As you can imagine this has been a very challenging time for the entire family. I was blessed when I called Callaghan Mortuary and Kerianne picked up the phone. This was right before the Thanksgiving holiday, and Kerianne answered all the questions, and concerns we had. She helped me get everything done without disturbing my friend who was still in the hospital recovering. Fast forward to today, everything has been finalized for the beautiful baby my friend lost. I would not have known where to go or what to do without the help of Kerianne! She never left me wondering what next, or said she'd call back at a better time. She always made time for me to answer my calls even though she was busy! I feel truly blessed, and forever thankful and grateful to Karianne and the Callaghan Mortuary team. Thank you again, forever and always! From the bottom of my heart!!!!

The woman who delivered my grandmothers body to her graveside service at a separate cemetery…read moredisrespected her legacy before she was in the ground. Whist waiting for the cemetery crew to okay the transport of my grandmothers body from the hearse to the plot, one of the two women in charge of driving and supervising my grandmothers body made smalltalk with my mother and I. She asked what she was like in her life and we explained that she was a strong headed woman who made this defining characteristic known in her life by being a local political voice in a fight of land protection and other politically related issues. She probed deeper. "Oh so she was a republican?"the woman remarked. We skirted the direct tone of the conversation by stating simply she was mostly involved in local politics and exposing corruption. She then asked if my grandmother (who we had also mentioned had been non verbal for 15 years leading to her passing) was a trump supporter. We once again tried to mitigate the political divide by reiterating that she was non verbal during the entirety of the last 15 years of politics. She pushed the topic further insinuating that if she didnt support trump she was stupid, then saying "well dont tell me she supported biden" Following it up with "democrats are irrational and cannot control themselves when trumps name is mentioned," as if she wasnt the one trying to talk about politics at my grandmothers burial WHILE HER BODY LAY DEAD IN THE VEHICLE BEHIND HER. Extremely inappropriate and unprofessional on a day that a family is grieving and navigating the loss of a loved one. Also she asked me if I could feel the spirits in the cemetery....??? She

My parents moved to CA 3-1/2 years ago and my Dad was very ill. He felt he needed to get things in order and spent considerable time looking at places for final "rest" both for he and my mom. Thankful and by miracle he got off hospice, then home health and lived a very decent and happy life for 3 years. He was very happy with his interactions 3-1/2 years ago with Roselawn cemetery and had picked his columbarium space. I didn't see it with him at the time, but knew the location which I liked and the photos he showed me were very lovely. Sadly, my family and I have now had to interact and involve ourselves with placement of my Dad. I've had several phone calls for various reasons and always had pleasant and receptive conversations. After hours, I've always been called back with a direct answer. We had to set a time to bring my Dad's "remains" and it was so very respectful. I am sorry I don't recall the gentleman's name that helped us. He was respectful of our wishes as to time we needed, etc.. I just feel our family, my Dad and other's nearby with attending needs were all addressed so carefully and respectfully. I am very thankful my Dad chose Roselawn Cemetery in Livermore as a final resting place for he and my Mom.. with a choice of myself in the same location depending on needs when that occurs. It's not something we want to do, but I am thankful that this process was made so much easier here.

This has been such a heartbreaking experience having my daughter buried here. This cemetery is…read moreextremely insensitive and lacks compassion towards those grieving and their loved one's graves. First off, they originally sold us a plot they had already sold to someone else. They leave filing cabinets filled with people personal documents unsecured and accessible for anyone on the premises to go through. They will rudely/ spitefully throw all your loved ones items away that are left at their burial site without even letting you know. They will harass you as you visit your loved one's grave and try to intimidate you with their landscapers. So many plots have already been risen, shifted, and poorly placed in the ground. I honestly wish we never chose this cemetery!! Save yourself a lot of grief/ frustration and choose a different cemetery!!! Homeless people frequently come here. People often drinking and allowed to do as they please. The squirrels can be a huge nuisance. They told us when we chose our plot location a bench would be put in but never has and it's been 4 years. If you want a cemetery to visit to view historic grave sites I will say this cemetery does have quite a bit of historic stones to view but if you're looking to bury your loved here, definitely find a different cemetery. This place is very poorly managed. You are very restricted as far as headstone designs and sizes. Documents are not filed or kept secure so your personal information is at risk of getting in the wrong hands or lost completely. It's a shit show to say the least and it's shameful how they treat those that grieving. Sadly, I avoid visiting my daughter's gravesite because every time I have come here has been extremely heartbreaking to see how they have treated her site and what they have done with her items. They don't even want us placing flowers! It's absurd!

The care, creativity, and dedication they poured into every detail--coordinating Tommy's return from the San Jose airport, organizing the Sunday lying in repose at their beautiful Livermore location, including the moving tributes by the local fire departments on the way, the funeral service, the procession through Livermore, the service at St. Michael's Cemetery, the press outreach, and help with the reception--was extraordinary. Their work reflected not just professionalism, but generosity and heart. They made us feel supported, seen, and understood during an emotional and significant weekend for our family. We are especially humbled by their offer to name the veterans memorial section at Monte Vista in Lt. Kelly's memory. We understand that T.W. This gesture speaks volumes about the care MVMG extends to the families they serve and their deep respect for those who have served our country. My sister had left 3 more messages with no response so I went by yesterday to find out what is going on. The manager was very defensive and didn't want to take responsibility for anything. She said she talked to my sister that morning- she didn't- she left a message saying that the certificate was sent to her house in Santa Cruz- WITH the ASHES!!!!!! In the mail!!! We were supposed to pick up the remains in Santa Rosa. She had stated 3 plus weeks ago that the certificate would be sent overnight. That never happened. It is now Dec 30 and the Certificate and remains have not been delivered. Very unprofessional to say the least. My grandmother said to me that its just easier here and we are familiar with it so when the time comes just make it easy for yourself and choose the same place. So that's what I did. The funeral director met with me at 10:30am and I was done signing and choosing everything by 11:30am. I chose just cremation, no embalming, no pre-service or viewing, no viewing of the cremation, no casket or fancy urn, just the basic everything. I will get a nice urn later and have them transfer her from the temporary container to a nice urn i pick out online. Now you can go all out and select the most expensive everything but that is not what I did. I likely will have a service or rememberance a few months from now. The director who assisted me was very spft spoken, clear, and had a nice demeanor. All things that put you at ease when you are definitely not at ease. My one tip would be to call, make an appointment and be sure to bring the deceased birth certificate, and marriage certificate if you have them. It will help fill things out much faster. So grateful that this place is clear and transparent on costs, affordable in my opinion, and makes things easy!

When my mother passed away, the hospice nurse called Grissom's C&B, and they came very quickly to transport her. They were very professional and courteous. Also, they were thoughtful enough to tell us to wait in another room while they were getting her ready to transport because, "it will be the last thing you see of her". The entire interaction with them at her home was very respectful and dignified. Two days later, we met with Lisa, the owner of Grissom's C&B. She was very knowledgeable and walked us through the process, telling us what to expect and the timing of when things would happen. All the prices were clear, and there were no hidden fees or unexpected expenses. We couldn't have been more pleased with Grissom's C&B and how they helped us navigate through a difficult time. At this same time, we asked if Grissom's C&B could help us get my grandfather's cremains buried with his parents in a rural cemetery three thousand miles away.
