From the initial body collection through the funeral service itself, their team helped shoulder a burden that felt impossible at the time. Ian, Michelle, Andrea, and Fabian were all kind, attentive, and deeply respectful throughout the entire process. Being able to have everything coordinated and completed within a single week was nothing short of a lifesaver, and their willingness to open early for us was an extra act of kindness we won't forget. On the day of the service, all of the flowers sent by loved ones were beautifully arranged, adding a sense of care and dignity to the space. Death is never easy to accept, and navigating logistics while grieving only makes it harder. While no one can ease the loss itself, the people at Berge‑Pappas‑Smith made an incredibly painful experience more manageable through their empathy and support. For that, our family is sincerely thankful.

Seeing it in person did not disappoint. A beautiful, humble, nicely gardened funeral home. Lots of parking, lots of greenery. Even more beautiful in person. Gorgeous chapel with a view of a lush garden. Very private, not huge, but good for a medium/large size gathering. Best fit for 30 - 100ish people. The staff were incredible and incredibly kind. It's a family owned business, and it is clear that they have pride in the business with good reason. Sam was our point of contact and director and he did such a wonderful job both in explaining the process and kindness in his guidance from start to finish. Ian, Art, and everyone who helped is with the day were wonderful. A wonderful day & so happy we chose BPS COTA for this occasion. Highly recommended.

When my mother passed away, the hospice nurse called Grissom's C&B, and they came very quickly to transport her. They were very professional and courteous. Also, they were thoughtful enough to tell us to wait in another room while they were getting her ready to transport because, "it will be the last thing you see of her". The entire interaction with them at her home was very respectful and dignified. Two days later, we met with Lisa, the owner of Grissom's C&B. She was very knowledgeable and walked us through the process, telling us what to expect and the timing of when things would happen. All the prices were clear, and there were no hidden fees or unexpected expenses. We couldn't have been more pleased with Grissom's C&B and how they helped us navigate through a difficult time. At this same time, we asked if Grissom's C&B could help us get my grandfather's cremains buried with his parents in a rural cemetery three thousand miles away. It was not clear who was in charge of this cemetery. Still, Grissom's C&B did the research and, in the end, contacted eleven different entities/people before finding the correct one. We were very impressed with their dogged determination to find the answer. In addition, they handled the transportation of his cremains across the country. Everything went very smoothly. We would not hesitate to recommend Grissom's Cremation and Burial to anyone.

The cemeteries are on the south side of the street, starting just after you see "Christian World" Church & Childcare Center. St Michaels is very low profile, clean, and has a nice staff who do not hover. The grass is lush, green & evenly cut. There is one circular drive you can park on, 2 car park next to the office. The largest areas have grave markers. There are a couple of walls to hold your loved one's ashes. There seems to be niches still available. Across from the wall of niches the staff will erect a tent and chairs that can accommodate a small service. The weather can be pretty hot in Livermore, so shade is a must. It's plenty quiet and easy to hear people talking without microphones. Many people have placed plastic flowers, flags and a few children's toys and plastic jewelry on the grave markers. Feel free to bring an ipod with portable speakers or personal items of meaning for the service. The niche is slightly larger than the container of ashes and covered with a brass plaque so you can't see anything inside. You are left alone to do your own thing if you want for your memorial service. The niche brass name plates all match in a good way, weathering beautifuly like brass does. Each grave section has a sign saying "Garden of Love." This seems to be a good place to conduct non-denominational services. There is a chapel if you wish to have a more formal religious service.

