She reassured us throughout the entire process and always made us feel like our dream was attainable. She is gifted at being straight forward and honest while still taking your feelings into consideration. But initially meeting him he was very nice, caring, answered all of our questions, and totally knows what he's doing. My first cycle with him went very smoothly and his coordinator at the time Amanda is a god send! She was so attentive, responds in a timely manner, and makes sure you don't ever feel alone during your cycle. I successfully gave birth to a healthy baby and Dr. Potter and Amanda took pictures holding her! He was so happy to see "his baby" as he likes to call them, which I think is very sweet. My primary care recommended I see Dr. Potter for fertility testing and it was a horrible experience. We waited almost an hour to be seen even though I received multiple notifications that my appointment would be cancelled if I didn't show up 15 minutes early. He barely went through my medical history before claiming the only way I'd ever get pregnant would be through IVF and to not argue with him because he's been doing this for as long as I've been alive. I asked him if I could do testing first and he said I could since it's my money but he knows that IVF with lupron injections would be the only way for me to conceive. We were then moved to another room where someone went over prices and how to take out a loan to start IVF immediately! I was so overwhelmed and upset by how fast and dismissive the appointment was. I told them we needed to discuss it and eventually decided this was not the best route for my body. Less than a year later, I am now 4 months pregnant naturally with no medical intervention besides starting acupuncture to treat my chronic pain. Clearly Dr. Potter does not know best. read more

We had a very disappointing and unpleasant experience with Dr. Potter. First, it's worth noting that he shuttles between Fullerton and Newport Beach, which can be confusing when researching reviews. We found success with a different doctor at a different location, so I don't mean to write a review out of bitterness. But I think our story would be helpful as a word of caution for future patients. Dr. Potter is charming and intelligent. He speaks at conferences and he has an impressive sounding resume. Unfortunately none of that is relevant when you are his patient. As many other reviewers have commented, he keeps you waiting for 60-90 minutes routinely. It's part of his standard procedure. In person, on the phone, via Zoom. Truly every interaction includes about 60-90 minutes of needless waiting without explanation. This becomes maddening with a doctor you have to regularly interact with. He misdiagnosed our situation in such a way that borders on malpractice. It cost us thousands of dollars in bills and several months of treatment, self-medicating and ultimate failure. It was painful emotionally and physically. He never figured out the issue, because (in my opinion) he doesn't really care about his individual patients and prefers a 'one size fits all' approach, which obviously doesn't always work. When we found our new doctor, she was kinder, more sympathetic and more motivated to help us figure things out. She asked questions that Potter never asked. She diagnosed our problem within 30 minutes of conversation, and it was both eye opening and emotionally overwhelming. I strongly encourage you to pursue a doctor that has more positive reviews and who respects you and your time. It may save you months of heartache and pain. Best of luck. read more

I had a wonderful experience with HRC fertility in Fullerton. I actually drove from the IE to Fullerton instead of transferring to Rancho because I loved the team here so much. I knew I was in great hands after my first meeting with Dr Potter. He took time to get to know me and my fertility journey, and was very personable and didn't push anything on me and wanted to get to the root cause of our issues first. Jamie was my NP and she truly was a blessing to work with. She was extremely professional, knowledgable, empathetic, and made me feel comfortable during every test and procedure. My husband and I waited four years for our miracles to be born, and if it wasn't for HRC fertility, Fullerton, Dr Potter and the wonderful nurse practitioner, Jaime Hainlen, we would still be waiting. I started my journey out at a different fertility clinic, and was met with roadblock after roadblock. I kept trying to make it work at that place and spent 2 1/2 years wasting my time. Finally a girlfriend of mine help me see that I could look for other doctors and not be married to just one. After doing lots of research, I found HRC Fullerton and after I had my initial consult with Dr Potter, I knew from that meeting I was in the right place. Dr Potter introduced me to Jaime and we took off running. Jaime, Jackie