Jeff Nott listened carefully, then transformed my kitchen into a space in which I love to work and spend time. in addition, my kitchen, which is open to my living/dining rooms, has great aesthetic appeal. in the end, I not only have expanded work space, wood floor and appliances I selected, but the kitchen appears to be larger, feels light and airy. Plus, I gained badly needed closet space in an adjacent bedroom. I could never have imagined Jeff Nott's design, Project Manager Alex, and his skilled, helpful, and friendly construction crew could transform my formerly oppressive kitchen into a joyful addition to my home. I highly recommend Nott Construction.

I honestly did not think anyone could deliver a cohesive/functional design that would address the challenges of the existing home. I decided to move forward with a conceptual study with Alloi as I felt Marcos really understood the challenge and the aesthetic I was looking for. They had such creative ideas to so many of the idiosyncrasies of the house. I was so blown away. I highly recommend Marcos and team. The Otto team was absolutely amazing! 10 out of 10! I have nothing but great things to say about…read morethe entire process (including all of the contractors they hired). From start to finish, Otto helped us design, permit, build, and finish our ADU. They made it so easy! Starting with the initial site visit, they were so knowledgable about the process and various city-specific laws and requirements involved in the ADU permitting process. We immediately knew we were dealing with professionals. The design process was very collaborative and they were open to all of our ideas, yet they were more than willing to (politely) tell us when something was out of our budget or not feasible. They kept in mind all of our various requirements (storage space, light, vaulted ceilings, cabinetry, etc.) and they really made an effort to bring our dream design to life. They provide you with a portfolio of finishes that you can select from (if you are feeling overwhelmed with designing) or you can select your own finishes - you are not hemmed in by what they have already used or have on file, they are very open to any and all new ideas! But, it's certainly helpful to see how things look in their prior projects. The construction process was extremely smooth (shockingly, as I had heard horror stories about how construction can go). The contractors they brought in (Build Tuff) were friendly, polite, and worked tirelessly to keep everything on or ahead of schedule. They also always cleaned up the site before they left for the weekends so we (and our dogs) could still use our backyard. During the entire process, the Otto team came by for regular visits and kept us up to date with their helpful client portal where we could follow along with the schedule of events, see when upcoming payments would need to be made, and receive a thorough update of the progress every Friday. They also checked in with us throughout to make sure we were liking the design - and were very understanding when a couple times we changed our minds on design elements once we saw them in place. The finished project is absolutely gorgeous - it's even better than I imagined! I cannot believe that our gross, rat-infested garage is now a beautiful studio. It's such a calm, peaceful space and we are so proud to show it off. It is all thanks to Otto ADU. Thank you, Otto, for bringing our dreams to life!

Our home is a 1950s mid-century within a preservation district. It was bought "as is" - "great bones" but worn, tired and with original mechanicals, windows, and doors. No upgrades or replacements had been done by prior owners during their 40+ year tenure. The kitchen and master bedroom needed to be upgraded in major ways. Blend Design LA worked with us to execute a plan to renovate and upgrade in way that was within the preservation district's exterior code (front side of house) requirements, yet modernizing the kitchen and master bedroom enough to make it functional and good for the next half century. Outstanding Experience from Start to Finish!…read more I cannot say enough good things about Willbii! From the very beginning to the completion of my detached ADU, I was extremely impressed with their professionalism, communication, quality of work, and genuine dedication to their customers. My experience started with Steven, who introduced me to Willbii and took the time to show me homes they had built. I was immediately impressed by the quality, craftsmanship, and attention to detail I saw in their projects. After seeing their work firsthand, I felt confident enough to choose Willbii to design and build my detached ADU from start to finish--and I am so glad I did! I was later introduced to Kenny, their production manager, who was absolutely wonderful to work with. From the beginning, he clearly communicated each stage of the construction process and kept me informed along the way. He was extremely flexible, patient, and understanding when working with me, and he always treated me with respect. The crews were also fantastic. They were professional, efficient, and worked very quickly without compromising the quality of the work. Kenny was diligent about making sure permits and city requirements were properly handled, while also keeping the project moving forward. Most importantly, my ADU was completed on time according to the agreed-upon deadline. Willbii also helped me with selecting quality interior finishes and design elements, and the final product turned out beautifully. I was honestly very impressed when I saw the completed home. The price was also very affordable considering the excellent quality of the products and materials used. I truly felt that I received outstanding value for my investment. Once the ADU received its final approval from the city, I put it on the rental market, and I immediately started receiving compliments about how beautiful it was. I was able to rent it right away! That really confirmed to me that choosing Willbii was the right decision. Building a home can be stressful, but Willbii made the entire experience much easier and more enjoyable than I expected. Their communication, workmanship, responsiveness, and commitment to quality truly stood out. When I have another opportunity to build, Willbii will absolutely be my first choice. I would also have no hesitation recommending them to my family, friends, and anyone looking for a company they can trust to deliver a quality project. Thank you, Steven, Kenny, and the entire Willbii team, for helping turn my vision into a beautiful home!

Found Letter Four online and read glowing reviews like the ones here... I should have looked…read morecloser. Having worked with them for 2 years, I now realize most of these reviews are either (1) 5+ years old or (2) from people who work there - Alex S, J M, etc. I spent about $120k and the last 2 years on a 4-bedroom remodel with Letter Four. I have *nothing* to show for it. No plans, no permits, nothing. Just a home that I cannot live in with some holes in the walls and ceilings (they just enough minor demo that I can't live there and then they disappeared - fun!) What I do have are shady invoices (they pad their invoices, double-charge you, refuse to send you receipts even after you ask 5x, charge you for everything they can with a 20% markup - Ubers, printing fees, software fees, etc). What really bothered me is that they pay their Project Managers almost nothing and then they charge you $200/hr for those PMs work. When I tried to do calls with them to understand the invoicing, instead of listening and admitting their mistakes when they very clearly double-charged me for the same things - they yelled at me. The owner Jeremy talked over me the entire call. (To his credit, he did apologize for not letting me get a single word in - he said something like "I've been told I do this to women"). If you want to work with two really arrogant people who want to talk a lot about how great they are and how right they are but won't listen - by all means, sign up to work with these folks. The work itself isn't just subpar and sloppy - it's actually unusable. They were constantly making mistakes - you'd send them measurements and then get the plans and everything would be the wrong size. I never got a window schedule that had windows that matched the plans. They never got approval for a permit for the plans they created. They made so many mistakes, it's laughable. I hired a new Engineer and Contractor who both can't stop cracking up about Letter Four's work. "This isn't even to scale! Look, they have the downspouts at the highest points of the roof! Look at this - that part must be a joke, right?!" For the prices they charge and how arrogant they are about their experience, they deliver really sub-optimal work. They claim their high hourly fees and high-end rates will make your remodel easy for you - but I found that working with them is 5x more work than with my new contractor. (Message me if you want his info - he's *amazing*). Finally, their design aesthetic is really cheesy. It doesn't match any of the photos in their portfolio. All their design proposals felt something you'd see in a cheap flip. It was a total waste of money to pay for a "design + build" firm because I ended up designing every inch of it myself. Another reviewer called them "awkward" and I 100% found that to be the case. Their online portfolio is great, but actually working with them is a total nightmare on every level. Most people don't love their contractors - but you will LOATHE these people. I guess if you want some cool horror stories about your remodel, this is the company for you!
