Within the next month, a carpenter arrived to measure precisely for the project. When the big day arrived, two installers came promptly at 8 am. Kitchen & Bath LLC are incompetent plumbers, poor project planners, and OK bathroom tilers…read more Plumbing problems started during the planning phase, when they told me the sink did not need a an overflow, but I didn't think that was right, so I ordered one with an overflow. Thankfully I was correct, since the sink that they sell does have an overflow. I imagine other customers may have had big problems with the overflow after following their bad advice. I had to purchase the bath tub and bath fixtures. We had asbestos glue under the tile and a tub coated with lead, so I had an abatement company due the demo since Kitchen & Bath did not seem to have the expertise to do it. They claimed they could do it, but did not provide any licensing IDs for asbestos and lead removal. These additional costs are not included in the services provided by Kitchen & Bath and reviewed here. On the other hand, I removed the old plastic tub/shower wall cover and installed the mirror and light by myself. After the demo occurred, it was obvious that the plywood floor needed to be replaced. Alberto argued that they could install new plywood on top, but I disagreed. Mold and rot were a big problem, so I wanted it replaced. He delayed the project by 1 week because he was going on vacation and didn't trust his workers to take the floor out correctly without him around. No one from the company arrived at the time they said they would (early the first day, always late after). I work from home, and there was one day where I told them I had an appointment at 10:30, so they needed to show up before 10:30. They arrived at 10:30, when I was walking into the doctor's office. When I called the project lead (and owner) Alberto back after my appointment, he was incredibly rude, unprofessional, and disrespectful. The tiling install guy was late by a few hours and worked until after 8 pm. I have 2 kids and I could not get them ready for bed while this guy was working. The drywall and paint guy always showed up several hours late and could never arrive at a specified time. One day the guys showed up to work for an hour and then left for the day. The project should have taken 9 days but took two weeks because of these late starts and poorly planned work days. There are several small defects that a good contractor would have fixed or avoided, like scraped paint or chipped cabinet surface. These were minor. Every plumbing fixture leaked after the install was complete: the shower, sink handles, and toilet, in that order. I had my own plumber fix it due to Kitchen & Bath's continued incompetence in this area, costing over $250. I am very angry that we decided to remodel the bathroom due to lead and water damage, only to have them improperly install the plumbing, potentially causing water damage. I forgot to get the certificate of insurance before starting the project, and when I asked for it after, they never responded. My insurance agent also asked for it, and they never responded. Now there's a BBB complaint, with still no resolution. I just want the insurance certificate. So if anyone is going to hire them to do anything, only let them do tiling. Hire your own plumber. And if you can, set a daily schedule in the contract.

It was a total waste of time and unprofessional behavior on her end. She definitely has much to learn about customer service. As a general contractor and a realtor, I'd never use or suggest the company to my clients.

They have not compensated me at all. The salesman told me I would get $850 in rebates, and I am not eligible for that amount and rebates , so that was false information also.

The products that they offer are beautiful and they have so much to choose from . Also it all came in on a very timely manner ! The contractor that they had put in the cabinets and countertops Scott Besaw is a completely different story ! He is very unprofessional , he communicated my text message and dosent even give a invoice he just expected a check to be written out right away ! He installed the kitchen cabinet hardware unevenly my knobs for the pantry cabinet doors are very noticeable. I have a slide in range oven and he cut the " hole " out wrong to where the stove doesn't fit properly and there is a gap in the back of the stove that you can see down , when a slide in is supposed to fit flush to the countertops on all sides . He cut the backslash of the main countertop to " reduce " a gap inbetween the countertop its self and the wall but his cut job was VERY uneven and it was 1 1\2 Inc thick in some spots and not even 1inc thick in others . I tried reaching out to Scott and didn't get any responce. My grandfather who also questioned his work ended up being able to reach him to discuss the job and Scott was very defensive like anyone else would be and tried to explain his actions but my husband and I were still unhappy . We had another professional come in to give his explanation because still haven't heard anything from Scott and he advised us to take the pictures into the business. So that is exactly what I did , the ladies again were so helpful and listened to my concerns they even came to the house to look it all over themselves. After seeing the poor craftsmanship they reassured me that this will all be fixed and they will get into contact with Scott . After he had to come and look for himself they all agreed with me that the countertops were put in wrong and poor so the only way to fix it would be to start over again with new countertops and Scott would have to eat the cost ! So not only did I have to have my kitchen torn apart for the 2nd time and a plumber to hook up the sink for the 2nd time but my 70 year old grandfather had to help assist the " redo " project ! The cabinets were a gift from my grandparents and Scott never spoke with me and when he contacted to set up the time to come start the do over he spoke with my grandparents because " they were the ones with the money " that's excatly what he said !!!! Technically I still to this day have not heard back from Scott he still has not replied to all the times I reached out about the work he did at my home ! I was very upset with him and his work but very content with the quality of the countertops and cabinets themselves and the customer service we received from Anita ! I would highly recommended kitchen and bath design but highly recommend requesting someone other than Scott Besaw !! We had our first meeting with Kathy (Interior Designer) within a few days of contacting them. She came out to our home, talked with us about our needs and ideas, and took rough measurements right then and there so she could get started on renderings, material selection, and planning. Within a week, we were in her office reviewing a detailed, accurate work order that was nearly spot-on with our vision -- and at a price lower than we had anticipated! After answering what must have been a million questions from us over the next week or two (and letting us review other materials in the showroom), we came almost full circle back to Kathy's original design. Kathy was patient, kind, and quick to address all our needs as we worked through the initial planning process. Once we officially signed with AKB, it was less than a month before our project was scheduled and the dumpster arrived. Our lead carpenter, Pat, arrived the following morning and got to work right away. Outside of the electrician and plumbers, Pat was our main tradesperson for the project--from tear-out to tiling, he was skilled in all areas. Since I work from home, I was able to greet Pat each morning and talk over the day's work. He also showed a great deal of patience and kindness as I asked questions about the project, materials, techniques, and more. And since he was here for over a month, I got to learn more about him and his family. It was genuinely nice having him here each morning, putting his years of experience to work as he rebuilt our bathroom from the ground up.