and their team, treated me with such compassion and empathy. They didn't bat an eye when I asked thousands of questions or treated me like I was crazy when I would ask, 'well what about this or what does this mean?' It is truly because of this team that we have our little girl. After trying for a year, being misdiagnosed by my OBGYN and then hitting a wall when asking for help from a second OBGYN, we found HRC Fullerton. We were able to get in for an appointment that same week and Dr. Potter wasted no time in getting a plan together. We only needed one month/cycle before I became pregnant. Negative stars given, I would not recommend to anyone! Update for HRC Fullerton and Newport, I suggest you don't waste your time and energy here. People don't return phone calls or emails. Both Dr. Becht and Dr. Frederick were nonchalant and lack empathy. When concerns are voiced they don't care. Why recommend a procedure only to have a patient jump through hoops and waste months of time only to say I would not have recommended that. I'll take Dr. Frederick's advice and go somewhere else because asking for information for a department in their clinic is too much to ask. I had a wonderful experience at HRC. I came to HRC Fertility already knowing that my husband I needed IVF. We had already completed all our testing with Kaiser that confirmed that IVF was the only way we could have a baby. I ended up choosing HRC Fertility because it has some of the best IVF success rates in OC according to the CDC. I had consultations with 6 other IVF clinics and I found HRC's pricing to be comparable. I also had a great first consultation with Dr. Potter--he was very straightforward and realistic about our situation and what to expect from the process. I was initially worried about some of the issues other reviewers here listed and it made me hesitant to select HRC despite their great success rates. However, I didn't run into any issues with scheduling, wait times or billing like some other reviewers did. Sometimes I would have to reach out more than once for questions about billing, but I never had to wait long. I was also happy that they offered early morning appointments so I didn't miss work. The Fullerton office is where I had my initial consultation and monitoring appointments. The surgical parts of the IVF process--sperm retrieval, egg retrieval and embryo transfer--all took place at the Newport Beach office. The coordination with the Newport Beach office and Fullerton was seamless and I have nothing but positive things to say about the Newport Beach staff, the embryologists, and the surgical staff as well. You won't see Dr. Potter at every appointment, but you develop a close relationship with your assigned coordinator. Your coordinator will be there at all your monitoring meetings, will answer your questions about medications, let you know what steps to expect in the process, etc. They will communicate all your test results to Dr. Potter and after Dr. Potter reviews them, your care coordinator will update you on anything you should know. My care coordinator Amanda was so sweet! She was friendly and positive, answered any questions that I had promptly, and she even answered my emails on weekends! Deisy was another staff member I interacted with on a regular basis, she would do the blood draw and she was great as well! If you really need to talk to Dr. Potter, you are provided a direct number to him--which I used when I panicked when I spilled half of my trigger shot on a weekend night and when my pharmacy lagged on my medications--and I never had a problem reaching him. I am happy to say that I have officially graduated from HRC and am now seeing an OB. I know that I am good hands when I come back in a few years for our second baby! read more

DO NOT GO HERE. Trust the fact that there are dozens of bad reviews and find another facility and doctor. This place is the worst possible choice you could make. My wife and I chose HRC because she works in Fullerton and it was convenient. What a bad decision. First, Dr. Potter is the most unprofessional doctor I've ever encountered. He is totally disrespectful of people's time, and you WILL wait over an hour for every appointment, no matter what time you show up. My wife and I were always early. At our last consult, to go over the disappointing results, I had to raise hell to get in to see him. He'd been there, sitting in his office making everyone wait. He was not with another patient. For procedures, my wife had to wait in the hospital bed for 3 HOURS for him to show up. When we asked what the hell was going on, the staff said "Oh yeah, he's always 3 hours late for surgeries." What. The. Actual. Fuck. He has absolutely no bedside manner, won't remember you, won't explain anything, and assumes you know everything already. Questions will be met with condescension bordering on derision. Why this man