TIKI DAVE with TIKI DAVE'S TERRIFIC TRIPS loves Howie in Maui!
We were lucky enough to stop in Maui on a Saturday while on a cruise last month and decided to hit the nearby Maui Swap Meet. It is held every Saturday from 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the University of Hawaii Maui College parking lot in Kahului. Operating since 1981, it is the biggest flea market on Maui with lots and lots of vendors.
TIKI DAVE is always on the lookout for great Aloha Shirts and Howie in Maui's shirts have some really unique and beautiful designs as well as they are made with quality.
We met Howie himself in the booth and you could tell how proud he was with his product as he explained the quality of the material and how you could wash the shirts 150 times with no fading and the material just gets softer.
I would put these shirts in the same category as Reyn Spooner which is one of my favorite brands. In fact, Howie in Maui's material is even softer than Spooner Kloth.
Designs vary from vintage remakes (want the designs Tom Selleck wore in his signature Magnum P.I. photo shoot or Elvis wore in his? Howie's got you.) to beautiful original designs.
Prices were very reasonable at the flea market and Howie confirmed that he offers them at half price for locals (and us tourists) at the flea market.
TIKI DAVE highly highly recommends HOWIE IN MAUI!
I will be making a video of our experience that day on Maui so... And here it is! https://youtu.be/yVi4ZEcMw3g?is=0GTf-vESLcn0BX0_