Leaving a review for a cemetery seems a bit heavy, but hey, that's life for you…read more I've had the unfortunate circumstance of frequenting this cemetery several times. My nanay and tatay (grandmother and grandfather in Filipino) are buried here. Both of their services were also held here in 2014 and 2020 respectively. On a more personal note, the reason above was also the very reason why I chose this cemetery to lay my son Silas to rest in 2017. While it's very difficult to make arrangements for any family member or close relative, having to lay to rest your own child is quite literally the hardest thing I've ever had to endure in my life thus far. Clarice Burnett was one of the very kind and gentle representatives from this establishment to help my husband and I make arrangements. Having to work in this type of business is such a delicate matter and in our situation, Clarice and the rest of the staff we encountered during the entire process from making the arrangements and the burial itself, were very respectful and polite. While the grave marker for my son took over two months, Clarice was in contact with me frequently to keep me updated. When it finally arrived, my husband and I were relieved that it was exactly the way we had envisioned it. He is perfectly placed next to his little angel friends. Their parking lot area is very small and the selection is selective. Also when you drive in it's only one way throughout the entire cemetery so if there's a service or a burial, it's tough to get around. Often times you'll find all the actual parking spaces are filled and all the pavement adjacent to spots all along the graves have car parked along them, causing tight spaces to drive in and around. The only negative thing I would say is I wish they didn't throw away the items you placed on the grave markers for keepsakes for your child to have. They have a strict list of items you cannot place out and while I find it's a bit unfair, it's their rules. We've had items from places we visited and chose to leave for my son, only to have it thrown away and gone by our next visit. Nothing fancy or made of glass. I do respect that they have weekly and monthly cleanings to do but I just feel like if it isn't in the way and kept tidy, then why remove it? Leaving stuff for our children at their grave markers is as close to them as we can get here on Earth, just give us that at least you know?

I buried my mom three years ago, and this is now the second time her lapida has been damaged…read more I'm deeply upset and frustrated. I don't understand why Lima can't inform us ahead of time if they plan to mow or do any maintenance around my mom's resting place. A simple call or message would allow us to secure the items we've carefully placed there in her memory. It's heartbreaking to see them carelessly damaged. No family should have to go through this. I've already reached out to Clarice to ask for answers and to request a replacement for the mini lapida with my mom's name on it. We paid a significant amount for the lot, the viewing services, and her lapida. At the very least, we expect her resting place to be treated with dignity and respect--not just ours, but everyone's. What's happened feels completely disrespectful--not only to my family, but to my mom's memory. I just want her to rest in peace, undisturbed. If this issue is not resolved, I will continue to escalate it until we receive a proper replacement, a sincere apology, and a clear commitment that something like this will never happen again.

This has been such a heartbreaking experience having my daughter buried here. This cemetery is…read moreextremely insensitive and lacks compassion towards those grieving and their loved one's graves. First off, they originally sold us a plot they had already sold to someone else. They leave filing cabinets filled with people personal documents unsecured and accessible for anyone on the premises to go through. They will rudely/ spitefully throw all your loved ones items away that are left at their burial site without even letting you know. They will harass you as you visit your loved one's grave and try to intimidate you with their landscapers. So many plots have already been risen, shifted, and poorly placed in the ground. I honestly wish we never chose this cemetery!! Save yourself a lot of grief/ frustration and choose a different cemetery!!! Homeless people frequently come here. People often drinking and allowed to do as they please. The squirrels can be a huge nuisance. They told us when we chose our plot location a bench would be put in but never has and it's been 4 years. If you want a cemetery to visit to view historic grave sites I will say this cemetery does have quite a bit of historic stones to view but if you're looking to bury your loved here, definitely find a different cemetery. This place is very poorly managed. You are very restricted as far as headstone designs and sizes. Documents are not filed or kept secure so your personal information is at risk of getting in the wrong hands or lost completely. It's a shit show to say the least and it's shameful how they treat those that grieving. Sadly, I avoid visiting my daughter's gravesite because every time I have come here has been extremely heartbreaking to see how they have treated her site and what they have done with her items. They don't even want us placing flowers! It's absurd!

My parents moved to CA 3-1/2 years ago and my Dad was very ill. He felt he needed to get things in order and spent considerable time looking at places for final "rest" both for he and my mom. Thankful and by miracle he got off hospice, then home health and lived a very decent and happy life for 3 years. He was very happy with his interactions 3-1/2 years ago with Roselawn cemetery and had picked his columbarium space. I didn't see it with him at the time, but knew the location which I liked and the photos he showed me were very lovely. Sadly, my family and I have now had to interact and involve ourselves with placement of my Dad. I've had several phone calls for various reasons and always had pleasant and receptive conversations. After hours, I've always been called back with a direct answer. We had to set a time to bring my Dad's "remains" and it was so very respectful. I am sorry I don't recall the gentleman's name that helped us. He was respectful of our wishes as to time we needed, etc.. I just feel our family, my Dad and other's nearby with attending needs were all addressed so carefully and respectfully. I am very thankful my Dad chose Roselawn Cemetery in Livermore as a final resting place for he and my Mom.. with a choice of myself in the same location depending on needs when that occurs. It's not something we want to do, but I am thankful that this process was made so much easier here.