became a doctor is beyond me. Oh wait, it's THE MONEY. All this place cares about is getting your money. They make you pay up front for everything, and then promise a refund if your insurance covers anything. LIES. We were promised a $2,500 refund by Wendy Johnson, on multiple occasions. She is now refusing to answer emails or phone calls from us. We paid for everything up front, including procedures (retrieval, etc.) and were told that this was the "cash price" that covered everything. MORE LIES. It didn't cover anesthesia, which they don't tell you. So now you have to pay more. And they refuse to communicate with the anesthesia provider, so those people think you're refusing to pay. It's a NIGHTMARE working with this office. People who are considering IVF or other fertility treatments are on a time clock. Do yourself a favor and don't waste your valuable time and/or money on this place. You can't afford to go here. We chose Dr. Lin at Fertility Centers of Orange County, and it has been amazing. They are super nice, and are far more advanced. Oh, and HRC Fullerton and Dr. Potter use painful, outdated techniques. When we've described the procedures and techniques to other doctors, they've physically cringed. Most of the methods used at HRC Fullerton aren't even used anymore in fertility! Going here is like going to the ER for a broken arm and choosing leeches as a treatment. Stay away!!! read more

My husband and I started working with the staff at HRC in April 22'. We found the entire staff to be incredibly kind, compassionate, and empathetic to the heartache that goes along with infertility. The front desk was always helpful and full of warm greetings, my NP Jaime was spectacular, and my coordinator Stephanie was amazing. Jaime was always amazing at making herself available to my abundance of questions or following up with me after my retrievals when I had some unpleasant side effects. Dr. Potter is great! He is a straight shooter who didn't sugar coat anything with us, but gave us his honest opinion of our case and the outcomes we had hoped for. I did 2 cycles of IVF with Dr. Potter and NP Jaime and ultimately ended up pregnant by November 22' and we now have a little girl thanks to the amazing staff at HRC. I will say, the only downside we experienced is Dr. Potter running behind quite often, but I'm guessing that is due to him being so great at what he does and being in high demand. My husband and I went to HRC Fullerton in Feb 2023 and met with Dr. Potter for our initial consult. We were recommended to do IUI treatments with THE BEST Jaime Hainlen at the office. We did a total of 2 IUIs with Jaime and I very much appreciated her bedside manner, patience with my questions, and overall care she extended to me. I felt informed every step of the way and that gave me the courage I needed for this whole process. Our second IUI worked and I graduated from HRC care at 10 weeks pregnant. Monitoring Ultrasounds with Jaime are still my favorite memories because she was me and my babys biggest cheerleader. I also appreciated the office staff! The girls were so kind, remembered me, and it felt like the most ideal environment to go through infertility journey. I needed information, medical care, and personal care from Jaime and the staff, and that's exactly what I got! This is the place for you if: you are looking for egg freezing or IVF. They will not get creative or try different avenues before going for the big ticket interventions. Doctors refused to refer me to a specialist until I had done my time: one year of trying to conceive naturally. After waiting for a year I got referred to Dr. Potter at HRC. The whole situation felt hopeless from the start. You pay your expensive first consultation fee after waiting months for your appointment just to be left in the waiting room for 20-30 min. You get a 10 min conversation with the doctor and a long conversation with the financial advisor and nurse. Off the bat they're selling IVF. I hadn't seen a specialist for infertility but they made me feel incompetent and incapable of having children. I am 30 years old with no health problems except for PCOS. This facility gave me the run around, they took advantage of my vulnerability and had me go through hundreds of dollars worth of tests. After spending over a thousand dollars and only 30% done with their tests they tell me there is no other way. I must do IVF. So I left, I don't have the finances to do IVF and if my situation is as hopeless as they made it seem I felt like IVF would only be a waste of money. So this facility took away my hope. Don't come here at the beginning of your journey you will be left hopeless in an already desperate and heartbreaking situation. read more

