was awesome because of Nicole :) I appreciate her and this studio! Today I randomly walked into the shop and I was a little skeptical because this was my first "crazy"piercing and I was affraid of how everything was going to turn out bad, But Jacob was really down to earth made everything turn out smoothly, quickly and carefully. He helped me chose what location in my ear was going to be best for my type of ear. I really enjoyed my time there. Kat did my tragus yesterday and she was GREAT! I got there around 20:00 and there was a long wait, as they were having a BOGO sale. I suggest arriving earlier. But anyways, I don't have many piercings and I don't know a whole lot about how they're done or how to handle aftercare. Both Kat and the front desk staff made sure that all of my questions were answered and that I knew exactly how to clean it. They were extremely helpful and friendly, the jewelry was gorgeous, the shop was very sanitary, and it was affordable! Although this is the only place I've gotten piercings, I can confidently say HTC is the place to go for your piercing needs. I first discovered HTC five years ago when I received my first cartilage piercing. I remember being blown away by their excellent customer service, cleanliness, and client care. Today, I decided to revisit this location to have a second cartilage piercing done. My opinion of HTC remained consistent. Although the wait was a bit long, my experience made it worth the two hours. Nicola not only did a fantastic job with the piercing but made me feel comfortable and relaxed. She had such a bubbly and light-hearted nature that it took away any existing nerves prior to piercing. I will definitely be revisiting HTC for a third time and times to follow. read more

I'm very happy & satisfied with this particular shop. I was on this side of town & went in today because I was having slight discomfort with my right nipple piercing. The barbell was too short for my comfort. The staff was very nice & welcoming! I loved how they had the size of gauges & lengths on the wall so you could visibly see what they have to offer. After filing out the paper & flashing my I.D. Dana invited me into one of the rooms & within 5 minutes, I had a longer barbell. I felt SOOOO much better! I got my tongue pierced here and I have to say it was the best piercing experience I've ever had! Being greeted by Melissa at walk-in was the perfect beginning to the experience, she was so sweet and answered all of my questions. The manager/piercer, JD, was super kind and kept me calm the whole time as did apprentice Kaila. Quickly done! JD was extremely thorough on explaining what was happening. Very helpful and informative!!!! They will not sugarcoat anything and tell you how is it. If the piercing you're trying to get usually gets infected fast, they will recommend a different one. Got my tragus pierced by Nicola and she was very down to earth and made the experience as pleasant as could be. I've had no pain or issues with my piercing. I called and spoke to Mel the next day about how i was overcharged when I came in. Turns out I was charged for the soap I didn't buy. She was very professional and offered to upgrade me to the larger bottle of soap for no extra charge for the inconvenience.. so I decided to just go ahead and do that as opposed to dispute the extra charge. Then the manager JD called me to make sure I wasn't upset about the whole thing, which I wasn't haha. Overall, great customer service and I'll be back for any future piercings. read more

I got an industrial piercing by Dana and he was awesome! All I have to say is this place is crazy sanitary and had a wide variety of jewelry to choose from. I love love love my piercing and Dana was very informative in explaining aftercare and how to clean it. So glad I came in there later at night because there was no wait and I was pierced within ten minutes of walking in there. Walked into the Tempe location a few weeks ago and fell in love! Everyone we've met at the (S Ash) & (N 28th) locations have been so great! Richard is especially awesome!! My boyfriend, Gaige, was in a lot of pain when we first came in. He had really awful screw on tunnels that a so called "professional and knowledgeable piercer" put in his ears after he scalpelled his ears to a 00. The screw on tunnels were not helping him heal at all... They were just getting swollen and more bloody everyday. You couldn't clean them and were getting rusty. He even had to use a wrench to take them off once! Richard took a look at his ears and immediately knew it was all wrong. He got him into a fresh pair of glass plugs and he even helped remove the old ones/put in the new ones. He helped Gaige feel better immediately and helped his ears continue to heal very smoothly and painlessly. He even gave us a little lecture and a lot of great tips/information that we had no idea about. We love you, Richard! P.s. We also love Dana! read more

I feel incredibly compelled to write how incredible Mel and Nicola at HTC at Phoenix are. I visited their location during a fundraiser, so the staff was incredibly busy. However, the volume of business did not mean that they cut corners on customer service. I came rather late in the day, but Mel directed me to their location when I got lost squeezed me in despite having tons of customers. Mel was so gracious and helpful at advising me what jewelry would work with my piercings. Nicola is my BFF in my head. We clicked immediately, and our conversation was so deep and enlightening. So much so I did not even feel her pierce me at all. Not even exaggerating. She is so beautiful inside and out. I loved learning about her, and I appreciated that she cared to learn about me. I felt so comfortable with her. Even though this location is the farthest from my home, this will be my go-to place. All of the HTCs are awesome. They were doing a special for $10 piercings as it is Steph's last day of apprenticeship - exciting!!!!! Anyway, I have been wanting to get my daith redone, so I figured this was the perfect opportunity. Nick was behind the counter and even though they were super busy, he made sure that he acknowledged every single person that came through the door! Add that on top of answering the various phone calls that were coming through and spending ample time checking in with each individual. He was upbeat and just provided outstanding customer service overall! Steph was also a rockstar! I explained to her that my daith piercing didn't heal well, so I removed it at the suggestion of my piercer and wanted to redo it. She took a look and made some very minor adjustments. Although there was a lot of pressure, Steph was very quick and the procedure was relatively painless. She guided me through the whole process as she was doing it and followed up with thorough aftercare. I highly recommend coming to HTC for all your piercing needs. Employees have a smart ass attitude and go out of their way to appear uninterested 100% of the time like some other reviews have stated but they do a great job on piercings. I do well with ignoring people who always have to be sarcastic to compensate for their lack of social skills so this isn't a problem for me but if it annoys you I'd recommend you go elsewhere. read more