Wish I had read these reviews before booking appointment. Seems like it's nothing new but here you go. Arrived on time to a closed office. No sign on door stating they are at lunch or in surgery or anything. Only a note (something about semen) and a general phone number. Called the number, woman stated her records show I was referred to Laguna office. Nope. Paperwork emailed to me confirms it was Fullerton. She recommends I wait 10 min for someone to call me. We wait a bit more then decide to leave. I leave a message on voicemail of a coordinator. We receive phone call 40 min after appointment. No voicemail. Receive email from another coordinator asking if we are still planning on coming in. That's it. No apology, no explanation, no how can we make this right. After emailing back about our experience and frustration, the response was ok let us know if you change your mind. Suffice to say, we have decided to go with another non-HRC fertility center. read more

Dr Ghazal is a highly skilled professional in her field. My wife and I went to two other fertility centers before attending a free information seminar at HRC. Dr Ghazal explained everything in a humble and compassionate way. We immediately felt comfortable and made an appointment to discuss our options. Here we are, pregnant with twin girls, due sometime in October! My wife is 42, and thanks to Dr Ghazal and HRC, we had success from our first cycle. I went here for 7 months with my wife. We were unsatisfied with services we received for several reasons. We found Dr. Ghazal to be cold, clinical, and vague in her treatment instructions. For example, when asked about level of exercise, her response was "use your best judgement." And for stress, she said, "everyone has stress." There was an up-selling tone for IVF during our appointments (we opted for IUI). We also waited over 1 hour to see her on at least 2 occasions. We were about to leave, but she finally came out last minute to see us. In addition, we were asked to do a last minute test right before IUI. It was stressful to get the test completed and ensure the results reached the clinic on time. Lastly, during our IUI cycle, we had to arrange for our own medication pick up from a specialty pharmacy and self-administer injectable medication. I asked if we could come in early to the office for the injection, but staff told us it had to be done at a specific time (1 hour after the clinic closed). I felt as though we were just another number. There was hardly anything personal about about the services. I would not recommend this clinic, took my wallet, and hopes and dreams of having a child to another clinic. read more

We showed up to our appointment right on time at 2:20pm, I had already forwarded my paperwork in advance and had my medical records sent to them. We waited in the loby for an hour befor asking how much longer it would be. We were told about 5-10 more minutes. After waiting another 40 minutes we asked again how long. At that point we were told the doctor might be able to see us in 20 minutes. At that point we walked out and didn't even give the doctors a chance because if it happens once its going to happen again. In one word please stay away from this clinic. This review is not specifically for the Drs but I blame them since they are the leadership for the staff and clinic. I had an phone consultation appointment with Dr. Potter at 1:00pm. After I waited 15 minutes, I called to inquire about the delay and was told he was running 20-30 minutes behind without reason. Given, they didn't initiate the call and let me know he was running late. Isn't this common courtesy for a business? I waited another 45 minutes and called back to ask if he was still going to attend our consultation. The office staff said that he was still running late and would call in another 30 minutes. I called again a hour later and was rudely greeted by a receptionist who stated Dr. Potter and his staff were in a staff meeting. OMG! Did they not know I was waiting for an appointment. She said she would leave a message for them. It has been over 3 hours now (3:45pm) and still no call or follow up. I regret wasting my time here. I thought Dr. Potter was a true professional in his field----but I guess not. If this clinic cannot simply manage a calendar, there is no way in he1l I am going to allow them to perform an IVF procedure on my body. I chose HRC for an IVF cycle due to their high numbers of pregnancy success in Orange County. I had used another clinic for inseminations (I reviewed them as well) but since IVF is so expensive, I wanted to go w the clinic w the best numbers. The girls that run the office are efficient and pleasant. The clinic is extremely busy and appointments are often very behind. Most of my appointments ran about 30 mins behind and after my failed IVF I met w Dr Ghazal to discuss my failed cycle and waited ONE HOUR past my appointment time to see her. My husband was furious! We both left work early to meet w her and I will say it was extremely rude. When I mentioned it to her she kinda laughed it off w a very insincere "I'm sorry about that" ( insert eye roll here). The front desk ladies catch a lot of slack for appointments running late but I believe it's not their fault. The drs want to pack this office full of patients because it's a high dollar business. If you chose this place keep that in mind. You are not seeing a doctor w empathy or a nurse that will walk you through with kindness during this tough time. You are seeing a doctor that is in it for the money. Don't look for them for emotional support because you won't get it. You will get ZERO empathy from Dr Ghazal. Dont expect to see the doctor during your cycle...you will see a coordinator. Don't expect any appointment to run on time. If you have complaints take it to the doctor when you eventually see him/her during your egg retrieval or your transfer . Don't yell at the poor ladies in the front desk. I did end up getting pregnant but on my own after a simple blood test was done that was previously overlooked by DR Ghazal. She admittedly said he didn't do that blood test because I didn't "look" like someone that would have this condition. Frustrating given the amount of money I spent on IVF. I try to look at the bright side...at least she did figure it out after my failed IVF cycle and I was able to conceive during my first cycle on a $6 prescription medication...my husband isn't as understanding since we spent a "buttload of money for nothing". When we discussed the failed cycle w DR Ghazal her solution was we can try IVF again a couple more times...uh sure lady let's keep trying $25k cycles over and over. Coming from a fertility doctor w a fat diamond ring on her hand lol! I gave this clinic 2 stars because of the front desk ladies do the best they can and take a lot of shit from patients when appointments run behind. Deisy is a sweet girl that works there and was the only one that showed me empathy & sincerity. IVF PATIENT (treated by DR. Ghazal) I wanted to write a detailed review on HRC because I think picking the right fertility center is so important! Consultation: We were able to come in pretty fast for a consultation. Dr Ghazal was very friendly and informative. She answered all of my questions. Actual treatment: I will say this, they are very busy... and you will notice that during your cycle. I did have to call in twice sometimes to get a reply. BUT the professionalism behind the entire process, all the extra testing... I just felt very safe and I trusted the entire process! So a couple of extra phone calls didn't really bother me. I always got a printed calendar to take home with me, so I can track my cycle. Nathalija always showed me how to use my medication and she was very patient with me. (I got really frustrated and emotional during my cycle and kind of bitched at her for no reason at all, over email! I'm sorry Natalija if you read this!!!)she still was very friendly with me and probably understood I was just emotional from all the hormones, which shows Natalija is great at her job ! Egg retrieval: I didn't experience any pain at all after my egg retrieval. The nurses and Dr Ghazal were so nice and explained the entire process. It took maybe 1 and a half hours in total, with waking up. Fertilizing the eggs: Ok so, I may be wrong about this... but 21 out of 21 of my eggs fertilized... I believe this was the work of a good embryologist, I don't believe that just my eggs alone play a role in this. It's so crucial to have as many eggs as you can, so you can pick a good embryo for the transfer and also have some to fall back on if the cycle fails! Actual embryo transfer: I had 2 embryos transferred which Dr Ghazal didn't give me shit about, which a lot of other doctors do! A lot of doctors are just interested in you having to come back so you pay more. Dr Ghazal explained to me the risks and told me if I want twins, she will give me twins. If I want a singleton she advises me to only transfer 1 embryo. I love her so much for listening to my wishes and letting me decide this for myself. The actual transfer went very smooth. And no, it doesn't hurt. I thought it would and I was terrified! You can watch the entire process on a monitor. Finances: this is the only real critique I have for HRC, to really make the finances more transparent! A lot of people save up for years for their fertility treatment and it's already such an emotional roller coaster. Did I get pregnant?: I'm still in my 2 week wait so I will update this review after my Beta :-) Update: I'm currently 8 weeks pregnant :-) I highly recommend this clinic. They have high success rates, they're so advanced and professional. It's worth the extra stress. At the end of the day all that counts is if this leads to pregnancy and if the team did everything they could to get you pregnant. We were recommended by an acupuncturist to see Dr. Potter at HRC. Had the initial encounter with him in Newport beach then started the whole process with testing and appointments. Dr. Potter is a seasoned doctor in the field. It's true that he does not talk much, like some reviews said, but he is straightforward and would tell you exactly what needs to be done. I have to agree with the negative reviews about him being late most of the time though. So plan to wait if you have appointments with dr. Potter However, I also understand that the nature of his job with surgeries and all (surgeries and procedures sometimes don't go the way you plan and can run longer than expected) makes it hard to be on time even if he wanted to. So I will not change my rating for something that is not in their control. I was then assigned a coordinator who worked closely with me each step of the process. My coordinator was changed to someone else, then finally I was assigned to Amanda. Although I went through 3 different coordinators during the process, it was not an issue at all. Each of them communicated with me on everything that needs to be done and was available for any questions or concerns. Where to begin with Dr Potter and the HRC Fertility team. After 3 years of trying for a baby and seeing multiple doctors, both medical and holistic, we finally met with Dr Potter in Fullerton. We were referred to the HRC clinics by our OB. Dr Potter made us feel confident in his expertise and knowledge on fertility treatment from the first meeting. With a brief overview of our history, he had a good idea of what course of action to take. What my husband respected most about him is his results-oriented attitude. His focus is the truth, and the scientific facts while his staff facilities the plan and makes it as seamless and comfortable as possibly the whole way through. Dr Potter instantly gave us hope that he could help us achieve our dream of having a family. We worked very closely with him and his team, especially Amanda and Deisy in the Fullerton office. We were there all the time for testing, labs and ultrasounds. They were always kind to us, honest, helpful, responsive and treated us like family. We honestly were sad to graduate from their office because we were going to miss seeing them regularly. They made a difficult and stressful time for us more enjoyable and comfortable. They treated us like people, never felt like a number. Any time I had a question Amanda would respond to my emails or call me back immediately. Same with Deisy. I was never left hanging or feeling unsupported. Both Amanda and Deisy took their time in discussing our concerns and explaining things every step of the way. We went through twos rounds of IUI first before deciding to move onto IVF. We started our IVF treatment the same week that Covid was announced as a global pandemic- nothing could added stress and anxiety onto our situation more than that!! Dr Potter took the time for a 30+ min phone call with me to assure us to move forward with treatment regardless of shutdowns and that no matter what, we would be supported and my egg retrieval surgery would happen regardless of what we were hearing in the news. Their team handled the pandemic perfectly and made all of our visits feel safe and regulated. Temperature checks and limited capacity... I never felt exposed in their office. With some luck and doctors expertise with our personalized treatment plan, IVF worked for us after the first try! Amanda called us with the news and was genuinely happy for us. Again it was as if a lifelong friend or family member was delivering the best news of our life. Our healthy baby boy was born 2/10/21 and I have this team to thank so much for this blessing. Our journey to having our son wasn't what we expected it would be but looking back , I wouldn't change a thing about the whole process... especially working with the HRC fertility team in Fullerton. We had some visits to their Newport office as well and they were also all spectacular. We would definitely go back for IVF again with Dr Potter for our next child if we needed to. Highly recommend this clinic and especially the Fullerton office. What a blessing it is to have this technology available and knowing the right people to help you through it! Doctor Potter was very unprofessional and only worried about making money. Once he realized that me and my wife were good canidates for insemination and did not need to do invitro fertilization wich is more money for him he wanted nothing to do with us. He avoided are calls and emails. But when it was time for me to pay out of pocket for the test and services he was on time for that. Also Natalia his assistant lied and said they never recived our emails or calls even though we left voicemails and have records of the emails for month. In closing Fuck you Dr Potter . read more

Hands down the absolute best doctor!!! Dr. Ghazal helped me thru the entire process, after one failed transfer I felt so down and depresses. Thanks to Dr. Ghazal and her team of efficient staff I was given the motivation to try again which then resulted in my dream come true a beautiful, healthy baby girl. This place is the ABSOLUTE Worst, when it comes to customer service!!! I have been trying to contact NORA in billing since receiving a bill for services over 2 years ago. I've called and sent multiple emails with no reply's. Today I asked to speak to the office manager and instead was told Wendy financial coordinator would look into my account and get back to me by end of business day and NOTHING!!! I'm not just gonna hand them over money, someone needs to explain why I am just now receiving a bill for services rendered 2 years ago. This place is HORRiBLE!!! I want to share my story so that you can make an informed decision when selecting a fertility doctor. First and foremost Dr. Potter's has the worst bedside manners, he averages about 1.5 to 2 hrs late to every appointment including your scheduled transfer. I had 3 failed IVF transfers the last one he was 2 hours late... I get the whole theory that he is such a high demand doctor and he wouldn't be in such high demand if he wasn't so good. In my humble opinion he just overbooks himself and frankly has no respect for his patients time. I felt like another number for him. I decided to look at other clinics after so many unexplained failures. I would have switched to Dr. Ghazol however they had let her go right as I was looking to change... I found another excellent doctor, who by far has superseded my expectations. He actually conducts your ultrasounds, he is thorough, personal and on time to every appointment. I didn't realize how dysfunctional Dr. Potter's process was. Going through IVF is such an emotional process, I don't wish the roller coaster ride and disappointments on anyone. I hope that Dr. Potter re-evaluates his process and extreme tardiness. Perhaps his success rates would improve if he was on time and really took the time and care towards each patient. I wish you much luck through this process and really take the time to consult with several doctors/clinics. Dr. Potter is an amazing Dr. I had previously seen another specialist who was terrible. I was totally anxious to go back to another Dr. The staff at HRC is amazing, they are warm, welcoming and very hard working. So sweet and wonderful at explaining everything. Dr. Potter met with me for a consult and explained a lot, he didn't rush me at all, he listened to me and helped me devise a plan of action. He left me with a list of things to do in order to see what cards we were playing with. I have started my check list, lab visits, checking on fallopian tubes, etc.. I have heard only wonderful things about Dr. Potter. I recommended him to a few of my friends, one of them is already pregnant, and the other will start treatments soon. Save yourself some money and time by not coming here. Receptionist doesn't know what she's doing. My doctor never got my results to see what medication I needed. Another day. I came in to my appointment that was scheduled 4 days prior. Got here and surprise surprise, they don't have me in for an appointment. "System was down". Then how in the fuck did they write me up for an appointment?? How did they pull up my file and asked for questions and said everything was ok ... BUT THE "SYSTEM WAS DOWN"And they always have an excuse that doesn't make sense AT ALL. MAKE YOURSELF A FAVOR GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. read more

Staff were great and dr ghazal was knowledgeable. However, if you have a BMI over 35 to 40, then ladies, tough you are out of luck. You have to have a lower BMI before they will do "elective surgery." As if infertility is an elective issue. Needless to say, I got told to lose 40lbs and come back. Weight is a huge thing with them. Sorry overweight ladies, like myself with pcos, we won't do Sh!t for you. Have a nice day and come back when you are smaller. The dr actually had the nerve to say that obviously I needed incentives to lose weight. Wth?!?!? I want to lose weight more than she could possibly know being extremely petite. read more

You will pay a lot of money for your initial appointment, but first you will wait in the reception area for over an hour with no more than a defensive attitude from the nilly at the desk. You will get a lot of macho assurances of what he will and can do for you. Then you will never see him again, because he delegates every single aspect of the fertility process to the nurses. But they don't tell you that. If that wasn't bad enough they made a mistake regarding my cycle and I ended up wasting a lot of money on medications and the Doctor would never admit to the fault. read more

Chose one star so I can write a review. I should have trusted my instinct after the first consultation when Dr. Potter was 45mins late (we were punctual if not early). I was a patient back in 2013. Two rounds of clomid did not work. Then he put me on injections, when I thought I was progressing well, he goes on vacation! His counterpart in Newport Beach took over and told me to use more injections causing over stimulation to my body, and then rejected to do IUI because of the fear of multiple births. Thee nurse called to tell me this not the doctor! She then said i can only continue if I switch to IVF. Right, bait and switch! Needless to say, I stopped going there. Took a break and found another clinic in Irvine. This new doctor saw my history report and off the bat said they overstimiluated me. After the first round of IUI, we got pregnant and our baby girl is now one year old. Save your money and heartaches by going to another doctor, one who cares and is with you every step of the way. read more

What can I say? Dr. Potter was successful in creating a treatment plan, etc to get me pregnant. Although he was not the warmest Doctor I've ever met and never seemed to remember us, I had no issues with him. The egg retrieval went well and the transfer was quick. The PGS was insightful and made it clear which embryo we should use, and she stuck! My complaints are focused around a lack of information that was provided to me during our IVF cycle and the way I was treated by my nurse/cycle coordinator Natalija during that time. She was great before we started the cycle but it was apparent she was not a good fit with me once the medication calendar was provided. Natalija told me she would go over medications with me at my baseline ultrasound appointment when I was starting injections, but when they tried to shoo me out the door after the ultrasound and I mentioned that Natalija had told me she was going to go over the meds with me, they acted like there was no way they anyone would have ever said such a thing. It was as if they wanted me out of the office as soon as possible. They even went as far to inform me. that Natalija was on the phone "with a bleeding patient" as if to emphasize how I was wasting their time. I said I understood that was important and I didn't care who went over my meds with me (after all, no one had gone over them with me at all yet) but they appeared not to listen as they went on and on about how Natalija was too busy. Eventually (when I started crying and telling my husband I wanted to leave) a different nurse spoke to us. I was never provided with my AF count, or blood test results during the cycle-- except the one time I demanded it. Natalija p even told me that I didn't need that information. Hello, I was paying A LOT of money for all of this and I have a right to my medical information. It shouldn't matter if the nurse/coordinator thinks I don't need it. If I ask for it, it should be provided. Several times I sent emails to Natalija with specific questions and the answers I received were incredibly vague and even completely not related to the question I asked. After the transfer when I was on bedrest I became so frustrated with the way I was treated that I called HRC and asked if there was any way I could switch nurses/coordinators. Then we got Natalie (based in the Newport office) and everything was smooth and wonderful. She was empathic, never made me think I was wasting her time, and provided me with the type of detail one would expect. She even took the time to help find resources that might help me when it became clear I was depressed at the beginning of my pregnancy. My next complaint is regarding how neglectful they were of contacting my husband. We asked from the very beginning that he be sent ALL the emails I was sent. They said they wrote it in the chart, but they neglected to do so. It took multiple email exchanges with each individual who emailed us to get them to include him. This is ridiculous-- he is just as much a part of this as anyone else. The very worst part about their inability to include my husband was the day we were to get our fertilization report. I had specifically asked Natalija to call my husband with results if she got my voicemail as I knew my phone was missing calls and doesn't alert me to voicemails. Alas, she did not. When I called them that afternoon as soon as they heard it was me they said "where have you been all day? You should have called earlier" it what was clearly an annoyed tone. When I asked why they hadn't called my husband as asked, the question was ignored and she proceeded to give me the report. Horrible. I disliked that there was no embryo report until the morning of the transfer. I wished I had had SOME idea of how many embryos died along the way. This unknowing created extreme anxiety. I know they said they didn't want to disturb them more than they had to (which is fine) but they did PGS testing the day before our transfer so they could have let us know how many had survived to receive the PGS. read more
